RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT The iwis team of more than 60 engineers means that we have Europe’s largest R & D department for chain drive systems.
Besides researching fundamentals and developing innovative solutions tailor-made to suit our customers, our R & D department is mainly concerned with design calculations, fatigue testing and wear tests.

• Expert knowledge in the field of noise emission analysis and vibration engineering • Wide range of laboratory services such as microscopy, metallography, and the determination of mechanical properties, chemical composition and specialized analysis. • Dynamic vibration and load analysis of chain drives • Endurance calculations using FEM and other tools • Evaluation of the results of tests made on iwis or customer test rigs to verify simulation models • Climate chamber tests to ascertain parameters at different temperatures
