They kept moving from one place to another until they met Gusti Sukra, the Head of the Youth Organization of Timpag. Since then, Desak Raga continue to fight in the field of education and one of them by establishing SLUB which will become Sarawasti School. In his life, Desak Raka joined many organizations.

Dormant, headquarters museum of Ngurah Rai almost collapses Tabanan (Bali Post)—

Commitment of Tabanan Regency to historical heritage is worth questioning. As evidence, the headquarters museum of Gusti Ngurah Rai at Munduk Malang, Dalang village, East Selemadeg, is in very poor condition. The roof has broken and almost collapses, even the door has been fragile and the key has vanished. Condition of the floor is also unkempt and filled with dust. More ironically, the photos of Gusti Ngurah Rai and his troops were left rusty. Meanwhile, the miniature of Ngurah Rai sculpture and his men look disheveled and dusty. Damages to the General Headquarters (MBO) monument of the People’s Struggle Council of the RI Lesser Sunda have long taken place. However, it has never been touched by a single improvement project. “This museum has started to badly damage since the past five years, where many roofs have fallen because of rain,” said Ida Bagus Putu Madya, 63, a resident who lives next to the museum, Wednesday (Nov 28). More sadly, its wall also

It was revealed by a member of Commission D of the Karangasem House, Iluh Purnaminingsih, Wednesday (Nov 28). She said to receive many complaints from families accompanying patients to Karangasem Hospital because they did not obtain complete services. “Many patients complained because they could not get X-ray service,” said Purnaminingsih. The fuel would be further distributed by 67 tank trucks of Pertamina to 180 gas stations across Bali. “In Bali, the condition is conducive enough and no scarcity happens as in other regions. WASHINGTON — “Bo-flakes” featuring the first dog and ornaments fashioned from zippers are among the new twists on traditional favorites at the White House this Christmas season. First lady Michelle Obama unveiled this year’s decorations before an appreciative crowd of military families Wednesday, then spent some time doing holiday crafts with military kids. The theme for this year’s decorations is “Joy to All,” but first dog Bo seems to steals the show. There are 40 “Bo-flake” ornaments throughout the White House that feature cutout images of the dog. There’s a life-size replica of the dog, with a string of lights in his mouth, in the East Garden Room. And there’s an outsized statue of the Portuguese water dog next to the 300-pound (136kilogram) gingerbread house in the State Dining Room. Mrs. Obama said that reflects Bo’s high standing at the White House. “He’s almost as big as the house,” she declared. “He is such a huge personality.” Visitors also will get a Bo bookmark that sends them on a scavenger hunt for “Bo-ornaments” stashed in eight rooms. Bo himself made an appearance during Wednesday’s festivities, sporting a jingle bell collar, and was quickly swarmed by young guests. The shed of boiled fish processing at Kusamba village, Dawan, makes the potential of local fisheries still survive. However, the shed begins to give forth serious environmental impact. Its waste is discharged into the sea so that it often triggers a protest from fishermen. Local fishermen hope the waste of fish boiling can be channeled into septic tank so as not to contaminate the environment. Previously, the waste had been complained by one of the local fisherman group leaders, I Wayan Suartika. He once conveyed the impact of the waste on the fishermen’s catches at Kusamba. At that time, Suartika alleged the waste caused the decline in the catch of local fishermen. The waste was considered to contaminate the sea so that no fish were stuck in the fishing nets when going to sea. As field observation of Bali Post on Wednesday (Nov 28), the waste of fish boiling was indeed flowed into the sea. One of the Kusamba residents who boiled fish at the location, Dewa Ayu Rai, admitted it. Every single processing, she could produce 400 baskets containing ten fish. The fish that had passed through boiling process was sold at higher price. “A fish bought from fisherman at IDR 1,300 was sold for IDR 15,000 to IDR 25,000 per basket containing ten fish. Intensity of people’s activity in the fish boiling shed was high enough. A shed officer, AA Gede Ngurah Berata, confessed last Wednesday there were 78 boiled fish makers dominated by the spouses of fishermen. Of that number, 50 people were categorized into large boiled fish maker (yielding over ten baskets) and the remaining was classified into medium and small ones. Within a day, they could work for 12 hours depending on the fish supply. The fish boiling shed is now only relying on the fish supply from Karangasem because Kusamba fishermen have long suffered a famine. As consequence, many Kusamba fishermen are now looking for another job. The boiled fish makers are charged a levy of IDR 300 per basket of fish and cleaning up service at IDR 7,000 per month. WASHINGTON - The U.S. government banned BP Plc on Wednesday from new federal contracts over its “lack of business integrity” in the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, possibly imperiling the company’s role as a top U.S. offshore oil and gas producer and the No. 1 military fuel supplier. The suspension, announced by the Environmental Protection Agency, comes on the heels of BP’s November 15 agreement with the U.S. government to plead guilty to criminal misconduct in the Gulf of Mexico disaster, the worst offshore oil spill in U.S. history. The British energy giant agreed to pay $4.5 billion in penalties, including a record $1.256 billion criminal fine. BP and its affiliates are barred from new federal contracts until they demonstrate they can meet federal business standards, the EPA said. The suspension is “standard practice” and BP’s existing U.S. government contracts are not affected, it said. The EPA acted hours before a government auction of offshore tracts in the Gulf of Mexico, a region where BP is the largest investor and lease-holder of deep-water tracts and hopes for further growth. BP is also the top fuel supplier to the U.S. military, the largest single buyer of oil in

the world. Suspension of contracts could give the government leverage to pressure BP to settle federal and state civil litigation that could top $20 billion if a court finds BP was grossly negligent in the Deepwater Horizon disaster. An EPA official said government-wide suspensions generally do not exceed 18 months, but can continue longer if there are ongoing legal cases. In a statement, BP said it has been in “regular dialogue” with the EPA, and that the agency has informed BP that it is preparing an agreement that “would effectively resolve and lift this temporary suspension.” The EPA has notified BP that the draft agreement will be available soon, BP said. Durant nets 37 as Thunder spoil Harden’s return Reuters

Kevin Durant greeted former team mate James Harden with 37 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder blasted Houston Rockets 120-98 on Wednesday to spoil the shooting guard’s return to the Chesapeake Energy Arena. With their struggling team second from bottom in Denmark’s Superligaen, Brondby fans stormed the pitch following a 1-0 victory after extra time against their bitter city rivals. “The sad epilogue to the game is that we see thousands of Brondby fans running onto the pitch,” police inspector Michael Kristiansen, adding the fans were arrested for disorder and breaches of firework regulations. “The object was clearly to get into a confrontation with FC Copenhagen fans,” Kristiansen said.
