INTRODUCTION

Innovative Global Citizens

At Escola Concept São Paulo, the High School Learning EngineInnovative Global Citizens - extends far beyond academic experiences. Our clubs and activities program supports the growth of learners as collaborators, creators, problem-solvers, and community contributors. In 2026, we are strengthening this program by more intentionally encouraging learner-created and learner-led club, alongside an expanding sports program.

Beginning in February, learners will be invited to submit proposals for new clubs that will meet throughout the year. They will recruit faculty mentors, structure their clubs thoughtfully, appoint officers, design communication channels, and prepare booths for our first-ever Club Fair, where they will introduce their clubs and recruit members. This structure develops initiative, responsibility, collaboration, and creativity—aligned with the four Concept pillars of digital fluency, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and collaboration. Through leadership roles, project planning, community outreach, and digital platforms, learners will bring these pillars to life.

Faculty-led opportunities will also complement learner-led initiatives, ensuring a wide variety of experiences for all. Whether academic, artistic, service-oriented, or simply joyful, clubs and activities help cultivate belonging, purpose, and learner voice within the Concept community. Club Fair

WHAT WE VALUE CO-CURRICULAR LIFE

Our clubs and activities are intentionally designed to strengthen the values at the heart of the Concept Manifesto and the four pillars that guide our learning community.

COLLABORATION - SHARED PURPOSE, TEAMWORK, AND BELONGING

Clubs provide spaces where learners work together, build friendships, and collaborate toward meaningful goals. Cross-grade interaction, shared leadership roles, and joint projects help cultivate a strong sense of community.

DIGITAL FLUENCY - CREATING, COMMUNICATING, AND LEADING WITH DIGITAL TOOLS

Learners use digital platforms websites, design tools, communication systems, multimedia, and project management apps—to organize, promote, and showcase their club work. Digital fluency becomes a natural part of leadership and expression.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP - INITIATIVE, INNOVATION, AND BRINGING IDEAS TO LIFE

Learner-led clubs embody an entrepreneurial spirit through event planning, project design, risk taking, and creative problem-solving. From pitching club ideas to managing budgets or hosting events, learners apply real-world leadership skills.

SUSTAINABILITY - AWARENESS, RESPONSIBILITY, AND LONG-TERM THINKING

Many clubs engage with environmental care, resourcefulness, wellbeing, and habits that promote sustainable futures for the school, the community, and the planet. Sustainability also shapes how clubs design their projects and consider their impact.

Together, these four pillars ensure that co-curricular life at Escola Concept São Paulo is purposeful, inclusive, and aligned with the development of Innovative Global Citizens.

HOW TO START A CLUB STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

STEP 1 | COME UP WITH AN IDEA!

Think about what you are interested in. Look at the ideas in this booklet. Let your imagination run wild! What would interest you and others and broaden your horizons or allow you to dive more deeply into things you enjoy.

STEP 2 | RECRUIT A FACULTY MENTOR

Each club chooses a faculty mentor who provides guidance and helps ensure operations run smoothly (while allowing learners to lead).

STEP 3 | SUBMIT A CLUB PROPOSAL

In late February, learners complete a short proposal on Google Form generally describing the club’s purpose, goals, meeting schedule, and planned activities along with the name of the sponsor.

STEP 4 | BEGIN RECRUITING MEMBERS

Before the Club Fair, learners begin generating interest—speaking with peers, sharing informal announcements, and building excitement for the club’s launch.

STEP 5 | PREPARE FOR THE CLUB FAIR (AND ADVERTISING)

Learners create posters, introductory materials, and simple advertising (QR code for example). They design a booth that reflects the club’s purpose and engages potential members.

STEP 6 | BUILD YOUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Clubs appoint learner officers—such as President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Communications Lead, or Project Coordinator—to ensure shared ownership and sustainability.

STEP 7 | PLAN YOUR YEAR

Clubs outline their activities, meetings, projects, events, or initiatives for the year. This creates a sense of direction and commitment.

STEP 8 | CREATE COMMUNICATION CHANNELS

Clubs establish a consistent way to reach members - WhatsApp, a Google Site, email, or a simple website - to share updates, schedules, and materials.
