P R O P E L I N S U R A N C E I S P R O U D T O S U P P O R T
On behalf of the Board of Directors of America’s Automotive Trust, I am delighted to welcome you to our 13th annual Wheels & Heels Gala at LeMay – America’s Car Museum. Tonight is a celebration of the Trust, which has become nationally recognized for its efforts to promote America’s automotive heritage.
AAT and its member organizations LeMay – America’s Car Museum and the RPM Foundation is ensuring that the automobiles of our past will be preserved for public enjoyment; that enthusiasts will continue to enjoy the driven car; and that young people are provided educational opportunities for meaningful careers in automotive restoration and preservation. Our mission has always embraced others who seek collaboration rather than competition. I’m proud of our formal affiliations with the Pebble Beach and Hilton Head Concours d’ Elegance, the Detroit Auto Show, The NB Center for American Automotive Heritage, The Great Race, Motorcar Cavalcade, and collaborations with other institutions across the country.
While we celebrate, we’re mindful that there is so much more that we can accomplish given adequate resources. Each year the generosity of our Wheels & Heels sponsors and donors has made a significant contribution to our success. We ask that you generously support this year’s Gala and hope that in doing so you have an enjoyable and memorable evening.
We give our sincere thanks to our title sponsor Pacific Portfolio, Presenting Sponsor State Farm, and all our sponsors. And, of course, enjoy our signature gala fireworks brought to us by Ed and Carmen Brooks and Larry and Ritchie Hood!!
Join the movement.

Wayne Cherry is a renowned automotive designer whose 42-year career at General Motors left an indelible mark on the global auto industry. A 1962 graduate of Art Center College of Design, Cherry began his career as a junior designer under Bill Mitchell, contributing to iconic vehicles like the 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado and 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. In 1965, he relocated to GM’s Vauxhall division in the UK, later moving to Opel in Germany, where he led European design and helped develop groundbreaking, aerodynamically advanced vehicles like the Opel Calibra and Corsa B.
In 1992, Cherry was named GM’s Vice President of Design – the fourth person to hold the role since Harley Earl. He spearheaded a design renaissance by integrating digital technology, establishing global advanced design studios, and championing a bold new design language, particularly for Cadillac’s “Art & Science” era. Under his leadership, GM created memorable concept and production vehicles including the Cadillac Evoq, Chevrolet SSR, and Pontiac Solstice.
Cherry received the 2013 Eyes On Design Lifetime Design Achievement Award and continued designing post-retirement, including the VSR Sports Rod. Known for his emphasis on proportion, brand identity, and innovation, Cherry’s legacy is defined by creativity, global influence, and a deep passion for automotive design.
Ralph Gilles was appointed Chief Design Officer of Stellantis in January 2021, where he leads the design direction and strategy for several of the company’s most iconic global brands, including Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Maserati, and FIAT in Latin America. A key member of Stellantis’ Top Executive Team, Gilles plays a vital role in shaping the future of mobility and automotive aesthetics through bold, innovative, and emotionally resonant design.
Gilles began his career with the company in 1992 as a designer and quickly rose through the ranks, thanks to his talent, leadership, and forward-thinking approach. Over the years, he has held numerous executive positions across the organization, contributing significantly to the development of award-winning vehicles that have redefined performance and design in the industry. He holds a degree in industrial design from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and an MBA from Michigan State University.
Beyond the studio, Gilles is a passionate car enthusiast who actively participates in motorsports and track events. His deep personal connection to driving and automotive culture continually fuels his creative vision and commitment to pushing design boundaries. His influence is widely recognized across the automotive world as both impactful and enduring.
We believe in the power of collaboration to make a lasting impact.
That’s why Columbia Bank is proud to support an organization that brings people and resources together to protect our country’s heritage and inspire future generations.
We’re honored to sponsor the annual Wheels & Heels Gala, an evening celebrating more than cars. It’s a celebration of community, craftsmanship and American car culture — and a reflection of the good we can accomplish when people and passion rally together for a cause.

Prior to returning to LaVine Restorations, Travis attended Michigan State University College of Law, graduating Summa Cum Laude, before working in International Tax Planning at Ernst & Young in Chicago. Throughout American history, the automobile has been a driving force in our culture, connecting us to one another and for most, providing that first taste of freedom that opened the doors – and the world – to endless possibilities. Many of you may remember your sitting in the back seat during your family road trips growing up, or cruising down the main road in the town you grew up in. With life becoming faster pace and more dependent on technology as each day goes by, it’s important to remember these traditions and the way the automobile has impacted our lives not only to be recognized as part of our history, but of preserve it for future generations to experience too. Knowing that others around the world believe in this same idea, America’s Automotive Trust was established in 2016 with the purpose of bringing like-minded organizations to together to work towards a common goal of preserving car culture for the future.
AAT founding member organizations include LeMay – America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington an internationally recognized destination where visitors and members from around the world can experience stunning collections and rotating exhibits of cars and automotive memorabilia as works of art, and where individuals and families can find a wide variety of related fun and educational experiences, and the national RPM Foundation, which is dedicated to driving the future by awarding scholarships, internships, and apprenticeships to youth seeking education in historic automotive preservation and restoration. Donor contributions are vital to help fund these grant opportunities to ensure the critical skills necessary to preserve and restore vintage collector vehicles are not lost.
AAT’s premier membership programs include Club Auto and Concours Club, which grant access to exclusive drives and special events. Cars are meant to be driven! These premium memberships focus on why we love cars by providing camaraderie around driving experiences and feature international travel, annual Summits to shape future of the organization and its outreach, and other activities designed to secure America’s automotive heritage. Established members at the Concours Club level are recognized permanently as leaders of the AAT’s philanthropic support.
All of the entities in America’s Automotive Trust, as well as our affiliated partners, work together to foster a strong community where any car enthusiast can thrive – from the classroom, to careers, to the open road. We believe in not only preserving the passion for cars but fueling the drive. That’s why America’s Automotive Trust exists. We invite you to drive with us and support our cause today.

Enjoy an evening of outstanding wine paired with exquisite food at Lark. This chef’s tasting menu for five couples will show case the work of two men who are masters in their fields.
John Sundstrom is a James Beard Award-winning Chef who is known for his intimate knowledge and deft use of the Northwest’s unique ingredients. Lark has been a mainstay of Seattle’s restaurant scene and the Capital Hill Neighborhood for over 20 years.
Chef John will design each course around carefully aged Cayuse wines that have been cellared since release.
Cayuse Vineyards was founded by French vintner Christophe Baron with its first planting in 1997. Cayuse was a pioneer of the area now known as the Rocks District and the first winery in the Walla Walla Valley to fully implement biodynamic farming. Since then Cayuse wines have gained critical acclaim as some of the best in the new world with a waitlist in the thousands. The wines are highly rated and difficult to obtain and this package will allow you to enjoy them at their peak with food created by Christophe’s favorite Seattle chef whose understanding of the wines comes from catering Cayuse openings for years.
