2025 Gratitude Report-Crisis Aid International

Page 1

Rooted in Hope. Growing a Legacy of Transformation

For more than two decades, Crisis Aid International has run toward suffering and remained long after the emergency has passed — walking alongside communities as they heal, rebuild and rediscover hope.

What began as a response to urgent need has grown into a long-term commitment to lasting change.

Over time, that commitment has led to community development initiatives intentionally designed to create generational impact. Through trusted relationships and proven approaches, we have seen that when compassion is paired with commitment and faith is put into action, sustainable transformation is possible.

The Generations Initiatives are the natural next step in this journey. They reflect our belief that true change empowers communities not only to survive today, but to thrive for generations to come. This report highlights both this year’s impact and the strong foundation you have helped build for the future.

From Relief to Resilience — Building Sustainability That Lasts

What began as has grown into a living model of demonstrating how long-term investment can break generational cycles of poverty.

These projects and communities not only to survive today, for generations to come.

This is just the beginning ...

With a strong foundation in place, we look ahead with clarity and bold faith. The work continues to focus on saving lives, saving souls and changing futures by strengthening communities from within — supporting sustainable solutions, developing local capacity and restoring dignity. As Generations Initiatives grow and mature, their impact will continue to reach far beyond today.

The Weight of a Future

Two pounds. That’s what hope looks like.

When 2-month-old Amirah arrived at our Pediatric Hospital in East Africa, she was barely clinging to life. Malnourished, dehydrated and in critical condition, her mother had used their last resources to get help.

Because of your generosity, Amirah received immediate, expert care — fluids, medicine and therapeutic feeding. After 24 days in the hospital, she had gained nearly 2 pounds and was strong enough to go home.

Her mother wept with gratitude, thanking God and the team who saved her daughter.

You didn’t just give medical care. You gave her a future.

In the mountains of Tigray, a young mother preparing to welcome her third child carries the weight of more than pregnancy. She must also secure water for her family.

To do so, she walks nearly a mile each way to a distant water source, sometimes making the trip twice a day. The path is dangerous, especially for children. When we first met her, we watched as she carefully locked her two small children inside their home before setting out alone, knowing it was the only way to keep them safe while she fetched water.

On a follow-up visit, we learned more of her story. Her husband now works with Crisis Aid on the mountain agriculture project — steady employment that has already brought stability and hope to their household. And we’re not done yet.

Through the Tesifa North Generations Initiative, a new water system is being built that will bring clean, reliable water directly to homes in the surrounding communities. For this mother and her family — and for hundreds of others — it will be life-changing.

Girls Village

Grace Met Her on the Streets

Anesa’s journey was once filled with despair.

She was living on the streets with no education and no hope. But thanks to the opportunities offered for trafficking victims at our Mercy Chapel in East Africa, Anesa has found a new life — a life she never thought possible.

Through the hairdressing class, she gained valuable skills, graduated and is now employed. But it’s not just the skills that have transformed her — counseling has helped her heal from her past, allowing her to give back and help others on their own journey.

“May God bless you all! You have taken us from the streets and given us life back. I am forever grateful!”

Anesa’s transformation wouldn’t have been possible without your support.
