When my buddy Chris threw my daughter Savanna’s school project - a simple crocheted doily - to me 17 years ago, we got excited about discovering a frisbee that wouldn’t break houses or heads. We jokingly said we could sell a million of them. But when the Pocket Disc first soared at ASTRA, NY Toy Fair, and then Outdoor Retailer in 2008, we actually began to believe we might. Then we started dreaming about making a di erence in people’s lives.

About the Users

Now more than ever, we need simple fun. We need to get people o their phones and o their arses. We need people to unplug and reconnect in real life. That’s what Buena Onda Games does. We create smiles, connect families, friends and strangers through active, healthy play, indoors or out, rain or shine.

About the Earth

Our case packs come in cornstarch bags and biodegrade in less than 12 months. Last year we diverted 12 tons of bottles from the

landfill by using their reincarnated form as recycled pellets to stu our balls and sacks. We once refused a $30k order from Dicks Sporting Goods because they wanted plastic packaging. We don’t play that way.

When we say ‘Play For Good’, we’re talking about how the games help the families who play them, the families who make them, and the planet all our families live on.

About the Name

Buena Onda is a common phrase in Guatemala, loosely translating to ‘Good Vibes’ but it means a lot more. It describes someone who’s kind hearted, seeks to do good and loves life. That’s you – Pretty much all y’all – our rockin’ partners.

The good work that comes from the games doesn’t stop there.  We’re able to support the communities with projects like water filtration, lake grass plantings to improve the water quality, baby turtle releases, and to purchase school supplies for the children.
