Escola Concept is a group of three vanguard schools (Toddlers to grade 12) founded in 2017 by Grupo SEB, a family owned organization, which is the largest K-12 education group in Brazil and the 6th largest in the world.
This company, which started with one school 60 years ago, now comprises 50+ schools all over Brazil, in addition to bilingual franchises in over 30 countries worldwide Today, Chaim Zaher, a refugee from Lebanon, and president of the company, has a team of over 6,000 change agents who are actively committed to impacting the lives of more than 350,000 students, be it through corporate-owned schools and/or franchises, or by developing innovative solutions for schools through their edtech hub called Conexia.
Escola Concept is part of Grupo SEB's commitment to moving the educational sector forward in Brazil through project-based approaches to teaching and learning The school's program is designed to nurture the dispositions of lifelong learners who collaborate to co-create, embrace an entrepreneurial mindset, understand the meaning of living sustainably, and are globally and digitally fluent Learners apply habits of mind to their daily actions, use the language of thinking to communicate, and understand the elements of design thinking to problem-solve and innovate. Learning is facilitated and assessed through relevant, project-based experiences in and outside of the classroom.
In 2018, one year after opening its first two campuses in Ribeirão Preto and Salvador, the flagship campus in São Paulo came into existence and is today one of the largest bilingual schools in Brazil with over 1000 learners.

The Escola Concept Salvador Campus opened in 2017 with grade levels that ranged from Toddlers 1 (1 year of age learners) to grade 6 The campus was designed through the lens of sustainability in the neighborhood of Piatã, amidst the extensive Atlantic Rainforest in an area that is owned and preserved by Escola Concept. An innovative, purpose-built, 3-story building, with multipurpose labs, a maker space, a stunning inspiration commons with a beautiful collection of books, a state-of-the-art auditorium, a full basketball court inspired by the 2016 Olympic courts replicated in our backyard, a fantastic gymnasium, and multiple flexible learning spaces are intertwined within the local vegetation and city landscape. Today, in 2023, Escola Concept has 393 impact-driven learners and is graduating its first senior class
