American literary giant Philip Roth dead at 85

Prolific novelist Philip Roth, a dominant force in American literature throughout the latter half of the 20th century, has died at the age of 85. Roth’s death on Tuesday, first reported by the New Yorker and The New York Times, was later confirmed by Roth’s literary agent Andrew Wylie. He said the cause was congestive heart failure. Roth won the 1998 Pulitzer Prize for fiction for his acclaimed novel “American Pastoral.” “I’m in a state of shock. I’m stunned and speechless. He was a truth teller,” Roth’s friend Judith Thurman, also a writer, said. A prolific essayist and critic, Roth was best known for mining the Jewish-American experience in his work. He first achieved fame for his 1969 novel “Portnoy’s Complaint,” about a horny teenager named Alexander Portnoy. His titanic stature on the postWorld War II literary scene came from the universality of his message -- in his own words: “I don’t write Jewish, I write American.” He long managed to sustain his literary output both in terms of quality as well as quantity, as exemplified by his widely admired political trilogy that included “American Pastoral”, “I Married a Communist” (1998) and “The

NEW YORK - Kendrick Lamar, the US music star and Pulitzer prize winner, halted a recent gig to call out a white fan for rapping the “n-word” from his own lyrics. The woman, who gave her name only as Delaney, was one of several fans reportedly called on stage to perform Lamar’s 2012 hit “M.A.A.D City” at the Hangout Festival in Alabama on Sunday. But Delaney failed to self-censor and repeated several times the “n-word” from the lyrics to the song. The word, while co-opted by black artists, remains the most derogatory term in the United States to refer to African Americans. Uttering it is a taboo for white people. “Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,” said 30-year-old Lamar, who comes from the historically deprived Los Angeles community of Compton, cutting her off and stopping the music. The fan was initially baffled. “Am I not cool enough for you? What’s up, bro?” Delaney said. “You gotta bleep one single word though,” Lamar replied.

As realization dawned, she apologized, saying, “Oh, I’m sorry. Did I do it?” “Yeah you did it,” Lamar said. He asked the audience whether she should remain on stage. They yelled back no, but Billboard magazine reported that Lamar allowed her to perform the song once again, anyway, this time without the slur. The incident provoked a storm of reactions on social media, spotlighting America’s continuing struggle with racism and the controversy surrounding the word. “#KendrickLamar is BLACK, he can say, write and rap the n-word. The girl is WHITE, that word should never leave her mouth,” tweeted one woman from Wyoming, Michigan under the handle @Michele11Amber. “It’s not that hard to keep that word out of your mouth. STOCKHOLM - Swedish superstar DJ Avicii, who died last month aged 28, is to be buried “privately” with only his closest relatives and friends present, his family said on Tuesday. The musician, whose real name was Tim Bergling, was found dead on April 20 in Muscat, the capital of the Gulf sultanate Oman, where he had been on holiday with friends. In a statement, his family confirmed that “the funeral will be pri-

As usual, the BAF of this year also returns to be filled with craft exhibitions at the Denpasar Art Center. A total of 215 booths are prepared where 92 booths are under Ardha Candra Amphitheater, 87 booths under Ksiraarnawa Building, 26 booths in West Parking, and 10 booths in South Parking (Dekranasda).

Most importantly, there should be no discounts like the products sold in the night market. “From here, we will build the image of our products in order to get the place through the installation of price tags. In short, they should have the same price with the same quality, so wherever visitors purchase they are the same. Never mutually offer discounted prices,” he explained. Astawa added that craftsmen should not mutually compete. Instead, they must synergize to build a network so that at the end they mutually reinforce. For example, there are consumers wishing to find product A in one of the crafters. If it does not have the product, the craftsman should direct

GIANYAR - The number of foreign workers in Gianyar district continues to grow every year. Moreover, the increase shows a significant trend. This was disclosed by the Head of the Gianyar Manpower Agency, A.A. Dalem Jagadhita, on Tuesday (May 22). He explained that in 2016 there were 67 foreign workers. This

World faces ‘staggering’ obesity challenge: study

PARIS - In 27 years from now, almost a quarter of the global population will be obese, researchers said Wednesday, warning of the mounting medical bill. If current trends continue, 22 percent of people in the world will be obese by 2045, up from 14 percent last year, according to research presented at the European Congress on Obesity in Vienna. One in eight people, up from one in 11, will have type 2 diabetes -- a form of the disease that generally hits in adulthood as a result of being overweight. “These numbers underline the staggering challenge the world will face in the future in terms of numbers of people who are obese, or have type 2 diabetes, or both,” said researcher Alan Moses of Danish healthcare company Novo Nordisk’s research and development department. “As well as the medical challenges these people will face, the costs to countries’ health systems will be enormous,” he added. In the United States, the researchers found obesity will increase from 39 percent of the population in 2017 to 55 percent in 2045, and diabetes from 14 percent to 18 percent. In Britain, the proportion will swell from 32 percent to 48 percent, with the incidence of diabetes rising from 10.2 percent to 12.6 percent. Already, health systems are spending “huge sums just to treat diabetes,” the researchers said in a statement.

On Thursday in South Korea the supreme court will consider repealing a law where abortion is illegal except for instances of rape, incest and when the mother’s health is at risk. And in Ireland on Friday voters will decide in a referendum on whether to repeal their own law, which outlaws abortion unless there is a real and substantial risk to the mother’s life. Here is a snapshot of the global situation on abortion in countries where the laws are the most restrictive. - Total ban -

Predominantly Catholic Malta is the only European Union country to totally ban abortion, imposing jail terms of between 18 months and three years if the law is broken. Abortion is also banned in Andorra, the Vatican and San Marino, which are in Europe but not the EU. Globally there are total bans in Congo-Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominican Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Honduras, Laos, Madagascar, Mauritania, Nicaragua, Philippines, Palau, Senegal and Suriname. They divided the population of each country into age groups, and further into body mass index (BMI) categories, and looked at trends to make projections. BMI is a ratio of height to weight used to divide people into low- to high-risk categories for developing heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and certain cancers. A person with a BMI of 25 or more is considered overweight, and 30 or higher obese. A healthy BMI ranges from 18.5 to 24.9. The researchers said turning the tide on obesity would require “aggressive and coordinated action”. “Each country is different based on unique genetic, social and environmental conditions which is why there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach that will work,” Moses said. “Individual countries must work on the best strategy for them.” The research results have not yet been published in a scientific journal but were peer reviewed for selection at the congress. A global survey in 2016 said the ratio of obese adults had more than doubled in the 40 years since 1975. Of about five billion adults alive in 2014, 641 million were obese, it found. (afp)

A partial list includes: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Guatemala, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Lebanon, Myanmar, Oman, Paraguay, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, Uganda, Venezuela, West Bank/Gaza and Yemen. Last September Chile ended its strict ban, which had been in force for decades, when then president Michelle Bachelet signed into law legislation to decriminalise abortion in certain cases, including on health issues. In Brazil a bill is under consideration in congress that would ban access to all abortions, even in cases of rape and for women whose lives are in danger. Unlike the rest of the United Kingdom, abortion is also illegal in the province of Northern Ireland except when the mother’s life is in danger. The British government said in June 2017 it will fund abortions in England for women arriving from Northern Ireland. Other countries also allow abortions only in cases of rape or threat to the mother’s or baby’s health. In EU member Poland, which has one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the bloc, a new bill, which could pass in parliament where conservatives have a majority, would outlaw abortion except in cases where the mother has been raped or is a victim of incest. In the United States abortion was legalised nationwide in 1973, but has been under pressure since Donald Trump became president, with some Republicans seeking restrictions. The US state of Iowa in early May signed into law a ban on abortions once a foetal heartbeat is detected, which occurs as early as six weeks into a pregnancy. BANGLI - The export market of bamboo handicrafts produced by craftsmen at Kayubihi village has changed since the past few years. One of the triggers is the presence of many similar products in the market produced by craftsmen of China. Sluggish exports of bamboo craft products have caused many craftsmen to switch orientation to the local market and even switch professions.

Headman of Kayubihi, Ketut Widiana, when met on Tuesday (May 22) revealed that many bamboo handicraft products are exported to some countries. Some of the products are windchimes, cake container and tray. The export destination countries are Japan, China, France and some European countries. “Craftsmen at our village have started exporting bamboo handicraft products since the 1990s. The number of craftsmen exporting their products at that time is quite a lot,” he said. However, since 2012 the number of craftsmen exporting bamboo handicrafts has decreased due to the sluggish export market. According to Widiana, one of

the causes of sluggish exports is the presence of many competitors of similar products in the market produced by China. “Now, the number of craftsmen exporting craft products is only about eight people. But in the past, there were many,” he explained. Other than export market, the sales of handicraft products in the local market are also recognized to be sluggish. It is caused by unfair price competition between craftsmen and sellers. He explained that among the sellers in the local market such as art markets sell their craft products at low prices, just to make selling. As consequence, it affects the product selling price at the crafters level. On the other hand, the price of raw materials of the handicrafts, other than bamboo, continues to increase significantly. “Unification of the prices is still difficult,” he said. Widiana added that many types of bamboo craft products produced by residents of Kayubihi remains to survive in terms of sales, namely the sokasi (food or oblation basket) handicraft. In a surprise announcement Pyongyang said earlier this month that it planned to “completely” destroy the Punggye-ri facility in the country’s northeast, a move welcomed by Washington and Seoul. Punggye-ri has been the site of all six of the North’s nuclear tests, the latest and by far the most powerful in September last year, which Pyongyang said was an H-bomb. The demolition is due to take place sometime between Wednesday and Friday, depending on the weather. The North has portrayed the destruction on the test site as a goodwill gesture ahead of planned June 12 summit between Kim and Trump in Singapore. But doubts have since been cast by both sides on whether that

potentially historic meeting will take place. Last week Pyongyang threatened to pull out if Washington pressed for its unilateral nuclear disarmament. Trump also said the meeting could be delayed as he met with South Korean leader Moon Jae-in in Washington on Tuesday. “There are certain conditions we want to happen. Taiwan’s Foxconn Industrial Internet, which makes electronic devices, cloud service equipment and industrial robots, will float 10 percent of its total shares, according to a prospectus filed late Tuesday with the Shanghai stock exchange.

Taipei-based Foxconn itself, which is also known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, is the world’s largest electronics contract manufacturer, a major supplier of components and assembler of products by international brands such as Apple and Sony.

Foxconn Industrial Internet will issue 1.97 billion new shares at 13.77 yuan per share to raise 27.1 billion yuan ($4.2 billion). The IPO would be the biggest in mainland China since a market crash in 2015 and one of the largest ever for the country’s stock exchanges. Foxconn said it will use the funds raised to upgrade its smart manufacturing, build internet platforms to connect factories and invest in cloud computing and fifth-generation

communication technologies in its mainland factories. The IPO will be the largest in mainland China since June 2015, when Guotai Junan Securities raised more than $4.8 billion. After that, a prolonged bout of Chinese stock market turbulence, which saw the key Shanghai index tumble nearly 40 percent in a little more than two months, put a chill on big-ticket listings. The pace of growth of eurozone business activity continued to slow in May, as companies became less optimistic about the state of the economy in Europe, a key survey showed on Wednesday. Data monitoring company IHS Markit also flagged strong slowdowns in France and Germany, though employment growth in the 19-country single currency bloc remained robust. The purchasing managers’ index (PMI) by IHS Markit fell to 54.1 in May, which was lower than

forecasts by analysts. A figure over 50 indicates the economy is expanding. The analysts at Markit cautioned that the slowdown in growth, which followed a bumper start of the year, was partly due to an unusually high number of public holidays in May. “However, it’s also becoming increasingly evident that underlying growth momentum has slowed compared to late last year, especially in relation to exports,” said Chris Williamson, an economist at IHS Markit.

The PMI data aligned with a recent line of statistics that suggested the European economy was falling back from solid recovery. Earlier this month, official data said growth in the eurozone slowed in the first quarter this year to 0.4 percent. The data confirmed a warning by European Central Bank chief Mario Draghi that growth in the 19-country single currency bloc was reaching “some moderation” in the face of protectionist dangers. (afp)

Komnas Perempuan calls to offer protection to Ahmadiyya community

JAKARTA - The National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) has called on the state to protect the Ahmadiyya community in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) that had been the target of attacks since October 1998. Later, on May 19-20, 2018, another attack and vandalism against the Ahmadiyya community in East Lombok District, NTB, came to light. Commissioner of Komnas Perempuan Imam Nahe`i, in his official statement here on Tuesday noted that based on the complaints received by Komnas Perempuan from the victims` representatives, attacks were in the form of expulsion, threats, intimidation, and destruction of houses. “The attack targeted seven Ahmadiyya heads of households, resulting in six damaged houses, four heavily damaged motorbikes, and household items destroyed, while 24 residents were forced to evacuate to the East Lombok Police station,” Nahe`i stated.

He remarked that Ahmadiyya`s residents reported to the police about the attacks and violence that had taken place since March 2018, but the local security apparatus was unable to prevent the action. Komnas Perempuan recorded attacks on Ahmadiyya people in NTB since October 1998, and such incidents have continued to increase at a steady rate that led to cases of expulsion from 2005 to 2006. Nahe`i said such actions could have a prolonged impact, especially on women. Komnas Perempuan has urged the central and regional governments to prioritize the immediate fulfillment of human rights and the Constitutional rights of Ahmadiyya people, as their rights, including the right to feel secure, have been neglected since 2006. Komnas Perempuan has called on the state to offer comprehensive treatment to the victims of intolerance, with special attention given to women`s vulnerability in accordance with the Social Conflict Handling Act. Komnas Perempuan calls to offer protection to Ahmadiyya community

JAKARTA - The National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) has called on the state to protect the Ahmadiyya community in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) that had been the target of attacks since October 1998. Later, on May 19-20, 2018, another attack and vandalism against the Ahmadiyya community in East Lombok District, NTB, came to light. Commissioner of Komnas Perempuan Imam Nahe`i, in his official statement here on Tuesday noted that based on the complaints received by Komnas Perempuan from the victims` representatives, attacks were in the form of expulsion, threats, intimidation, and destruction of houses. “The attack targeted seven Ahmadiyya heads of households, resulting in six damaged houses, four heavily damaged motorbikes, and household items destroyed, while 24 residents were forced to evacuate to the East Lombok Police station,” Nahe`i stated.

He remarked that Ahmadiyya`s residents reported to the police about the attacks and violence that had taken place since March 2018, but the local security apparatus was unable to prevent the action. Komnas Perempuan recorded attacks on Ahmadiyya people in NTB since October 1998, and such incidents have continued to increase at a steady rate that led to cases of expulsion from 2005 to 2006. Nahe`i said such actions could have a prolonged impact, especially on women. Komnas Perempuan has urged the central and regional governments to prioritize the immediate fulfillment of human rights and the Constitutional rights of Ahmadiyya people, as their rights, including the right to feel secure, have been neglected since 2006. Komnas Perempuan has called on the state to offer comprehensive treatment to the victims of intolerance, with special attention given to women`s vulnerability in accordance with the Social Conflict Handling Act. Taipei-based Foxconn itself, which is also known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, is the world’s largest electronics contract manufacturer, a major supplier of components and assembler of products by international brands such as Apple and Sony.

Foxconn Industrial Internet will issue 1.97 billion new shares at 13.77 yuan per share to raise 27.1 billion yuan ($4.2 billion). The IPO would be the biggest in mainland China since a market crash in 2015 and one of the largest ever for the country’s stock exchanges. Foxconn said it will use the funds raised to upgrade its smart manufacturing, build internet platforms to connect factories and invest in cloud computing and fifth-generation

The pace of growth of eurozone business activity continued to slow in May, as companies became less optimistic about the state of the economy in Europe, a key survey showed on Wednesday. Data monitoring company IHS Markit also flagged strong slowdowns in France and Germany, though employment growth in the 19-country single currency bloc remained robust. The purchasing managers’ index (PMI) by IHS Markit fell to 54.1 in May, which was lower than

forecasts by analysts. A figure over 50 indicates the economy is expanding. The analysts at Markit cautioned that the slowdown in growth, which followed a bumper start of the year, was partly due to an unusually high number of public holidays in May. “However, it’s also becoming increasingly evident that underlying growth momentum has slowed compared to late last year, especially in relation to exports,” said Chris Williamson, an economist at IHS Markit.

The PMI data aligned with a recent line of statistics that suggested the European economy was falling back from solid recovery. Earlier this month, official data said growth in the eurozone slowed in the first quarter this year to 0.4 percent. enjoyed together through megibung in the area of the Bale Agung temple. “This ritual is a heritage we’ve received and shall be held every year,” he said. SEOUL - Invited foreign journalists gathered in North Korea Wednesday to witness the slated destruction of the reclusive regime’s nuclear test site, a high profile gesture on the road to a summit with the US that Donald Trump now says might not happen. In a surprise announcement Pyongyang said earlier this month that it planned to “completely” destroy the Punggye-ri facility in the country’s northeast, a move welcomed by Washington and Seoul. Punggye-ri has been the site of all six of the North’s nuclear tests, the latest and by far the most powerful in September last year, which Pyongyang said was an H-bomb. The demolition is due to take place sometime between Wednesday and Friday, depending on the weather. The North has portrayed the destruction on the test site as a goodwill gesture ahead of planned June 12 summit between Kim and Trump in Singapore. But doubts have since been cast by both sides on whether that

potentially historic meeting will take place. Last week Pyongyang threatened to pull out if Washington pressed for its unilateral nuclear disarmament. Trump also said the meeting could be delayed as he met with South Korean leader Moon Jae-in in Washington on Tuesday. “There are certain conditions we want to happen. I think we’ll get those conditions. World faces ‘staggering’ obesity challenge: study

PARIS - In 27 years from now, almost a quarter of the global population will be obese, researchers said Wednesday, warning of the mounting medical bill. If current trends continue, 22 percent of people in the world will be obese by 2045, up from 14 percent last year, according to research presented at the European Congress on Obesity in Vienna. One in eight people, up from one in 11, will have type 2 diabetes -- a form of the disease that generally hits in adulthood as a result of being overweight. “These numbers underline the staggering challenge the world will face in the future in terms of numbers of people who are obese, or have type 2 diabetes, or both,” said researcher Alan Moses of Danish healthcare company Novo Nordisk’s research and development department. “As well as the medical challenges these people will face, the costs to countries’ health systems will be enormous,” he added. In the United States, the researchers found obesity will increase from 39 percent of the population in 2017 to 55 percent in 2045, and diabetes from 14 percent to 18 percent. In Britain, the proportion will swell from 32 percent to 48 percent, with the incidence of diabetes rising from 10.2 percent to 12.6 percent. Already, health systems are spending “huge sums just to treat diabetes,” the researchers said in a statement.

On Thursday in South Korea the supreme court will consider repealing a law where abortion is illegal except for instances of rape, incest and when the mother’s health is at risk. And in Ireland on Friday voters will decide in a referendum on whether to repeal their own law, which outlaws abortion unless there is a real and substantial risk to the mother’s life. Here is a snapshot of the global situation on abortion in countries where the laws are the most restrictive. - Total ban -

Predominantly Catholic Malta is the only European Union country to totally ban abortion, imposing jail terms of between 18 months and three years if the law is broken. Abortion is also banned in Andorra, the Vatican and San Marino, which are in Europe but not the EU. Globally there are total bans in Congo-Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominican Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Honduras, Laos, Madagascar, Mauritania, Nicaragua, Philippines, Palau, Senegal and Suriname. They divided the population of each country into age groups, and further into body mass index (BMI) categories, and looked at trends to make projections. BMI is a ratio of height to weight used to divide people into low- to high-risk categories for developing heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and certain cancers. A person with a BMI of 25 or more is considered overweight, and 30 or higher obese. A healthy BMI ranges from 18.5 to 24.9. The researchers said turning the tide on obesity would require “aggressive and coordinated action”. “Each country is different based on unique genetic, social and environmental conditions which is why there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach that will work,” Moses said. “Individual countries must work on the best strategy for them.” The research results have not yet been published in a scientific journal but were peer reviewed for selection at the congress. A global survey in 2016 said the ratio of obese adults had more than doubled in the 40 years since 1975. Of about five billion adults alive in 2014, 641 million were obese, it found. (afp)

Last September Chile ended its strict ban, which had been in force for decades, when then president Michelle Bachelet signed into law legislation to decriminalise abortion in certain cases, including on health issues. In Brazil a bill is under consideration in congress that would ban access to all abortions, even in cases of rape and for women whose lives are in danger. Unlike the rest of the United Kingdom, abortion is also illegal in the province of Northern Ireland except when the mother’s life is in danger. The British government said in June 2017 it will fund abortions in England for women arriving from Northern Ireland. Other countries also allow abortions only in cases of rape or threat to the mother’s or baby’s health. In EU member Poland, which has one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the bloc, a new bill, which could pass in parliament where conservatives have a majority, would outlaw abortion except in cases where the mother has been raped or is a victim of incest. In the United States abortion was legalised nationwide in 1973, but has been under pressure since Donald Trump became president, with some Republicans seeking restrictions. The US state of Iowa in early May signed into law a ban on abortions once a foetal heartbeat is detected, which occurs as early as six weeks into a pregnancy. BANGLI - The export market of bamboo handicrafts produced by craftsmen at Kayubihi village has changed since the past few years. One of the triggers is the presence of many similar products in the market produced by craftsmen of China. Sluggish exports of bamboo craft products have caused many craftsmen to switch orientation to the local market and even switch professions.

Headman of Kayubihi, Ketut Widiana, when met on Tuesday (May 22) revealed that many bamboo handicraft products are exported to some countries. Some of the products are windchimes, cake container and tray. The export destination countries are Japan, China, France and some European countries. “Craftsmen at our village have started exporting bamboo handicraft products since the 1990s. The number of craftsmen exporting their products at that time is quite a lot,” he said. However, since 2012 the number of craftsmen exporting bamboo handicrafts has decreased due to the sluggish export market. According to Widiana, one of

the causes of sluggish exports is the presence of many competitors of similar products in the market produced by China. “Now, the number of craftsmen exporting craft products is only about eight people. But in the past, there were many,” he explained. Other than export market, the sales of handicraft products in the local market are also recognized to be sluggish. It is caused by unfair price competition between craftsmen and sellers. He explained that among the sellers in the local market such as art markets sell their craft products at low prices, just to make selling. As consequence, it affects the product selling price at the crafters level. On the other hand, the price of raw materials of the handicrafts, other than bamboo, continues to increase significantly. “Unification of the prices is still difficult,” he said. Widiana added that many types of bamboo craft products produced by residents of Kayubihi remains to survive in terms of sales, namely the sokasi (food or oblation basket) handicraft. Astawa added that craftsmen should not mutually compete. Instead, they must synergize to build a network so that at the end they mutually reinforce. American literary giant Philip Roth dead at 85

Prolific novelist Philip Roth, a dominant force in American literature throughout the latter half of the 20th century, has died at the age of 85. Roth’s death on Tuesday, first reported by the New Yorker and The New York Times, was later confirmed by Roth’s literary agent Andrew Wylie. He said the cause was congestive heart failure. Roth won the 1998 Pulitzer Prize for fiction for his acclaimed novel “American Pastoral.” “I’m in a state of shock. I’m stunned and speechless. He was a truth teller,” Roth’s friend Judith Thurman, also a writer, said. A prolific essayist and critic, Roth was best known for mining the Jewish-American experience in his work. The woman, who gave her name only as Delaney, was one of several fans reportedly called on stage to perform Lamar’s 2012 hit “M.A.A.D City” at the Hangout Festival in Alabama on Sunday. But Delaney failed to self-censor and repeated several times the “n-word” from the lyrics to the song. The word, while co-opted by black artists, remains the most derogatory term in the United States to refer to African Americans. Uttering it is a taboo for white people. “Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,” said 30-year-old Lamar, who comes from the historically deprived Los Angeles community of Compton, cutting her off and stopping the music. The fan was initially baffled. “Am I not cool enough for you? What’s up, bro?” Delaney said. “You gotta bleep one single word though,” Lamar replied.

As realization dawned, she apologized, saying, “Oh, I’m sorry. Did I do it?” “Yeah you did it,” Lamar said. He asked the audience whether she should remain on stage. They yelled back no, but Billboard magazine reported that Lamar allowed her to perform the song once again, anyway, this time without the slur.
