The aim this year is to share a wide range of partnerships, benefits and perks to give EO members more value, variety and make it a Wow Experience.
Top Tip: Open up the ‘Wow Deals Deck’ on a regular basis as it is continuously updated with the latest partnerships and benefits. If you have any leads and ideas for partnerships, do reach out! strategic@eokenya.org

186 issues. 3+ years and counting. Zero missed weeks.
That’s what marketing excellence looks like when it’s done properly.
We’ve helped EO Kenya keep the attention of 100+ busy CEOs week after week, while covering the stories of 60+ EO events, from intimate forums to big end-of-year celebrations, without missing a beat. We’ve supported continuity across 3 different boards, with one partner built for the long haul. This is what we do for businesses too. If you’re tired of inconsistent marketing, “random posts” with no results, agencies that disappear, or doing nothing because the marketing mess feels worse than silence
Let’s fix it.
We work with EO chapters across the world (from Toronto to Puerto Rico) with the same standards, and we bring that same discipline to your brand: strategy, content, campaigns, and reporting owned end-to-end.
(Yes, free. No pressure. Just clarity.)

Looking back at play highlights How to sell your business - Maitri Capital
Here’s a message from Our Learning Chair
Bringing capital into your business can mean the difference between maintaining control and feeling like an employee. Valuation isn’t the only thing that matters; do you have liquidity control, boardroom rights, and access to information? Without these, you risk losing your identity in the process. Are you ready for that?
Neha and Poonam, two very successful sisters, shared an eye-opening list of considerations when bringing in capital, whether through debt or equity. Structure sets you free, but if you get it wrong during negotiations, the deal can quickly turn sour. There were valuable insights not just for those raising funds, but also for family businesses, where similar considerations apply when setting up governance.
It was a great morning connecting with fellow members over breakfast and coffee.
Our next follow-up event will be in May, in partnership with the African Family Business Institute, focusing on family governance. The tentative date is May 13th, to be confirmed. Enjoy the holidays!

With James Savage
Hope you’re enjoying the Friday Shot and some of the new touches I’ve brought in over the past few months. I’ve really enjoyed putting a spotlight on our tenured members, their stories are a great reminder of the depth and value within EO. I also hope it’s opened your eyes to the global opportunities out there and just how much more EO has to offer beyond our chapter.
If you’ve got ideas, stories, or anything you’d like to see featured, please do share. This works best when it reflects all of us.
I’ve got about 14 Friday Shots left before I hand over, so we’ll keep the momentum going.

This week, we’re introducing four new members who’ve joined us this year, with another five in the pipeline, so more to come. If you see any of them at upcoming events, do take a moment to give them a proper EO welcome.
Next Friday is Easter Friday, so there won’t be a Friday Shot. Wishing you all a great Easter break and some well-earned time to recharge.
Regards,
James
Meet Ashish Sennik
Ashish Sennik (Ashu) is a Nairobi-born entrepreneur and industrial leader with decades of experience across engineering, manufacturing, and industrial solutions in East Africa. After completing his early education at St. Austin’s and further studies in Canada, he returned to Kenya to join Desbro Kenya Limited, his family’s enterprise and one of the region’s largest chemical trading companies.
In 1997, driven by a strong entrepreneurial vision, he founded Desbro Engineering Limited, a specialist in stainless steel fabrication and bespoke engineering solutions serving the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, hospitality, and manufacturing sectors, earning a reputation for precision and dependable project delivery.
In 2011, Ashish established Afri Piping Systems Kenya Limited to address the growing demand for advanced industrial fluid handling solutions. The company delivers high-performance HDPE piping systems, industrial flow

solutions, and turnkey installations, and is now a trusted partner to infrastructure developers, utilities, contractors, and major industrial clients across East Africa. Ashish continues to provide strategic leadership to both Desbro Engineering and Afri Piping Systems, guiding their growth and commitment to quality.
Outside of work, Ashish is an avid sportsman, competitive shooter, and Mason, and maintains an active lifestyle through regular gym training and padel.
Muzzamil Mir’s entrepreneurial journey began with the founding of Executive Rentals, a company established to provide reliable and professional transport services. This venture served as a launchpad for his expansion into multiple industries, laying the groundwork for a diverse and impactful career.
Today, Muzzamil operates a Hertz Car Hire franchise in Kenya and serves as the CEO of Redline Auto and Tire Center Nanyuki, where he leads strategic operations and represents Isuzu Kenya in the region. In addition to his work in the mobility and automotive sectors, he is a shareholder and board member at Morgan Forex Bureau, contributing to the company’s strategic direction and long-term growth.
His professional experience spans automotive services, mobility solutions, and financial services, supported by a strong

network of cross-industry partnerships. Known for his collaborative spirit, Muzzamil enjoys connecting with people, exchanging ideas, and identifying opportunities for mutual growth.
Outside of business, he is passionate about travel and sports, and takes great pride in his family—particularly his two children, one a lawyer and the other a doctor.
As the Director at Glory Paints, Sukhwinder Singh Panesar is the driving force behind the company’s operational excellence. By bridging the gap between the technical precision of Research & Development and the strategic demands of Sales, he ensures that innovation is not just created in the lab but successfully delivered to the market.
Sukhwinder’s leadership style is defined by a rare blend of flexibility and decisive problem-solving. In an industry that requires constant adaptation, his ability to communicate complex visions into actionable growth has been pivotal in scaling the business. He thrives on navigating organizational challenges, always keeping the focus on sustainable expansion and cutting-edge product development.

When he steps away from the helm of Glory Paints, Sukhwinder maintains his competitive edge and focus on the golf course or the padel court. Whether in the boardroom or on the green, he values the discipline and social connection that come with staying active.
As the CEO of Avenue Lease & Rentals EA Ltd, Raj Shah is redefining how organizations approach asset management. He leads an entrepreneurial leasing powerhouse that empowers businesses to finance and manage critical infrastructure ranging from corporate fleets to complex project assets. Raj’s professional obsession lies in building scalable systems and forging strategic partnerships that remove operational friction, ultimately making life easier for his clients.
Beyond the boardroom, Raj’s life is fueled by a pursuit of challenge and precision. He is a dedicated husband and father to two energetic boys, though he still finds time to sharpen his focus on the golf course or test his limits in endurance sports.

His most rugged pursuit, however, is his long-standing role as a navigator in the Rhino Charge. This grueling off-road event perfectly mirrors his professional life: a blend of strategic navigation, high-stakes adventure, and a deep-seated commitment to conservation work.
