Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green split after 11 years together

Gruesome reports are circulating that genetically blessed Hollywood couple Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have decided to separate after eleven years together. The news broke yesterday evening that the beautiful couple have allegedly decided to go their separate ways following a ‘rocky patch’. “Megan has separated from Brian,” an insider revealed exclusively to Us Weekly. “They decided on it six months ago.” The supposedly now former couple have two children - both sons - Noah who is 2 and Bodhi who is just 18 months and are reportedly keen to remain civil for their sakes. “They’re on friendly terms for the sake of their kids,” the source said. “They just want to do their own things.” After meeting on the TV Show Hope & Faith in 2004, the pair were originally engaged back in 2009 however after three years, called it off after Brian commented that Megan was ‘too young’ at just 23. Robin Williams’ kids ask judge to toss wife’s estate claims

SAN FRANCISCO — In the latest court filing in the ongoing battle over Robin Williams’ estate, the late actor’s children say his wife is trying to increase her share of his estate at their expense. Zachary, Zelda and Cody Williams are asking a judge to dismiss a petition filed by Susan Williams. The December 2014 petition asked the court to exclude the contents of the Tiburon home that she shared with Williams from the jewelry, memorabilia and other items Williams said the children should have. The children in their Aug. 14 filing say the estate’s trustees have

determined the division of all of Williams’ personal property, and those decisions are final. They accuse Susan Williams of holding on to property that is theirs. They also say the trustees have arrived at a figure for a reserve fund for Susan Williams to cover the costs of the Tiburon home, but she wants a guaranteed income stream that she is not entitled to. “Petitioner is seeking to increase her share of the trust assets at the expense of the Williams children,” despite the trust’s clear language,” the children say in their filing. “She

cannot do so.” A call to Susan Williams’ attorney was not immediately returned. The two sides are set to appear in court Aug. 28. In court papers filed last month, Susan Williams said the trustees refused to explain how they calculated the amounts for her reserve fund, which were different from figures she arrived at. The trustees also don’t have absolute discretion over her reserve fund, so the court has a role to play in deciding matters, she said. She, however, characterized talks between the parties as “fruitful.” (ap)

Shannen Doherty’s lawsuit reveals actress has breast cancer

LOS ANGELES — Shannen Doherty is battling breast cancer that worsened during a lapse in her health insurance caused by her former business managers, the actress claimed in a lawsuit filed Wednesday. The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star claims that her former business managers and accountants mismanaged her money and allowed her health insurance to lapse last year. Because of that, she said she didn’t go to the doctor until she had insurance and there was a delay in diagnosing her cancer, which will likely require more drastic treatments, including a possible mastectomy and chemotherapy. Doherty, 44, received the diagnosis in March and her doctors have said earlier treatment might have stopped its spread, the lawsuit states. An attorney for the accounting firm Tanner Mainstain Glynn & Johnson denied the company caused Doherty’s health insurance to lapse. “Tanner Mainstain is saddened to learn that Ms. Doherty is suffering from cancer and wishes her a full recovery,” the company’s

attorney, Randall J. Dean, wrote in a statement. “However, the claim that Tanner Mainstain caused her to be uninsured, prevented her from seeking medical care, or somehow contributed to her cancer is patently false. Tanner Mainstain will aggressively defend all of Ms. Doherty’s claims in court.” Doherty’s husband, photographer Kurt Iswarienko, also is suing the firm and its former partner, Steven D. Blatt, accusing them of mismanaging the couple’s money and leading to other financial troubles, including tax audits and liens. A phone message for Blatt was not immediately returned. The lawsuits do not specify how much damages Doherty and Iswarienko are seeking. Doherty has been unable to work since the diagnosis. “The spread of the cancer has caused (Doherty) severe emotional distress,” the lawsuit states. “The relationship between a business manager and its client is based on trust, in honesty and competence,” Doherty’s attorney, Devin McRae, wrote in a statement. “That trust was violated here, and we hope that the defendants will correct it in a responsible manner.” (ap)

DENPASAR - High impact of tourism development on natural ecosystem of Bali must be addressed by policy-oriented environmental protection. Minister of Tourism, Dr. Arief Yahya, as the policymaker in central government, chiefly in tourism field, is obliged to care for Bali. The minister may not only orientate in selling Bali. The target on the increase in tourist visits and investment in managing Bali tourism should be balanced with the commitment to maintain Balinese nature and culture. This opinion was expressed by the Head of the Fishermen Association of Indonesia (HNSI) of Bali Chapter, I Nengah Manumudita, Wednesday (Aug. 19). He criticized the policy of tourism management all this time that tends to sell and exploit Bali. Of the achievement in high profit and high investment, only a small portion can been joyed by Balinese people. Market-based tourism management eventually leads to damage to natural ecosystem in Bali. term the uncontrolled tourism growth will marginalized Balinese human as the buffer of Balinese culture. “Minister of Tourism should re-orient the policies in managing tourism in Bali. It is important to be cultivated so that the management of Bali tourism can benefit all components and provides guarantees for preservation of the integrity and balance of natural ecosystem of Bali. He said that the coastal-based tourism management has truly made tens of thousands of fishermen in Bali displaced. DENPASAR - Rejection against the Benoa Bay reclamation plan keeps on rolling through the third year since the plan was rolled out. As evidence, all the elements of Balinese community coalesced into the members of the Balinese People’s Forum Rejecting Reclamation (ForBALI) came down again the streets, Wednesday (Aug. 19). They departed from the Renon east parking lot and then headed for the Bali ParliamentaryBuilding and the office of the Governor of Bali. ForBALI insists on demanding President Joko Widodo to revoke the Presidential Decree No. 51/2014 as well as askedthe Minister of Environment and Forestry to immediately cancel the environ-

mental impact assessment (Amdal) process because it is ignoring the refusal aspirations of Balinese people. Similarly, the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries is asked to immediately revoke the

location permit having been granted to PT TWBI in the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. In its statement, ForBALI stated that the Ministry of Environment and Forestry continues to impose the

environmental impact assessment process of Benoa Bay reclamation, but even gives an impression if it is accelerated. ForBALI suspected the Amdal process currently still going on in central government also applies the basic principle permit of marine sand mining issued by the regent of East Lombok. Actually, the regent is no longer authorized to issue any permit for marine waters because the licensing authority lies in provincial govern-

ment. In other words, the permit issued by the regent of East Lombok is illegal and violates the law. If the allegation of the ForBALI is true, then the environmental impact assessment process remaining under progress in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry is also illegal and should be stopped. Balinese Temple Ceremony

Every Temple and Shrine has a special date for it annual Ceremony, or “ Odalan “, every 210 days according to Balinese calendar, including the smaller ancestral shrine which each family possesses. Because of this practically every few days a ceremony of festival of some kind takes place in some Village in Bali. There are also times when the entire island celebrated the same Holiday, such as at Galungan, Kuningan, Nyepi day, Saraswati day, Tumpek Landep day, Pagerwesi day, Tumpek Wayang day etc. The dedication or inauguration day of a Temple is considered its birth day and celebration always takes place on the same day if the wuku or 210 day calendar is used. When new moon is used then the celebration always happens on new moon or full moon. The day of course can differ the religious celebration of a temple lasts at least one full day with some temple celebrating for three days while the celebration of Besakih temple, the Mother Temple, is never less than 7 days and most of the time it lasts for 11 days, depending on the importance of the occasion. The celebration is very colorful. The shrine are dressed with pieces of cloths and sometimes with brocade, sailings, decorations of carved wood and sometimes painted with gold and Chinese coins, very beautifully arranged, are hung in the four corners of the shrine. In front of shrine are placed red, white or black umbrellas depending which Gods are worshipped in the shrines. In front of important shrine one sees, besides these umbrellas soars, tridents and other weapons, the “umbul-umbul”, long flags, all these are prerogatives or attributes of Holiness. In front of the Temple gate put up “Penjor”, long bamboo poles, decorated beautifully ornaments of young coconut leaves, rice and other products of the land. Most beautiful to see are the girls in their colorful attire, carrying offerings, arrangements of all kinds fruits and colored cakes, to the Temple. Every visitor admires the grace with which the carry their load on their heads.

China fashion exhibition is New York smash hit

NEW YORK - A New York exhibition exploring Chinese influence on Western fashion has become a summer smash-hit, attracting a record 670,000 visitors in a sign of China’s growing clout in America. Spread across 16 galleries, “China: Through the Looking Glass,” is the most visited show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and has been extended for three weeks. It broke the previous record set by a 2011 show celebrating the late British designer Alexander McQueen, which went on display shortly after his tragic death, the

museum said. By the weekend, more than 670,000 visitors had flocked to the China exhibition, compared to 661,509 for McQueen and has been extended until September 7, the Met announced. “As China’s role politically and economically has grown on the world stage it’s very clear that people want to know more

about the culture out of which that recent success has been spawned,” explained Maxwell Hearn, head of the Met’s Asian art department. The exhibition opened on May 7, and explores the impact of Chinese aesthetics on Western fashion and how China has fueled the fashion imagination for centuries. It juxtaposes some of the

world’s finest haute couture with jewelry and works of Chinese art, focusing on Imperial China, 192040s Shanghai and the People’s Republic of China. Hearn attributes its phenomenal success to a unique creative collaboration between the fashion and Asian art departments. KUTA - State-owned oil and gas company, Pertamina plans to invest approximately US$ 480 million to produce bio-aviation turbine fuel (avtur/jet fuel), as well as build a refinery. “Next year, we will conduct a fit, front-end engineering design study,” the Manager of Technology and Product Development, Directorate of New and Renewable Energy, Pertamina, Andianto Hidayat, revealed on Wednesday. He said the company also intended to build a bio-avtur refinery by 2017. Pertamina is targeting bioaviation fuel production of up to 26 million liters per year and is expected to supply the needs of non-fossil fuels for aircrafts. The fuel, made from palm oil, Hidayat added, is predicted to surpass the target for the national aviation industry, where

bio-aviation fuel use is currently pegged at about 3 percent. Indonesia’s airline industry does not use environmentally friendly fuels. However, Minister of Transport Ignatius Jonan said the national aviation industry was growing at an annual rate of 10 percent. Hidayat said the bio-aviation fuel refinery will be built on-site near the airport, and would supply the raw material. The construction and development of the bio-aviation fuel refinery is expected to support the government’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions from the aviation industry by up to 26 percent by 2020. China clearing blast site, military checking storage TIANJIN — Chinese workers in protective suits began clearing wreckage on Thursday, including charred car bodies and crumpled shipping containers, from the site of a chemical warehouse that exploded last week, killing at least 114. BANGKOK — Thailand’s military junta said Thursday this week’s deadly bombing in downtown Bangkok that killed 20 people was “unlikely” to have been carried out by international terrorists. Police, meanwhile, said they suspected the plot involved at least 10 people.

But when contacted by telephone for clarification, he said that a link to global terrorism hadn’t been ruled out. “We still have to investigate in more detail,” he said. Provincial government forms assistance team on acting regents, mayor

DENPASAR - Bali provincial government has established assistance team to help the five acting regents and mayor that were sworn some time ago. The assistance team consists of three echelon II A or equivalent to department head for each region. Regional Secretary of the Bali Province, Cokorda Ngurah Pemayun, said that the establishment of the assistance team is not based on the instruction of the Minister of the Interior. However, it is allowed by the Law No.23/2014 on Regional Government. “Explicitly, it is not mentioned in the rules and in the Ministry of

Home Affairs it is not mentioned, either, but the governor as representative of central government can take steps known as discretionary. In this case, the governor as the representative of central government is obliged to create something useful for the implementation of good governance,” he said. Establishment of the assistance team, added Pemayun, is meant to prevent any mistakes committed by the appointed officials when performing their duties in the region. Though having passed through competence test, the current political atmosphere is very vulnerable to

Rival Koreas trade artillery, rocket fire at border

SEOUL, South Korea — South Korea fired dozens of shells Thursday at rival North Korea after the North lobbed a single rocket round at a South Korean town near the world’s most heavily armed border, the South’s Defense Ministry said. The Defense Ministry said in a statement that its artillery shells landed at the place where North Korea had fired its rocket. There were no other immediate details from the military and no reports of injuries. It appeared that North Korea did not respond to South Korea’s returned fire. North Korea had previously threatened to attack South Korean loudspeakers that have been broadcasting, for the first time in 11 years, anti-Pyongyang propaganda messages across their shared border. Pyongyang also restarted its own loudspeakers aimed at the South. About 80 residents in the South Korean town where the shell fell, Yeoncheon, were evacuated to underground bunkers, and authorities urged other residents to evacuate, a Yeoncheon official said, requesting anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak to the media. Britain, France boost security to stop migrants from tunnel CALAIS, France — Britain and France are fortifying security around the Channel Tunnel and boosting intelligence efforts against traffickers in an effort to dissuade thousands of migrants from trying to make the illegal — and sometimes deadly — undersea journey to British shores. British Home Secretary Theresa May and French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve are announcing joint policing efforts Thursday as they try to overcome diplomatic tensions around Calais, a flashpoint in a European summer marked by unusually large waves of migrants. Higher fences, surveillance cameras, floodlighting and infrared detection technology are some of the ways they’re trying to deter migrants from the treacherous journey. Since the start of June, at least 10 migrants have died trying to sneak through the Channel Tunnel in hopes of finding prosperity in Britain. Countless others have slipped through undetected on trucks and one recently on foot. Britain and France have accused each other of not doing enough to manage the migrants. An estimated 3,000 migrants are camped in Calais with more arriving daily, drawing intense political attention in Britain. Elsewhere in Europe this year, Germany has seen 360,000 migrants arrive and 160,000 migrants have reached Greek shores. May insisted on the importance of distinguishing between refugees fleeing war and repression and migrants coming illegally to seek better economic prospects. She

stressed the global nature of the current crisis. “This is not just a problem that starts here in Calais. It’s a problem that starts elsewhere in the world with migrants trying to come abroad with organized criminal gangs,” she said Thursday at the tunnel entrance, which she visited with her French counterpart. The two countries are creating a joint police command center run by police from both countries to better coordinate intelligence to disrupt migrant trafficking gangs. The French government has dismantled 120 trafficking networks this year, Cazeneuve said. No cost has been announced for the new measures. There are now about 400 surveillance cameras, 200 French guards and 500 other French security forces surrounding the area near the entrance to the tunnel, according to British officials. Britain has financed four-meterhigh (13-feet) border fences that Eurotunnel spokesman Romain Dufour says have reduced migrant storming considerably. The number of attempted tunnel crossings has dropped to about 150 a night since emergency security measures were put in place, down from a height of about 2,000 in late July, Eurotunnel says. France will also strengthen support for aid groups and local officials helping the most vulnerable migrants, Cazeneuve’s office said. All bodies of Trigana plane crash victims arrive in Jayapura

JAYAPURA - Bodies of the 54 victims of the Trigana plane crash arrived in Jayapura, Papua, on Thursday, after being transported aboard four aircraft from Oksibil since Wednesday. Only four bodies were transported on Wednesday due to the bad weather, and the bodies of 50 others arrived the next day, spokesman of the Jayapura Air Force base Major Juni Kurniawati stated. The relatives of the victims were expected to arrive in Jayapura onboard a Trigana twin otter aircraft, she added. According to Indonesias Ministry of Transportation, the ill-fated ATR aircraft, bearing Flight No. 257, had lost contact on Sunday (Aug

16) at 2:55 p.m. local time, during its flight from Jayapura to Oksibil. The aircraft, with 49 passengers and five crew members, including Pilot Hasanudin and co-pilot Aryadi, was due to arrive in Oksibil at 3:15 p.m. WIT after a 55-minute

BATAM - Indonesian state-owned electronics company Len Industri and Sunseap Enterprises Pte Ltd of Singapore have signed an agreement to establish a joint venture company, named Len Sunseap Energy, in Batamindo Industrial Area, Batam, Riau Islands Province. “This is our effort to support the government in generating electricity through renewable energy sources by tapping into the great potential of solar energy in Indonesia,” Commissioner of Len Energi Arifien Habibie said here Wednesday. Len Industry is a strategic state-owned enterprise engaged in the development of renewable energy, a railway transport system, information and communication systems, defense control and electronics systems, and a navigation system. Meanwhile, Sunseap Enterprises Pte Ltd is one of Singapores solar power generation system providers. The joint venture company, Habibie said, will produce solar power plant modules with a capacity of 50 megawatts (MW) and will be developed to produce 200MW with an investment of $5 million. “The establishment of the joint company is one of Indonesias strategies to increase capacity in the solar energy business and an effort to get into the global market. Such efforts would at the same time increase the competitiveness of the domestic module product in terms of price and certification,” he said. For the initial stage, a total output of 30MW-peak (MWp) will be sold in the global market through Sunseaps distribution network. Meanwhile, the 14MWp will be absorbed by Sunseap and its subsidiaries, and the remaining 6MWp will be absorbed by Len and its subsidiaries. “The targeted markets are public and private solar power plants as well as the Asia-Pacific regional market. This is also the first investment from Singapore in Indonesia following the Indonesian presidents recent visit to Singapore,” Habibie said. According to Habibie, the location of the joint venture company is very important. “Batam is ideal for a business location as it is strategic in terms of transportation lines, facilities, and population,” he said. The joint venture companys management plans to start production by the end of 2015. The company is expected to develop renewable energy sources to generate electricity for the community. The company is also expected to strengthen the position of Len as a company with a business line in renewable energy in Indonesia, as well as open up export opportunities for solar modules within the ASEAN and Asia-Pacific regions. JAKARTA - Australia and Indonesia will co-host a meeting of regional law enforcement and national security agencies to discuss ways of blocking funding for extremists, it was announced Wednesday. Australia’s visiting Justice Minister Michael Keenan announced the meeting after talks with Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla, at which violent radicalism was high on the agenda. The two countries will host the

meeting in Sydney in November, the first gathering of its kind in the region. Keenan said joint efforts to counter extremism began in the aftermath of the 2002 Bali bombings -- which killed 202 people, including 88 Australians -- and were needed more than ever today. “The Indonesian government, like the Australian government, is concerned about the reach of this barbarous terrorist organisation in the Middle East and the methods

they use to radicalise people,” he said, referring to the Islamic State (IS) group. “It’s good for us to be able to share that experience, but also to share strategies for combating it as well.” Hundreds of Indonesians are thought to have joined IS in the Middle East. There are fears that they could revive sophisticated militant networks on their return and launch attacks. Just last week police in Indo-

BEIJING — The drifting smoke from forest fires sometimes makes it difficult for marathoner Heather Lieberg to take a deep breath during her afternoon training runs in the hills of Montana. Even on days when the local advisory lists the air quality as “unhealthy for sensitive groups,” Lieberg is out there chugging away through the hazy and hot conditions. No better way to acclimate her body to what awaits in Beijing for the world championships. “I’ve literally trained when there’s ash falling on me, where they say ‘Do not go outside,’” said Lieberg, a 36year-old from Helena. “My lungs are definitely ready.” Seven years after the Olympics sparked talk of a dramatic cleanup of pollution in Beijing, a milky haze still covers the city on most days and is expected to be there when the marathons take place — Saturday for the men, and Aug. 30 for the women. According to a recent study conducted by physicists at the University of California, Berkeley, 1.6 million people die each year in China from heart, lung and strokerelated problems due to polluted air. The statistic is a reminder that while the Olympics may serve to shed light on a host city’s environmental problems, they don’t necessarily solve them. With the 2022 Winter Olympics set to also take place in Beijing, the environment is likely to stay in the spotlight, in part because of plans to bring tons of artificial snow to the relatively dry mountains outside Bei-

jing. It’s as true for Rio de Janeiro today as it was for Beijing in 2008, Athens in 2004, Sydney in 2000 or almost any other host, all of which have had their problems with air and/ or water, said John Karamichas, author of the 2013 book “The Olympic Games and the Environment.” “All these issues were, in one way or another, addressed for the duration of the games,” Karamichas said. “Environmental legacy will depend on the post-event political processes.” An expert from the World Health Organization, Martin Taylor, said government figures have shown some improvements in Beijing’s air quality since the Olympics left town “but there is still some way to go before (it) meets international safe standards.” Competition conditions for the Olympic athletes have been at the forefront recently with the Rio Games less than a year away. CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Not even a thunderstorm could slow down the United States in the latest chapter of its Women’s World Cup victory tour. Carli Lloyd and Heather O’Reilly each scored twice and the United States beat Costa Rica 7-2 on Wednesday night in an exhibition game that included an 83-minute weather delay. Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan also scored for the U.S. in its second friendly since winning the Women’s World Cup six weeks ago. The Americans beat Costa Rica 8-0 on Sunday in Pittsburgh. “This team is resilient,” O’Reilly said. “We bounce back through games,
