ESOP TRAINING PROGRAMS

The NCEO offers a live training program for ESOP communications committee members. The programs are presented by the NCEO Director of Education Lindsay Isaac over the course of 4 weeks. Each session is 90 minutes long and includes interactive and engaging activities. This training costs $350 for NCEO members.

We also offer a monthly, member-exclusive communications resource called The Download Each featured resource has been designed for use by employee-owners at your company and can be passed on as is or with minimal adaptation to include the specifics of your plan. NCEO members can sign up today to receive The Download directly to their inbox as it is released each month.

Speakers

Angela Busk is a seasoned leader in human resources and organizational development, guiding strategic human capital initiatives and cultural transformation In her role as director of people & culture at Colorado Pool + Spa Scapes Angela aligns employees with business goals, focusing on leadership development and ESOP-based employee engagement Angela earned her master’s degree in clinical counseling, equipping her with insight into human behavior and emotional intelligence, which drives how she shapes culture

Thomas Flynn is chief operating officer of Bellview Associates and leads transaction execution, business development, and cross-functional coordination for middle-market ESOP and M&A transactions He has served as deal lead on many ESOP formations and sell-side transactions across construction, engineering, and financial services sectors Prior to Bellview Associates, he held investment roles at Prospect Capital and Sandton Capital Partners, where he underwrote and closed numerous middle-market private equity and credit transactions

Jon Sweigart is a principal consultant with the Praxis Consulting Group For more than 10 years, he has helped employee-owned, nonprofit, and other values-driven organizations connect employee development and performance to results Jon’s work includes individual and team assessment and coaching, strategic and succession planning, and leadership development at multiple levels all aimed at building sustainable systems and a culture of shared ownership

Maddie Binke is a communications leader with 15 years of experience helping companies amplify their brand and connect their people to a shared purpose At Catamount, she drives strategic communications across the business, shaping the stories that make employee ownership feel real and meaningful to the people living it every day Maddie holds a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and digital media from the University of Colorado at Boulder

Evan Barber is a people-first leader and lifelong learner who has built his career around the belief that organizations succeed when their people thrive At Catamount, he leads People Team initiatives and employee engagement, designing the programs, systems, and experiences that develop leaders at every level of the organization Evan holds a bachelor of arts degree in history and secondary education from the University of Northern Colorado and a graduate certificate in HR operations from the University of Denver, where he is currently completing his master of science degree in strategic human resources He is also a proud U S Coast Guard veteran and continues to serve as an officer in the Coast Guard Reserve

Andrea DiMatteo spearheads the Ownership Culture Survey for the NCEO She has moved from a member to using her practitioner’s lens to modernize and administer the survey Andrea has decades of experience crafting organizational culture and learning from the ground up She served as head of learning and development with New Belgium Brewing and in 2018 co-founded DiMatteo Consulting Andrea led learning and client success with The Moxie Exchange working with clients to build inclusive organizational cultures Andrea holds a master of education degree in adult education and training, a bachelor of arts degree, and several certificates in leadership development and training

Matt Tyburski is a CPA, that has a passion for employee ownership as a vehicle to reward the team members who are driving a business forward and as a vehicle for change Matt has implemented ERISA qualified employee ownership plans as well as non-qualified employee ownership programs He prides himself on being the bridge between strategy and tactics Matt has worked at closely held companies assisting founders with growth strategies, leadership development, and team building He has held various roles including CEO, CFO, and COO During those tenures, Matt has led organizations to three-fold growth of revenue and staff

Kelly Chewning transforms how employee-owned companies and conscious businesses operate As founder of Elevate Coaching & Consulting, she guides leaders in building company cultures and operations where both profits and people thrive Her approach combines operational expertise from scaling tech startups with deep experience implementing Conscious Capitalism principles Kelly helps organizations create environments where employees feel valued for their natural strengths while achieving revenue and profitability goals

Christopher Arnold believes that delivering high-performance results and caring for people are not conflicting priorities He founded Care Deeply Consulting to transform hard-working managers into high-performing leaders with a people-first mindset With over 40 coaches across the US, Christopher teaches leaders how to leverage their care to inspire and engage their teams, navigate unhealthy conflict, and hold colleagues supportively accountable to results As a leader in the business-as-a-force-for-good movement, Christopher has served as board president for the Rocky Mountain Employee Ownership Center, as network leader for B2B B Corps, and as advisory board member for Truce Media, an employee-owned video production company

The NCEO's Ownership Culture Survey (OCS) gives you the tools to measure your employee ownership culture effectively. The OCS examines your culture with both breadth and depth, looking at everything from how well employee-owners at your company understand employee ownership to how they see their role in creating value to whether or not they have the tools, skills, and information to act like owners (and more) With this data, you can assess your ownership culture's strengths and weaknesses, measure progress over time, set concrete goals, and focus your energy where you'll get the greatest payoff
