Button says McLaren’s car is better than suggest

But despite that run of form, Button thinks that McLaren’s true pace is not being exploited yet – because it is struggling to understand the intricacies of Pirelli’s 2012 tyres. “I think we have a strong car, and aerodynamically it is strong, but I don’t think we are able to show it sometimes,” explained Button, ahead of the Monaco GP. “When we do, I think the car is very quick. “If you look at Lewis’ lap in qualifying [in Spain] and if you look at our race pace in China and Australia, it [the speed] is there, but it is extracting it which is quite difficult sometimes.” Button reckons that the biggest issue facing himself and his team was trying to get to grips with why the speed of cars is fluctuating so much this year. “The thing we don’t understand with the tyres is the difference of pace up and down the grid,” he said. “Pastor [Maldonado] qualified 17th in Bahrain, then qualified second in Spain, which got turned into pole. That is what is difficult to understand. “I don’t think Williams had a massive upgrade compared to everyone else. Vettel confuse about form shift Sebastian Vettel says Red Bull is still struggling to understand the disparity in performance between his Bahrain victory and his sixth-place finish at Catalunya. We have some ideas - I was pretty happy in practice on Friday and Saturday morning and coming into qualifying we just didn’t seem to make the step that the majority of the grid made. “It is difficult to draw a full conclusion because when you start further back you are likely to be in traffic for the first part of the race, but the gap to the front was too big - our maximum position was P5, it is not as if we could have argued over the first four places. “At the moment and it is difficult for us to understand why sometimes we are quick and sometimes we are slow and why the pace changes, [but] it is not only us struggling a bit at the moment.”

BONN — The advances made in U.N. climate talks last year appeared at risk Thursday as a rift between rich and poor countries reopened in negotiations aimed at crafting a global pact to stop the planet from overheating. The session in Bonn was meant to build on a deal struck in Durban, South Africa, in December, but the talks were faltering heading into the penultimate day amid disputes over what, exactly, was agreed on last year. Delegates were struggling to reach consensus on the agenda for future talks under the new Durban Platform, with China and others reluctant to close existing negotiating tracks that make clear distinctions between the responsibilities of developed and developing nations. “There is distrust and there is frustration in the atmosphere,” Seyni Nafo, spokesman for a group of African countries, told The Associated Press. The two-decade-old negotiations have had limited success in creating a global regime to rein in the emissions of heattrapping gases which a big majority of climate scientists say are warming the Earth, with potentially devastating consequences for poor countries ill-prepared to deal rising sea levels, floods and other effects of a changing climate. Actions taken and pledged so far fall well short of what the U.N. experts say is needed to achieve the stated goal of preventing global temperatures from rising more than 2 degrees Fahrenheit (1.2 degrees Celsius) above current levels by the end of this century. DENPASAR - Hundreds of room owners in Bali Kuta Residence (BKR), Wednesday (May 23) performed a demonstration at two different locations, namely in the State Property Office and Auction (KPKNL) of Denpasar and the office of BNI 46 bank at Renon, Denpasar. The demonstration involving about 300 people in middle Balinese traditional attires almost clashed. When the masses wanted to make a speech in the office of the BNI 46 Renon, all entrances were closed so there were no entry accesses. Such condition apparently made hundreds of demonstrators angry and they attempted to come in by opening the gates by force. Meanwhile, hundreds of police officers on guard at the front door were overwhelmed in the face of the masses. Since the masses exceeded the number of police officers, they managed to go in and made a speech in front of the office lobby of the BNI 46. They also unfurled several banners reading a number of demands. Observation of Bali Post last Wednesday indicated the masses originally did demonstration in the KPKNL Denpasar at 10:30 a.m. local time. The mass made a speech in front of the office and asked the auction to be postponed. Not only that, the masses also asked in order they could meet the officials of KPKNL to postpone the auction. Having demonstrated there for nearly an

hour, they resumed their oration to the office of BNI 46. Well, here they almost engaged in a clash because the access to the office of BNI 46 was closed by police officers. Nevertheless, they came in by force so that they were pushing one another. Not long after, they successfully went in and immediately made a speech in front of the office lobby of the BNI 46. They demanded the same thing, namely cancellation of the auction. In addition, they also asked the BNI 46 to hand over the certificate belonging to 104 room owners in BKR that remained to be held until now. An attorney of the BKR, Agus Samijaya, when asked for his confirmation on the sidelines of the demonstration said that their demand stayed the same as the previous one. They demanded in order the auction scheduled to be held on Thurs-

day (May 24) could be postponed. Meanwhile, his party still appealed to the Supreme Court related to the bankruptcy decision. Not only that, there were also six reported offenses in the Bali Police remaining under the process. “Even, the Bali Police have also issued a letter on the auction postponement, but it seems to be violated, too,” said Samijaya. Samijaya also asked the BNI 46 to deliver the certificate belonging to 104 home owners in BKR because the 104 certificates were included in the bundle of bankruptcy. After the demonstrators made a speech for almost an hour, the curator, BNI 46 and auction agency eventually made a decision of their meeting. They declared that the auction was postponed. DENPASAR - Dengue fever is an endemic disease always coming every year. The disease caused by a virus carried by Aedes aegypty has claimed many lives. The counteraction frequently performed by people to prevent the disease is to carry out fogging. However, the measure is not a perfect solution because it has a side effect. Some people complained if the fogging had caused shortness of breath. The unpleasant smell of smokes did not only disturb the mosquitoes and other insect species, but also harmed people in the fogging area. One of the Sesetan residents, Sukma, confessed that aside from causing shortness of breath, the fogging did not entirely kill the mosquitoes. Few hours after the fogging, the mosquitoes came again. In response to the issue, the Head of Bali Health Agency, Ketut Suarjaya, stated that fogging only killed the mosquitoes belonging to the species of Aedes aegypty. “If there are roaming mosquitoes, they are usually belonging to Culex species because the fogging substance only kills Aedes aegypty,” he said. Substances used in the fogging mixture consisted of diesel fuel and Sinof. If composition of the mixture was inappropriate and the fogging was done excessively, it would have a side effect that could cause shortness of breath and

other acute respiratory illnesses. An ideal composition of the substances used in the fogging, continued Suarjaya, should contain about 2-4 percent of Sipermetrin. In other words, 10 liters of solution contained 9.8 liters of diesel fuel and 200 cc of Sipermetrin. Fogging, according to Suarjaya, was one of the ways to prevent dengue fever. However, the most effective way was not fogging. An appropriate method to combat the mosquitoes was by eliminating their larvae. Although the mosquitoes had been eradicated through fogging, the larvae unaffected by fogging smokes would grow and develop into new mosquitoes. “The appropriate way to eradicate the dengue fever and other diseases caused by mosquito species is by mosquito nest eradication or familiarly known as the movement of draining, closing the water storage as well as burying and burning places likely to collect rain water,” said Suarjaya. Administration of Abate (mosquito larvicide) to fish ponds, aquarium or place that held water was also required. According to Suarjaya, Abate could be obtained from the nearest community health center at free of charge. “The inspection program by larvae monitoring officer (jumantik) to homes and administration of Abate are free of charge,” he said. According to Wirata the situation caused the family overwhelmed as the owner is not around yet has stated he will come home as soon as possible. The expansion conflict has got hot since end of year 2011 where the pro expansion huge group held an action when the contra expansion small group did a religious ceremony with the peak on Tuesday (22/5) evening until Wednesday (23/5) afternoon where mass blocked the road to the small group. By the end, more than 20,000 fans were on their feet and going wild for Jrue Holiday, Elton Brand, Andre Iguodala and the rugged-and-determined play that kept the eighth-seeded Philadelphia 76ers alive for at least one more game. Yes, the Sixers are talking about Game 7 — and they’re taking this improbable postseason run back to Boston. Holiday scored 20 points, and Brand had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Sixers to an 82-75 victory over the Celtics on Wednesday night that tied the Eastern Conference semifinals. No team has won consecutive games in a series where neither team has played well enough to seize control. But the Sixers were good enough to win Game 6, improving to 5-0 this postseason in games following a loss. “Game 7,” coach Doug Collins said. “That’s all we wanted was to win tonight and give ourselves a chance to go into Boston and see what happens on Saturday.” Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo could be playing their last game together Saturday night if they can’t find a way to hang onto the

Tokyo, Istanbul and Madrid made the first cut among bidders to host the 2020 Olympics, as the International Olympic Committee announced that Baku and Doha were dropped from the running. The IOC will decide which city will host the 2020 Olympics in a final vote on September 7, 2013, at Buenos Aires. That gives the remaining hopefuls more than 15 months to make final impressions upon the IOC to boost their candidacy. Tokyo 2020 bid chief Tsunekazu Takeda said being on the short list would help boost the spirits of the Japanese people after last year’s devastating earthquake and tsunami, which killed about 19,000 people. “I think this will be a big help for the Japanese people,” Takeda said. “I think it will give big, big power to the people who suffered the disaster.” Tokyo is the only one of the candidates to have hosted the event, doing so in 1964, and with a sound plan for hosting the Games and a powerful message, many see Tokyo as the pacesetter. Hosting the 2020 Olympics is seen as an opportunity to help rebuild the country and bring some much-needed joy to its people. DENPASAR - Complaints of some traders in Ketapian Market related to the accountability of the revitalization funds was finally addressed by the people’s representatives. They scheduled to summon the boards of the market to hear their clarification. It was intended to relieve the anxiety among a number of traders who had long kept some problems. Chairman of Commission C of the Denpasar House, I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa, contacted on Wednesday (May 23) said his party had heard about the complaints revealed by traders in that market. To find out the real substance, his party would soon invite the ranks of the market management, including the former committee of the market development. “We have planned to request clarification from the market management,” he said. In line with Arya Wibawa, another member of the Commission C, namely AA Susruta Ngurah Putra also said that complaint of the traders should be addressed. Even, this people’s representative of the Democratic Party asked to delay the second phase revitalization plan prior to resolving the existing problem of traders. “I think the most important is the accountability report. Moreover, it did not use individual funds, but the fund belonged to traders. Therefore,

it should be more transparent. Traders who jointly spent their money must obtain an accountability report,” he said. Susruta was also slightly surprised by the attitude of the market management and the Chief of PD Pasar who seemed equally irresponsible for the problems. “Nevertheless, the PD Pasar, in this regard the Chief (Westra), should be responsible as well, though the project was worked on by self-managed system. Moreover, the PD Pasar serves as supervisor and mentor of the traditional public markets in Denpasar. It’s strange if he is not willing to be responsible,” he quipped. Related to the demand for suspension against Bagus Agung from his position as the Chief of Ketapian Market, Susruta claimed to be unable to give much comment. “We must look at the rules first. Most importantly, the project accountability should be reported first to traders clearly and

in detail,” he explained. On the other hand, a member of Commission B, Wayan Mariyana Wandhira, said there was a bizarre impression in the project work, either regarding the sudden replacement of the project committee or the excess of building from the previous number. Similarly, the accountability report was not clearly communicated to traders so that they were disappointed. “If the problem is like this, I think the municipal government is weak in addressing the issue,” he said. As reported earlier, some traders in the Ketapian Market complained due to unclear accountability report regarding the revitalization fund of the first phase that had been completed several months ago. Additionally, relocation of the traders from the market courtyard to second floor was also delayed because it had not been roofed. Yet in between them, one elementary school at Buleleng, SDN 2 Sumberklampok, pupils might not get their graduate certificates unsigned by a principal as since the previous one retired last April 2012, Buleleng Education Agency hasn’t placed any definitive principal until last Wednesday (23/5), when actually such duty is important moreover under the National Education Minister Law No. 59 Year 2009 on Establishing Certificate, it has to be signed by an official principal in stating they have passed and graduated except if the school no longer exists then it would be established by the Regency’s Education Agency. The school’s certificates have been published has the name of the current principal which means if they were retired or mutated to another school then automatically the former school’s principal name will be there. If it’s not replaced straight away and reported to central government, the pupils certificates might not be signed and if it’s the Head of Education Agency then it doesn’t go either according to a reliable source of Buleleng Government. For that, the pupils’ parents were worried of the certificates legality. Meanwhile Head of Buleleng Workers Board, Ketut Wijana, confirmed that the principal of that school has retired and the procedure to find a definitive principal to replace is quite long consisting at first the Education Unit of Gerokgak will find candidates taking one week then it will be handed to Education Agency. This will then be looked over and handed in to the Workers Board to have a last check before going to Regent for producing Authority Letter. “Until now we haven’t received officially any suggestion who will be the principal at SDN 2 Sumberklampok from Buleleng Education Agency after a talked information on it that they have suggested a name, Wayan Sulistra. Teacher suspected molested kindergarten pupil arrested Bali Post

TABANAN - A teacher named Made Kam (30) that has sexually assaulted a kindergarten pupil got captured by Tabanan Police last Wednesday (23/5) at his house in Banjar Anyar Village, Kediri, to be investigated intensively at Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) with an evidence that victim’s vital part test resulted there was a ripped wound on it as confirmed by Head of Criminal Research, APC Nyoman Wirajaya as permitted by Head Police. According to victim, the assault happened twice with modus when victim was picked up late Kam would come up and assaulted victim. This action caused victim scared which caused victim’s parents worried and so interrogated their kid resulting that victim has been assaulted. “The parents then reported to police. We are still developing this case including victim’s explanation also other witnesses. If there are enough evidences, accused will be convicted by Section 81 Paragraph (1) Law 23/2002 on Child Protection,” Wirajaya explained. Meanwhile, Made Kam did not admit his acts. He did admit that victim was picked up late several times yet never used the opportunity to do such thing. He stated that during teaching he would be accompanied by principal or other teachers and so no such thing happened. Kam who’s married and have taught for seven years made sure would never do such immoral thing to an underage child and sadden there’s someone who would destroy his reputation using such case. “I will face the risks of this case. But for sure, I never have done such a thing,” Kam clarified. He also denied that he has been taken off as a teacher even though the school suggested him to be non active. Yet with no certain evidences, he decline to step down and will still teach as he admitted he has never done anything like that. As told before, an underage sexual assault came up again at Tabanan which victim named Mel (6). YANGON - Nobel laureate and opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi will travel outside Myanmar for the first time in 24 years next week to deliver a speech at an international forum in Thailand, her party said on Thursday. Her decision to venture outside the country she had only expected to return to temporarily in 1988 comes after a year of dramatic change in Myanmar after almost a half century of military rule. Suu Kyi, 66, won a parliamentary seat in April after engaging with the reformist rulers once part of the junta that locked her up for 15 years for her fight against dictatorship. An official from her National League for Democracy (NLD) party told Reuters Suu Kyi had accepted an invitation to attend the World Economic Forum on East Asia in Bangkok next week. Separately, NLD spokesman Nyan Win said Suu Kyi would head to neighboring Thailand on Mon-

day. Organisers could not confirm whether or not she would attend. Suu Kyi, the daughter of the leader of Myanmar’s campaign for independence from British rule, spent years away from home, including many in Britain after marrying a British academic, Michael Aris. She returned to her homeland in 1988 to take care of her dying mother and got caught up in a student-led democracy uprising that swept the country that year and which the military eventually crushed. Suu Kyi was first detained in 1989 and spent 15 of the next 21 years in detention until her release from house arrest in November 2010. She refused to leave the country during brief periods when she was not held by authorities, for fear of not being allowed to return, even after her husband was diagnosed with cancer. Aris died in 1999. Suu Kyi had announced in April she would make Britain and Norway her first ports of call, but her plans appear to have changed.

British Prime Minister David Cameron lashed out at fellow EU leaders Wednesday for reviving a proposal for a financial transaction tax, saying it was a bad idea and he would fight it all the way. Cameron said that an EU summit in Brussels which discussed the eurozone’s debt crisis was a “good meeting” in that it had focused on growth and the need for structural reforms. “There were good innovative ideas that can help growth in Europe, but frankly there were some bad ideas too. In a project announced this week, Oxford University and Lausanne Museum of Zoology scientists appealed to museums, scientists and Yeti aficionados to share hair samples thought to be from the mythical ape-like creature.

Lab scientists on Wednesday reported that for the first time they had taken skin cells from patients who had suffered heart failure and turned them into cells that could repair damaged cardiac muscle. The technique has so far been tested on rats and it could take up to a decade of problem-solving before trials can go ahead on humans, the scientists cautioned. Even so, it marks an important advance in the quest for replacement cells to treat tissue affected by disease, said the scientists who developed the technique in Israel. The research uses a method called human-induced pluripotent stem cells, or hiPSCs, a recentlydiscovered source that is viewed as an exciting and less controversial research alternative to embryonic

stem cells. It entails taking cells from a patient and introducing genes to the cell nucleus. Helped by a chemical “cocktail,” these genes then act as switches which reprogramme the cells back to their versatile, youthful state. The ultimate goal is that if a patient’s own cells are used as the replenishment source, they will be recognised as friendly by the immune system and not be attacked. Recent studies have shown it is possible to derive hiPSCs from young and healthy people and that these are capable of transforming into heart cells. But until now, hiPSCs could not be obtained from elderly and diseased patients. Nor have researchers been able to show that heart cells created from hiPSCs can integrate with existing heart tissue.

New genetic tests will be done on just a few strands of hair and should be completed within weeks. Even if the sample is judged to come from an unknown species, scientists should be able to tell how closely it is related to other species, including apes or humans. Bryan Sykes of Oxford University said the group had already received many offers of samples to test, including blood, hair, and items supposedly chewed by Bigfoot. Sykes and colleagues plan to sift through the samples for the next few months before deciding which specimens to test. They will then publish their results in a peer-reviewed journal. Other experts agreed recent advances made in DNA testing could theoretically solve the Bigfoot question. “If the Yeti is real and somebody has

found bits of their hair, you should be able to tell from the DNA in the hair if this is actually a Yeti,” said Mark Thomas, a professor of evolutionary genetics at University College London. He is not connected to the Bigfoot project. But Thomas was unsure how likely it was anyone might have actual Yeti hairs. Some scientists theorize Yetis are either a distinct hominid species, or a mix between homo sapiens and Neanderthals or other species. There is already evidence of interbreeding between homo sapiens and Neanderthals. “If Yetis have survived for the last 30,000 years, they have probably had a pretty miserable existence and are a small population vulnerable to extinction,” Thomas said. “It’s not as insane an idea as many might think, but the chances are pretty small.”

Balinese Temple Ceremony Every Temple and Shrine has a special date for it annual Ceremony, or “ Odalan “, every 210 days according to Balinese calendar, including the smaller ancestral shrine which each family possesses. Because of this practically every few days a ceremony of festival of some kind takes place in some Village in Bali. There are also times when the entire island celebrated the same Holiday, such as at Galungan, Kuningan, Nyepi day, Saraswati day, Tumpek Landep day, Pagerwesi day, Tumpek Wayang day etc. The dedication or inauguration day of a Temple is considered its birth day and celebration always takes place on the same day if the wuku or 210 day calendar is used. When new moon is used then the celebration always happens on new moon or full moon. The day of course can differ the religious celebration of a temple lasts at least one full day with some temple celebrating for three days while the celebration of Besakih temple, the Mother Temple, is never less than 7 days and most of the time it lasts for 11 days, depending on the importance of the occasion. The celebration is very colorful. The shrine are dressed with pieces of cloths and sometimes with brocade, sailings, decorations of carved wood and sometimes painted with gold and Chinese coins, very beautifully arranged, are hung in the four corners of the shrine. In front of shrine are placed red, white or black umbrellas depending which Gods are worshipped in the shrines. In front of important shrine one sees, besides these umbrellas soars, tridents and other weapons, the “umbulumbul”, long flags, all these are prerogatives or attributes of Holiness. In front of the Temple gate put up “Penjor”, long bamboo poles, decorated beautifully ornaments of young coconut leaves, rice and other products of the land. Most beautiful to see are the girls in their colorful attire, carrying offerings, arrangements of all kinds fruits and colored cakes, to the Temple. Every visitor admires the grace with which the carry their load on their heads.

Both sides have been publicly upbeat about the scope for an outline deal following a 15-month diplomatic freeze and exploratory talks in Istanbul last month. But in Vienna, western diplomatic sources said a U.N. watchdog report was expected to show Iran has installed more uranium enrichment centrifuges at an underground site, potentially boosting output capacity of the nuclear work the major powers want it to stop.

MONTREAL - A peaceful evening march that began with people banging pots and pans in support of protesting students ended in the early morning hours with police kettling demonstrators and arresting 400 of them after officers were pelted with projectiles. Montreal wasn’t the only city to have roundups Wednesday night. There were also mass arrests at student protests in Quebec City and Sherbrooke. Kettling is a police tactic widely used in Europe where riot cops surround demonstrators and limit or cut off their exits. It has been widely criticized because it often results in the scooping up of innocent bystanders as well as rowdies. A recent report by Ontario’s police watchdog blasted Toronto police for their use of kettling during the G20 summit two years ago, saying they violated civil rights, detained people illegally and used excessive force. The Montreal demonstration was the 30th since the student protest against tuition fee increases began more than three months ago. The nightly march, which starts

from an east-end park, was declared illegal by police the minute it was scheduled to start but was allowed to proceed for almost four hours before a line of Montreal riot cops blocked part of Sherbrooke Street as the marchers approached. Riot squad officers had been marching on the sidewalk beside the front of the protest all evening. An order to disperse was given when it arrived at Sherbrooke Street because police had been pelted by projectiles and other criminal acts had been committed, Montreal police spokesman Daniel Lacoursiere said. The group had also apparently resisted going in a direction ordered by police. Montreal police said those arrested could face charges under municipal bylaws or the Criminal Code. As the march approached the line of police on Sherbrooke

Street, other Montreal officers and Quebec provincial police riot squad members moved in to cut off the other three sides of the street, which at that point intersected St-Denis Street, a trendy avenue dotted with bars, restaurants and theatres. Police charged the demonstrators snaring them in a pen-like encirclement of grim-faced cops. Some demonstrators reacted angrilly to the tactic while others sat dazed. The swift police action squeezed the mob together tighter and tighter as the officers advanced and some people begged to be let out, pleading they were bystanders. One photographer was seen to be pushed to the ground and a piece of equipment was heard breaking. Some protesters cursed and yelled at provincial police officers, who ignored the taunts.

BEIJING - The brother of blind activist Chen Guangcheng has fled his village in northeastern China, evading a security clampdown to seek help from lawyers for his son who has been detained in a case that has become a rallying point among rights activists. Chen Guangfu, the eldest brother of Chen Guangcheng, told Reuters that he walked out of his home in Shandong province at 3 a.m. (1900 GMT) on Tuesday, eluding the increased number of sentries near his village by avoiding roads and running through fields. He arrived in Beijing on Wednesday evening after a six-hour journey by car. His activist brother escaped Dongshigu village in late April after 19 months of detention at home, following a similar route to the capital before taking refuge in the U.S. embassy, where he stayed for six days and sparked a diplomatic crisis between China and the United States. That crisis, which overshadowed a visit by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, was finally defused on Saturday when China allowed Chen to fly to the United States to study. But while Chen Guangcheng spent his first few days in New York after years of jail and detention, most of his family back home in Shandong has remained under a security clampdown.

WASHINGTON — Regulators are examining whether Morgan Stanley, the investment bank that shepherded Facebook through its highly publicized stock offering last week, selectively informed clients of an analyst’s negative report about the company before the stock started trading.

The only existing binding treaty, the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, was shunned by the U.S. because it doesn’t impose any emissions targets on China, thus leaving out the two biggest carbon emitters on the globe. After Canada, Japan and Russia dropped out, the treaty’s second commitment period covers only about 15 percent of global emissions. After painstaking negotiations in Durban, countries agreed to create a new pact by 2015 that would take effect five years later and include both developed and developing countries. But the European Union said that package of decisions was at risk of unraveling because of the bickering at the conference in Bonn, which is supposed to lay the groundwork for a bigger climate summit in Qatar, at the end of the year. “We are very concerned that the spirit of cooperation that prevailed in Durban has not carried over into this session,” EU delegate Christian Pilgaard Zinglersen told the conference Wednesday. The EU claims China and other developing countries are backsliding on commitments made in Durban to conduct future talks on emissions cuts within the new platform. Developing countries accuse the U.S., EU and other industrialized nations of trying to evade commitments made under previous negotiating tracks and shift responsibilities for tackling climate change to the developing world.

Rick Ketchum, the head of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the self-policing body for the securities industry, said Tuesday that the question is “a matter of regulatory concern” for his organization and the Securities and Exchange Commission. The top securities regulator for Massachusetts, William Galvin, said he had subpoenaed Morgan Stanley. Galvin said his office is investigating whether Morgan Stanley divulged to only some clients that one of its analysts had cut his revenue estimates for Facebook before the stock hit the market on Friday. Some brokerages were still sorting out the aftermath on Tuesday. “Unfortunately, our clients continue to feel the effects of this in some cases,” said Stephen Austin, a spokesman for Fidelity Investments, one of the country’s largest brokerages. on Friday to be executed. Fidelity’s systems had performed normally, Austin said. In the meantime, Facebook stock itself has been a disappointment. BRUSSELS - European Union leaders, advised by senior officials to prepare contingency plans in case Greece decides to quit the single currency, urged the country to stay the course on austerity and complete the reforms demanded under its bailout program. After nearly six hours of talks held during an informal dinner, leaders said they were committed to Greece remaining in the euro zone, but it had to stick to its side of the bargain too, a commitment that will mean a heavy cost for Greeks. “We want Greece to stay in the euro, but we insist that Greece sticks to commitments that it has agreed to,” German Chancellor Angela Merkel told reporters after a Wednesday evening summit in Brussels dragged long into the night. Three officials told Reuters the instruction to have plans in place for a Greek exit was agreed on Monday during a teleconference of the Eurogroup Working Group (EWG) - experts who work for euro zone finance ministers. The Greek finance ministry denied there was any such agreement but Belgian Finance Minister Steven Vanackere, said: “All the contingency plans (for Greece) come back to the same thing: to be responsible as a government is to foresee even what you hope to avoid.” Two other senior EU officials confirmed the call and its contents, saying contingency planning was only sensible. In its monthly report, Germany’s Bundesbank said the situation in Greece was “extremely worrying” and it was jeopardizing any further financial aid by threatening not to implement reforms agreed as part of its two bailouts. It said a euro exit would pose “considerable but manageable” challenges for its European partners, raising pressure on Athens to stick with its painful economic reforms. Greek officials have said that without outside funds, the country will run out of money within two months and there remains the threat that if it crashes out of the euro zone, other member states could be brought down too. A document seen by Reuters detailed the potential costs to individual member states of a Greek exit and said that if it came about, an “amiable divorce” should be sought with the EU and IMF possibly giving up to 50 billion euros to ease its path. Although EU leaders’ minds will have been focused by that prospect, disagreements have flared over a plan for mutual euro zone bond issuance and other measures to alleviate two years of debt turmoil, such as giving countries like Spain an extra year to make the spending cuts demanded of them. “The idea is to put energy into the growth motor. To avoid any misunderstanding, based on the Finance Section report through the Agency’s Secretary, the 2010 salary was not suggested on the Mended Budget of Bangli Budget and Expenses 2010 causing no budget has been allocated to pay their salary at December 2010. Meanwhile for 2009, based on the Budget List has been signed yet not known where the salary went. For 2011, the salaries have been paid fully which have shortened Bangli’s main 2011 Budget and Expenses. “That’s why I suggested Mended Budget in 2011, so their salary was received fully. Since the construction, the Tampaksiring Presidential Palace was designed for a resting place for the president of the Republic of Indonesia, their families and state guests. Currently, Tampaksiring has a new museum and is named Museum of Sukarno the Proclaimer President of the RI. The museum established by the Sukarno Center showcasing about 150 photograph collections of Bung Karno and some relics of the Indonesia’s first president was inaugurated on Thursday (Nov 10). The two-floored building spread over an area of 1,000

square meters was inaugurated by the Chairman of The Sukarno Center’s Board of Trustees who is also the daughter of Bung Karno, Sukmawati Sukarnoputri. “Historical evidences that can be seen in this museum are in the form of photos mostly come from the archives of Bung Karno Foundation. The collections presented are those remaining to be well preserved,” said Sukmawati. Sukmawati also hoped that people could immediately recognize Bung Karno by watching the collections in the museum. In the future, the museum would continue to be developed so that more collections could be displayed.

PREPARATION: 1. Heat stock, add seafood, marinade and bring to boil. Simmer 2 minutes 2. Add salam leaves, lemongrass and papaya, simmer gently until the papaya is 95% tender. Add coconut milk and seafood and continue to simmer (do not boil) until papaya and seafood is tender. 3. If the stock reduces too much, add more stock 4. Season to taste with pepper and salt and garnish with fried shallots. Note: If you wish to prepare a lighter version of this soup then leave coconut milk and seafood out.

(Diced Fish Roasted in Banana Leaf) OVERVIEW: The spicy fish dish is excellent for barbeques. INGREDIENTS: 600 gr (1¼ 1lb) boned mackerel fillets, skin removed and cut in 2.5 cm (1in) cubes ½ cup basic marinade 1 heaped tbsp tamarind pulp, soaked in ¼ cup warm water and juice extracted 1 tsp black peppercorns, crushed 1 ½ tsp salt 3 lemon leaves, cut in hair like shreds 3 tbsp oil 2 salam leaves 2 square of banana leaf 30x30cm (10x10 in) PREPARATION: In deep bowl combine mackerel cubes, spice paste, tamarind juice, crushed black pepper, salt, lime leaf and oil, and mix very well in order to coat fish evenly. Cover and marinate in cool place for 2 hours. Place one salam leaf in center of each piece of banana leaf. Top with half of seafood mix and fold the same way as for Tum Bebek. Place parcels directly onto moderately hot charcoal and roast very slowly for one hour. Alternatively, bake on rack in a moderate oven or under a grill for about 30 minutes. Serve with Sambal Matah, Sambel Tomat, wedges of lime and steamed rice.
