Pippa Middleton’s father-in-law under investigation in France over suspected rape PARIS - The father-in-law of Pippa Middleton, whose sister Kate is married to Britain’s Prince William, has been placed under formal investigation over suspected rape of a minor, a court source told Reuters on Friday. David Matthews, who is the father of Pippa Middleton’s husband James Matthews, was arrested on Tuesday by the Juvenile Protection Brigade (BPM) and formally put under investigation for suspected rape of a minor under his authority, said the source, confirming a report on radio Europe 1. Paris prosecutors arrested Matthews during a visit to France, and later released him and placed him under judicial control, the source said. The source did not say when he was released. French police can hold suspects 24 or 48 hours in such cases.

The source said the alleged rape took place in 1998-99. Europe 1 reported that a complaint was filed in 2017. Reuters could not immediately reach Matthews nor any spokespeople or lawyers for him. Being placed under judicial control means that prosecutors have attached certain conditions to his release or imposed certain limits on who he can meet or where he can go. The source did not say what conditions had been attached in Matthews’ case. Pippa Middleton came to national attention in Britain as the maid of honour at her sister’s royal wedding to William in 2011. Her own lavish wedding to James Matthews last May was one of the most widely reported social events of the year, attended by William and his brother Harry, grandsons of Queen Elizabeth. (rtr)

CALIFORNIA - Actor and former bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger underwent heart surgery to replace a valve that was originally replaced 20 years ago, waking up with the words “I’m back” in a twist on his catchphrase, a spokesman said on Friday.

28m apply for 90,000 jobs at Indian Railways

At least 28 million people have applied for a job with Indian Railways after its latest nationwide recruitment drive. The world’s 10th largest employer is offering 90,000 positions across the country to prospective engine drivers and other workers. An extension to the deadline for applications in the last week has resulted in a surge of applications for the positions worth between £200 and £220 per month. Around nine million are thought to have applied in the last five days as Saturday’s closing date approached. Around 26,000 assistant train driver jobs have been advertised along with nearly 63,000 other posts such as porters or metal workers. Candidates must be between 18 and 31, according to the 57-page application form, must undertake a written or online exam and must prove

their identity to prevent fraud. India is currently facing an employment crisis and getting a job in the huge state-owned firm offers a guaranteed income. Many positions come with family accommodation.India’s rail network - which manages 75,000 miles of track, employs 1.3 million people and carries 8.2 billion passengers a year - is undergoing a massive modernisation programme to bring it up to date. The garbage is pilling up on the beach

MANGUPURA —The Badung Environment and Sanitation Agency (DLHK) has once again become busy with cleaning up marine debris and garbage which has covered the beaches of Badung – as seen on Kuta Beach and Kedonganan Beach on Sunday (Apr 1). Heavy equipment and hundreds of personal were involved in cleaning up these two beaches recently. Head of DLHK Badung, Putu Eka Merthawan, said that there was not as much garbage on the beaches as there had previously been and that

most of the debris was in the from of branches washed ashore by the large waves of the last few days. “Kuta and Kedonganan Beaches were hot by

large waves carrying with them marine debris”, he said. Mertawan added that he could not say how long there would continue to

be such marine debris washing up on shore but that because thi area is an important tourist destination it is important to remain alert to the situation. Heavy equipment and hundreds of officers have therefor being deployed. “A total of 500 officers are ready to make the beaches clean again”, he concluded.

During the last five months of “marine debris season”, DLHK Badung managed to collect a total of 10,500 tons or the equivalent of 2,400 trucks of marine debris (garbage and branches) from the beaches. Marine debris is washed ashore due to the influence of the West monsoon that has been blowing since November 2017. (kmb23)

600 units of subsidized houses remain from 2017

DENPASAR —In 2018, the price of subsidized houses rose 10 percent from IDR 141.7 million to IDR 148.5 million. However, a total of 600 units of subsidized houses built in 2017 with a price of IDR 141.7 million are still left. Secretary of the Bali Chapter of the Indonesia Real Estate (REI), Tino Wijaya, said the latest price according to the circular has been delivered to the implementing banks. “So, our banking colleagues have started applying new prices for subsidized houses in Bali”, he said recently. However, the Ministry of Public Work and Housing is still referring to the price from 2017 for the stock of ready units from 2017. “So, the houses built in 2017 that have not been sold yet will be sold at the old price”, he explained. The new price for 2018 is intended for the units built in 2018.

There are 600 units of houses that were built in 2017 that have yet to be handed over. One of the reasons for this is that the verification process of consumer data by the banks was delayed due to the many recent holidays making it hard to meet for the signing of the sales deeds. “So, some documents that should have been completed in 2017 are still pending and the transactions are taking place in 2018” said Wijaya adding that the 600 units of remaining units are located in Singaraja, Negara and Tabanan. Wijaya also said that he recognized that there is increasing interest from developers because several districts will be developed. Along with West Bali, developers are also targettng eastern Bali in areas like Gianyar, Klungkung and Bangli. He is also still in the process of coordinating with the local government and explained that

There has also been an increase in public interest in 2018 thanks to the widespread information campaign conducted by the Public Works and Housing banking. Many people were not aware of the subsidized housing program. In addition to the national bank of mortgage loans (KPR) dealers, the Bank BPD Bali has now started to finance subsidized mortgage loans in Singaraja. Branch Manager of BTN Denpasar Office, Agung Komang Tri Martha W, explained that in 2017, the program was not fully running yet due to certain obstacles such as the the issuing of certificates. Another obstacle was the issuing of subsidized housing price

changes with various requirements. “Technically, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing has many requirements. For instance, the iron specifications must be set and the building must be ready before credit is granted, so a win-win solution is to continue using the 2017 pattern but the price should not go up”, he said. In 2018, subsidized housing with new prices can be implemented, however the developers need to meet the requirements. The iron specification or example has changed from type 10 to type 8 and before the houses can be handed over, they need to be ready to love in with water and electricity. The houses built in 2017 do not meet the specifications for 2018. “The developers are still finishing up the old stock and these houses will still be sold at eh old process of IDR 141.7 million”, he said. Rocket science: will Inmarsat’s wi-fi in the sky pay off? LONDON - A satellite company wants to bring reliable internet to airline passengers worldwide. But some investors don’t seem to be buying it. Inmarsat’s mission to bring wi-fi to passenger jets did instill great faith in some fund managers. But competition has become fierce as cheap financing funded an explosion of new capacity in the sky, and the worry is the project will not be as lucrative as once hoped. It is also difficult to model the payoff from Inmarsat’s big investments. Broker Berenberg put the firm’s spend in recent years on four of its Global Xpress high-bandwidth global mobile network satellites at about $1.6 billion. Inmarsat, established in 1979 to enable ship-to-shore communication and distress calls, has reduced its dividend to plough money into wi-fi for the world’s airlines. Its shares have slumped some 60 percent in the last two years more than rivals SES and Eutelsat - to their lowest since late 2008. The company promises higher quality broadband internet than its competitors and seamless connectivity, convinced that far more passengers will sign up if they get what they’ve paid for - a connection that stays strong and doesn’t cut out. But sceptics note free wi-fi is now commonplace on the ground - from coffee shops to airports - and consumers could expect the same for in-flight connectivity (IFC) once the novelty wears off. It would not be the first time a communications company spent heavily on infrastructure only to see the promised returns evaporate because of weak pricing power. “They never get off the treadmill of capex,” said Eric Moore, an income fund manager at Miton. Moore looked at Inmarsat lots of times but says he has always been “a bit phobic”. The bullish case for Inmarsat lies in its focus on mobility. When Inmarsat’s equipment aboard a moving plane goes out of range of one of its satellite beams, it quickly finds the next. Some services can struggle to provide a smooth handover. Inmarsat’s Chief Executive Rupert Pearce said on March 9 that the company had about 30 percent of the IFC market, with systems on 1,300 aircraft due to go into service over the next two years. “We have established a strong presence from which to move forward and become the market leader,” he said as the company presented annual results. More than 80 airlines offer in-flight wi-fi, said Routehappy, which provides information on flight amenities, in January. On some aircraft, Turkish Airlines offers free wi-fi to certain customers - those flying in business class, for example. Passengers in economy class pay $9.99 per hour for the service, or $14.99 for a 24-hour package. Emirates offers 20 MB of wi-fi for free. On Norwegian , free wi-fi is available on many flights. Book launch for Jean Couteau’s Myth, Magic and Mystery in Bali This year, Bali was once again rated amongst the very best tourist destinations in the world and even as the top destination by one large online site. To anyone who has visited the Island of the Gods this comes as no surprise as there seems to be no end of things to refresh the spirit, mind and body on this island of a thousand temples. Although there are all manner of tourist facilities from the most luxurious to the most simple and ample beautiful places to visit and interesting things to do, it is not easy to explain just what it is that makes Bali so enjoyable.

NASA intensifying search for planets orbiting stars beyond solar system

CALIFORNIA - The search for worlds circling stars far beyond our solar system will intensify in the coming weeks with NASA’s launch of a spacecraft scientists hope will enlarge the known catalog of so-called exoplanets believed capable of supporting life. NASA plans to send the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, or TESS, into orbit from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket set for blast-off on April 16 on a two-year, $337-million mission. The latest NASA astrophysics endeavor is designed to build on the work of its predecessor, the Kepler space telescope, which discovered the bulk of some 3,500 exoplanets documented during the past 20 years, revolutionizing one of the newest fields in space science. NASA expects TESS to detect thousands more previously unknown worlds, perhaps hundreds of them Earth-sized or “super-Earth”-sized -- no larger than twice as big as our home planet. Such worlds are believed to stand the greatest chance of having rocky surfaces or oceans, and are thus considered the most promising candidates for the evolution of life, as opposed to gas giants similar to Jupiter or Neptune. Astronomers said they hope to end up with about 100 more rocky exoplanets for further study. The new probe will take about 60 days to attain its highly elliptical, first-

of-a-kind orbit that will loop TESS between Earth and the moon every two and a half weeks. Kepler’s positioning system broke down in 2013 about four years after its launch, and though scientists found a way to keep it operational it has nearly run out of fuel. “So it’s perfect timing that we’ll be launching TESS to continue the great activity of looking for planets around stars other than our sun and thinking about what it might mean for life in the universe,” Paul Hertz, NASA’s director of astrophysics, told reporters at a news briefing in Washington on Wednesday. TESS, roughly the size of a refrigerator with solar-panel wings, is equipped with four special cameras to survey 200,000 stars that are relatively near the sun and thus among the brightest in the sky, seeking out those with planets of their own. Like Kepler, TESS will use a detection method called transit photometry, which looks for periodic, repetitive dips in the visible light from stars caused by planets passing, or transiting, in front of them. But unlike Kepler, which fixed its glare on stars within a tiny fraction of the sky, TESS will scan the majority of the heavens for shorter periods and

focus much of its attention on stars called red dwarfs, which are smaller, cooler and longer-lived than our sun. One reason is red dwarfs have a high propensity for Earth-sized, presumably rocky planets, making them potentially fertile ground for closer examination, said David Latham, TESS science director for the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Also because red dwarfs are so small, and their planets orbit more closely than the Earth does to the sun, the dip in light from a planetary transit of a red dwarf is more pronounced compared with a larger star, Latham said. “It’s easier to find interesting planets around smaller stars,” he said. Measuring dips in starlight can determine the exoplanet’s size and orbital path. Further observations from ground telescopes can supply its mass and ultimately the planet’s density and composition -- whether largely solid, liquid or gas. Martin Still, the TESS program scientist for NASA, said more than 50 rocky, Earth- or super-Earth-sized planets have previously been identified, and NASA expects to increase that number through the new mission. Although many visitors may choose to visit Bali simply for the ease of general enjoyment offered by the tourism sector here, the unparalleled popularity of this island as a tourist destination is more likely thanks to what locals refer to as “tasku” - this vibration that touches the heart but which cannot itself be seen. Within the present context of massive commercial development taking place in Bali as a bid to draw even more visitors to this enchanted island, it is perhaps worth exploring what “maintaining the light of life” looks like is practice. Because, apart from the intrinsic value of taksu itself -without this light, it is unlikely that fancy hotels and high tech amusement alone will be able to compete for the interest of tourists. Exploring this unique aspect of Bali is exactly what French writer, art critique and cultural investigator Jean Couteau has been doing for over 30 years. Art is clearly an important aspect of life in Bali as it relates to religious customs and general world view, however it is perhaps less the end product

that attracts tourists and more the reason that so much art is produced here that in fact attracts visitors. It is these unseen aspects of art in Bali that Jean Couteau has been exploring and putting into beautifully strung together words for the last 3 decades. Amongst many other written works, Couteau has been writing a monthly column for Bali Now magazine for the last ten years. PT. Phoenix Communications Publisher Alistari Spiers approached him with the idea of putting together a book of these writings as a way to share some of this valuable insight with a broader readership. Myth Magic and Mystery In Bali is the title of the book that brings together 25 of these articles along with photographs by Ida Bagus Putra Adnyana and paintings by I Ketut Budiana that together provide an invaluable glimpse into “how the light of life” is maintained in Bali and also how it is challenged. During the official book launch of Myth Magic and Mystery in Bali that took place on March 27th at Sudakara Art Space in Sanur, accompanied by an exhibition of photographs and paintings, Alistair Spiers explained that: “Bali Now chose to put together a relatively small book so that many people could have access to insight into fundamental aspects of Bali that may not be accessible to the casual visitor”. Bali Now, he said, generally seeks to portray the

distinct culture of Bali in a way that promotes the unique values of the people of this island as the this is what makes Bali such a popular tourist attraction. After a beautiful Balinese welcome dance performed by some of Sudamala Villa & Suite’s staff, and a short compelling film of a brief reading from Jean Couteau’s new book, the author was invited to the stage to share a few words. With his characteristic passion, charm, wit, insight and clever turns of phrase, Couteau explained that his love and appreciation for this island and it’s people is tainted by a growing fear that something essential could be lost to the digital age. “While communications technology has a lot to offer, by it’s very nature it relies on iconic representation to convey an unfathomable depth and wealth of knowledge and wisdom that can only really be conveyed through direct contact. Although these icons may serve their own purpose, there is the danger of in fact being empty of meaning. I fear that in the next 50 years, much of the knowledge, wisdom, depth and beauty of Balinese culture could be lost. Over the years I have enjoyed countless interactions with all kinds of people from all over the island - from Javanese street vendors to Brahmin families, from educated intellectuals to toiling famers, from great artists to humble artisans and many others besides. It is through

these interactions, that often took place in casual settings like small village cafes or street side benches, that I have come to know some of the myths, magic and mystery that make this island so enchanting. This is my very small way of ensuring that some of this wealth that I have been blessed to encounter is transmitted to others and hopefully serves to inspire further exploration of and appreciation for this fasci-

SINGARAJA - Prolonged uncertainty about the development of the international airport in sub-district of Kubutambahan, has led tourism businesses in the area to request that a finale decision be made on the matter. The ongoing uncertainty has also made some people question whether there are political interests involved in the delay – particularly with regards to the upcoming elections. Chairman of Indonesia Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) of Buleleng, Dewa Ketut Suardipa, said on Sunday (Apr. 1), that developing the potential of tourism in the region requires the support of infrastructure including the airport, which would make it much easier for tourists to visit Buleleng. Suardipa has therefor requested that the central and regional governments provide the public with a definitive answer about the plan immediately. The PHRI does not want discussion of the airport plan to go on indefinitely. Moreover, not not ago central government officials released a statement saying that the airport plan had been cancelled but not long after that another statement emerged saying that the airport would in fact be built and that the ground breaking ceremony was scheduled to take place in August 2018. “We want a definite decision to be made, so that this does not turn into a contentious issue with prolonged uncertainty and hesitation. If the airport is going to be built, we would like to have a final decision announced. We are hoping that the airport will be built as it will certainly help to boost tourism in our region”, he said.

Bali Strait crossing closed for North Bali airport would impact 1.5 hours due to bad weather on tourism in Bangli NEGARA - Bad weather occurred in the Strait of Bali on Sunday afternoon (Apr. 1). Rain and fog caused limited visibility so the Ferry Management Unit (UPP) harbourmaster decided to postpone the crossings between Ketapang and Gilimanuk for 1. 5 hours. As a result, there were long line ups in Gilimanuk Harbour as heavy rains starting around 15:35 were accompanied by fog and darkened skies. A number of ship captains reported limited visibility so the harbourmaster decided to wait for the weather to clear before allowing other ships to make the crossing. NANYUKI - The death of the world’s last male northern white rhinoceros this month led a Kenyan government official to declare anyone caught possessing ivory should be sentenced to life in prison. “Ivory belongs to elephants and rhinos,” said Najib Balala, Kenya’s tourism minister, during a memorial service held at Ol Pejeta Conservancy on Saturday for Sudan, the 45-year-old rhino, who died 11 days ago. Wildlife officials at Ol Pejeta, about 250 kilometres (155 miles) north of Nairobi, put down the

rhino on March 19 because of rapid deterioration in his health. Sudan is survived by the last two females of his species, his 27-year-old daughter Najin and 17year-old granddaughter Fatu. The only hope for preserving their species is through in vitro fertilisation using their eggs and stored semen, according to Ol Pejeta.

Thousand of southern white rhinos still roam sub-Saharan Africa, but decades of rampant poaching have drastically cut the number of northern whites. Poachers could sell northern white rhino horns for $50,000 per kilo, making them more valuable than gold. Kenya had 20,000 rhinos in the 1970s, falling to 400 in the 1990s. It now has 650, almost all of them black rhinos. “We are going to change our laws so that anyone caught with ivory will be jailed for life,” Balala said.

Kenya introduced tough wildlife-protection laws in 2013 in an attempt to stop highly lucrative ivory smuggling, mainly to Asia, which has led to the slaughter of thousands of rare and endangered animals. Those found guilty of ivory trafficking already face a life sentence. But the minimum sentence for possessing it is just five years. After a court sentenced a Kenyan man to 20 years in jail for possessing ivory, the top prosecutor sought for the punishment to be

changed to a life sentenced. The convicted man’s appeal is still in the courts. The Foal Eagle and Key Resolve exercises are usually held every year around March but they were postponed this year until after the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and Paralympics, which started in February and ended last month. North Korea, which has traditionally accused both South Korea and the United States of practising invading the North during joint military drills, has remained quiet on the issue.

In March, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un told a visiting South Korean delegation in Pyongyang that he “understands” the situation regarding the joint drills, according to South Korea’s National Security Office head Chung Eui-yong, who had led the delegation. The joint exercises come roughly a month ahead of an April 27 summit between the two Koreas, their first in more than a decade. BUSINESS Cuba quashes rumors currency unification around corner

HAVANA - Cuba’s central bank on Thursday quashed rumors that it would withdraw one of the Communist-run island’s two currencies from circulation over the weekend, after nervous Cubans had rushed in recent days to exchange their CUCs for pesos. The date for the start of the much-anticipated process of socalled “monetary unification” has not yet been determined, the bank added in a statement published by state-run media. “In the last few days the number of people seeking to change CUCs into pesos at bank offices and CADECAs (exchange bureaus) has risen,” the central bank said. “This is due to the false information that in the next few days the CUC will be withdrawn from circulation.” For more than two decades, two currencies have circulated in Cuba: the peso in which most wages are paid and local goods priced, and the CUC used in the tourism industry, foreign trade and upscale eateries and stores carrying imported goods.

Neither are legal tender outside the country, which exchanges them at different rates depending on the nature of the transaction, complicating accounting, the evaluation of performance and trade for state companies. Plans adopted by the Communist Party in 2011 under Raul Castro’s leadership to improve the performance of the ailing Sovietstyle economy by introducing market mechanisms included currency unification. The peso, it said, would remain and the CUC would become history. However, it did not give a timeframe for the transition. Castro said in December last year the reform could no longer be delayed, sparking speculation it might be announced before he was due to step down as president on April 19. Castro will remain party chief until 2021. The central bank on Thursday recalled the party’s decision at its last congress to guarantee bank deposits in accounts in foreign currencies, CUCs and pesos. (rtr)

Syrian army command says it has regained most of eastern Ghouta

AMMAN - The Syrian army command said on Saturday it had regained most of the towns and villages in eastern Ghouta and was pressing its military operations in the last rebel bastion of Douma. In a televised statement, the Syrian army spokesman said the weeks-long military campaign had now brought security to the Syrian capital, Damascus, and also secured its main links to other parts of the country, stretching north and all the way to the Iraqi border to the east. A last group of fighters and families had earlier left the main towns of Jobar, Zamalka, Arbeen and Ain Tarma after the fall of other towns, leaving only the city of Douma still in rebel hands. Footage on state television showed top army commanders entering by the same route the rebel convoys had used to leave. Tens of thousands of people have now evacuated once-bustling towns in the suburbs east of the capital, which had nearly 2 million people before the start of the conflict and were major commercial and industrial hubs. The army command said military operations were continuing in the outskirts of the city of Douma, controlled by the Jaish al-Islam rebel group, the last patch of eastern Ghouta still held by insurgents. Douma’s fall would seal the rebels’ worst defeat since 2016, driving them from their last big stronghold near the capital, and would also carry potent symbolism. The town was the main centre of street protests in the Damascus suburbs against President Bashar al-Assad’s rule that ignited the conflict seven years ago. The army said hundreds of rebels had been killed in the ferocious offensive. The opposition says a relentless air campaign was waged in which the army used napalm, chlorine and incendiary bombs to demoralize rebels by targeting civilian areas. The rebels say the indiscriminate bombing forced them to capitulate and agree to surrender deals that force them either to make peace or leave to rebel-held areas after weeks of bombing and sieges that prevented food from reaching the enclaves. The Syrian army has repeatedly said regaining control over rebel-held suburbs would stop rocket attacks on the capital. They deny that many civilians were killed in bombardments that rescuers and residents say reduced whole neighbourhoods to rubble in densely populated areas where at least 350,000 people lived. Defence analysts say a major goal of the campaign was to complete a security belt around the capital, where for years rebels dug into an elaborate network of tunnels and well- fortified positions had resisted countless offensives to seize the enclave. President Assad said recently securing eastern Ghouta, which was the soft belly of the heavily defended capital, had foiled plots by his foreign enemies to topple him. “The gains have been achieved after units of the army eliminated hundreds of terrorists, their headquarter and their fortifications,” the army statement said. Douma is surrounded by government forces, many of whom were elite forces from the Republican Guards and special army units, who have been amassing troops in recent days and threatening to storm the city if the rebels do not agree to leave. AMLAPURA - Odyssey is a touring submarine, operated by Submarine Safaris Asia, Ltd. which takes passengers to see and admire the underwater realm of Amuk Bay, near Candidasa. The battery-powered submarine carries up to 36 passengers in its single air-conditioned compartment. BEIJING - North Korea will take part in the next two Olympic Games in Japan and China, International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach said on Saturday after meeting North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang. LONDON - Dele Alli answered his critics in timely and emphatic fashion with two second-half goals as Tottenham Hotspur won 3-1 at Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has come under scrutiny this season for a string of diving accusations while his form has dipped below that of the last campaign when he scored 22 goals for Tottenham in all competitions. He failed to start either of England’s friendlies against the Netherlands and Italy during the international break but in his 100th Premier League game for Tottenham, he showed exactly what makes him so dangerous. Christian Eriksen’s piledriver had cancelled out Alvaro Morata’s opener for Chelsea before Alli, who was quiet in the first half when he was mocked by the home fans, took centre stage in deadly fashion. In the 62nd minute he showed impeccable timing to beat Chelsea’s offside trap and take down England team mate Eric Dier’s high through ball with one delicate touch before firing past Willy Caballero with his second. Four minutes later he showed quick feet to fire home from close range after a goalmouth scramble, sealing his side’s first win at Stamford Bridge for 28 years. MILAN - Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri will have to reshuffle his side again for Real Madrid’s visit on Tuesday, yet it is all water off a duck’s back for one of Europe’s master tacticians. In just under four seasons at Juve, Allegri, who will be unable to call on suspended defender Medhi Benatia and midfielder Miralem Pjanic, has shown himself to have an uncanny knack of switching formations between and often during matches. Juventus, who host Real in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, have won three successive Italian league and cup doubles and reached two Champions League finals under Allegri’s pragmatic leadership. During that period, Allegri has repeatedly and successfully managed to rebuild his side after the departures of key players such as Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal, Carlos Tevez, Paul Pogba and Leonardo Bonucci. Bonucci’s departure at the end of last season meant the breakup of the formidable BBC defence, which also featured Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli.
