Looking back, how would you describe your journey in EO so far? It has been so diverse with the thrill and learnings of going through “boot-strapping” and the typical start-up phase when we were forming the chapter, to deep meaningful connections to incredible learnings and concepts, to global awe-inspiring destinations and events.
I joined in 2013 as a founding member (before it was formed), at which time I was recently married and was running our young stationery business that I had started in 2010. What first encouraged you to attend your first international learning event? I joined the founding board and has part of that got to attend GLC
Which international learning events or EO global programs have you attended?
What has been the single biggest value EO has brought into your life?
GLC, RLA, Universities, Others
I would say it is a the safety and encouragement to explore and grow in a unique space that is this community. One where I carry my own bags, with a group of judgement free, open and curious bunch of people, that is both as local and as global as what I would make it to be.
What kind of value have you gained from these events? Business, Leadership, Mindset, Network, Personal, Growth

What would you tell a new EO member about international learning events? They bring a different flavour and energy to the whole experience. You truly realise how global EO is when you attend a large international event.
In my experience the EO experience is incomplete without this.
What would you encourage members to do more of within EO?

A moment that stands out is when attending the EO Singularity University in San Francisco, and the speaker showed us how “the future is already here, it is just not evenly distributed”. The possibilities of what is and could be opened up my mind completely. In terms of a connection - one that stands out is with George Gan, thanks to Sri introducing us, led to inviting him to Kenya for several workshops - and this connection that is very special for me, and also has brought so much value for EO Kenya, happened at a GLC.
What would you tell a longstanding EO member who has never attended one?
Be grateful for all the amazing work that member leaders are doing for you, and if you see something can be improved, put your hand up and improve it.
How can members make the most of everything EO has to offer? The general answer is the more time and energy you put in, the more you get out. If there was one thing I would encourage is to get on the Path of Leadership! It automatically helped build connections, get me to attend regional and global events, and accelerated my personal journey of growth.
In one or two sentences, what does EO mean to you today? Like I mentioned previously and it is still true - EO is a community and space where I can safely explore to learn and grow.
