End-of-life doulas provide personalized, compassionate support to individuals, families, and their circles of care as they encounter and navigate death, loss, and mortality. An end-of-life doula imparts psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and practical care to empower dignity throughout the dying process.

Learn the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA) doula approach and the principles of honoring the autonomy of the dying person and the dying process.

Food and medicine grow freely all around us. This is your opportunity to learn how to identify, harvest, and enjoy this abundance!

We explore Omega’s campus with plant walks, learning 30+ edible and medicinal plants, and participating in hands-on workshops covering harvesting, processing, and preservation. You learn how to avoid toxic “lookalikes,” timing the harvest, and foraging ethics, including sustainability and safe urban foraging.

Robin shares his deep relationship with our plant relatives, drawing from his experience of foraging all of his food for a full year. Tips for drying, freezing, canning, and storage help you step confidently into a more Earth-connected lifestyle.

Adult Workshops: Adult workshops meet Monday through Wednesday from 9:30 a.m.-noon and 2:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. On Thursday afternoons, adults can take time off to relax, visit Omega's Wellness Center, or enjoy informal classes led by workshop teachers and special guests. In the evening, everyone gathers for family entertainment.

Kids and Teens Camps: Kids meet every morning from 9:00 a.m.-noon and afternoons from 2:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Omega has a 10:00 p.m. noise curfew and all children and teens are expected to be with their families after 11:00 p.m. Regis t ration: Camps fill quickly; register early. If you don't have children, you may still participate in Family Week, but be advised that services and schedules are geared for children and families.

Enneagram Gateways to Awareness & Self-Transformation

RUSS HUDSON Tuition $595 ($535 Members)

The nine Enneagram personality types are based on the three primary centers of intelligence: thinking, emotion, and instinct. Distortions or blockages in these centers lead to a loss of connection with our essential nature. Gaining a clear understanding of personality patterns and egoic distortions helps us open to a deeper reality of spirit.

We learn to recognize the ways in which all nine Enneagram types play out in our own personalities and gain psychological insight into their inner workings. Conversational instruction is combined with group meditations, small-group work, seated physical movements, and music in order to fully integrate the richness of the Enneagram material into our daily work and relationships.

This workshop meets for three additional hours on Thursday afternoon.

Join Pilin Anice for a breath-centered, rhythmic yoga practice that flows in sequences to stretch and strengthen the body, reduce stress, and activate joy.

In addition to movement meditation, Pilin guides you to soothe your nervous system with pranayama, Ayurveda, and restorative practices that encourage self-inquiry, body awareness, and mindfulness. With live drumming and music, the class becomes a moving meditation, a dance party, and an inner journey all rolled into one healing experience.

Making Faerie Houses

Faerie Houses, Ancestral Masks & Nature Crowns

MELISSA HEWITT AND MIRABAI TRENT Tuition $420 ($375 Members)

In this playful and soulful workshop, we create faerie houses—enchanting homes for the invisible dwellers of the forest—using natural materials and imaginative techniques. We also craft ancestral masks and nature crowns that explore and honor the cycles of life, death, and renewal.

We spend time in the woods and fields, gathering treasures to add to our creations, opening the senses, journaling, and connecting deeply with nature, imagination, and community, all leading to a faerie-inspired procession that adds to the magic of Family Week.

Return home with a faerie house and other creations, renewed inspiration, and a deeper connection to nature and self.

Melissa Hewitt and Mirabai Trent are local New York artists and cofounders of Circle Creative Collective, bringing decades of experience in traditional craft, ritual, storytelling, and community building.

Through techniques drawn from oral storytelling, memoir writing, and performance tools—including body and voice work, breath awareness, and improvisational theater games—participants identify meaningful personal experiences, uncover the very richest parts of the story, and then shape, tell, and ultimately perform it with authenticity and confidence at a story-sharing event.

All are welcome: beginners, seasoned writers, performers, and anyone curious about the transformative power of story.

Christina Thyssen and Caitlin Langstaff are cofounders of On the Fly Story Slam, writers, story coaches, and teachers with extensive experience in acting and directing.

Little Light Play Camp

JANICE ZITO Tuition $210 LE

Let your child’s imagination soar in Little Light Play Camp as they join in creative expression, play, and mindfulness. This camp, for children ages 3 through 5 (must be potty trained), is led by Janice Zito. The program is focused on joyful play, nature exploration, musical expression, creative arts, and childcentered mindfulness.

Janice Zito is a Montessori elementary school teacher and a health and fitness instructor.

Little Forest People

KESSE HUMPHREYS AND THE RANGER STAFF Tuition $295 LE

The woods surrounding Omega are filled with magical groves, fun, fantasy, and little newts. The Rangers are looking for campers to help create woodland structures and fairy houses, and drum, sing, climb fallen trees, and cook up a hearty batch of bread-on-a-stick and s’mores. Half the program is spent in the Omega woods; the other half is spent boating, spotting painted turtles, and exploring the natural (and supernatural) wonders of Omega’s Long Pond Lake.

The Ranger Staff, including Kesse Humphreys, artist and educator, is a team with extensive experience running youth programs that nurture and challenge children in safe environments.

Sports of All Sorts

ELLEN RILEY AND KINO CALDERON Tuition $350

This multisport camp—for boys and girls of all skill levels—is led by veteran Family Week coaches Ellen and Kino. Many sports and games are played, including basketball, flag football, kickball, and Wiffle ball. The emphasis is on fun, skills, fitness, injury prevention, teamwork, and mental focus. Campers enjoy stories from the big leagues, music, prizes, friendly competition, and opportunities to dive deeper into particular games and sports in breakout sessions. $20 materials fee; include when you register.

Ellen Riley is a veteran of the Omega basketball camp for grownups, taught by NBA coach Phil Jackson and CBA coach Charley Rosen. Kino Calderon is a certified personal trainer who specializes in strength and conditioning, and has coached and refereed youth sports for 10+ years.

Sports of All Sorts Junior Coaching

The Junior Coaching program provides a unique opportunity for motivated 13- and 14-year-olds to step into a leadership role while staying actively engaged in the sports they love. Limited spots are available for young leaders who are ready to learn the fundamentals of coaching, teamwork, and mentorship from a new perspective. This program is designed to:

• Mentor and inspire young athletes through hands-on coaching experiences

• Build confidence in leadership roles both on and off the field

• Develop valuable life skills such as communication, responsibility, and problem-solving

Stop-Motion Animation Stories Create Your Own Adventure Movie

LAURA BELLMONT Tuition $360 LE

Join Laura Bellmont for a week of hands-on, stop-motion animation and art-making fun.

Students in this integrated tech-and-art workshop imagine unique adventure stories and bring them to life using the filmmaking technique of stop-motion animation.

Working in small groups, young filmmakers learn to use the professional-grade software

Dragonframe and film their work using DSLR cameras and Mac laptops. Together, we record voiceovers, do Foley work (sound effect recording), and even animate the students themselves during a pixilation exercise.

Finished films are edited together for a screening for the Omega community.

Participants receive a link to the film, which may be used to view, post, and share with friends and family.

The Wayfinder Experience A Role-Playing Adventure for Teens

JOSHUA SMITH AND WAYFINDER STAFF Tuition $375 LE

The Wayfinder Experience is a live-action role-playing camp that combines improvisational theater, athletics, and play to give teens a safe environment to build community. Activities include theater games, capture the flag, and “play-safe” swordplay, all building toward the centerpiece of the week: the Adventure Game, an immersive adventure similar to popular fantasy books and movies, played out on the Omega campus over two days. Donning costumes and equipped with foam weapons, campers play characters whose choices determine how the story plays out.

Through playing different roles and forging supportive relationships, participants are given a chance to try on new parts of themselves, developing confidence and self-esteem that last far beyond the workshop’s end.

Joshua Smith is a social worker who specializes in using rap, R&B, and pop music to help teens reflect on their experiences and gain insight into their emotions.

The Wayfinder Experience Apprenticeship Academy

REBECCA BOWE-KINGSTON Tuition $375 ($335 Members)

The WFE Apprenticeship Academy is an opportunity for young adults to step up into leadership. Apprentices learn teaching skills and serve supportive roles in workshop facilitation and the creation of the Adventure Game, culminating in a training certificate of completion.

The program is held in tandem with the camp and is for anyone who has ever considered teaching, working with young people, or simply loves the Wayfinder Experience.

Rebecca Bowe-Kingston, DSW, LCSW, is a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and adjunct professor who has been a theater teacher for the Wayfinder Experience for more than a decade.

Laura Bellmont, author of Animation Lab for Kids and founder of The Little Animation Studio, is an illustrator and certified educator.
