Throughout February, we participated in key platforms such as MD&M West, reinforcing Baja California’s positionwithintheglobaladvancedmanufacturingand medical device ecosystem. In addition, during the NationalInvestmentPromotionMeetingledbyMexico’s President, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, we reaffirmed our commitment to attracting investment and fostering competitiveconditionsfortheregion.
We also advanced our international agenda through strategic meetings with representatives from SwitzerlandandChina, strengthening partnerships that opennewopportunitiesforcollaborationandgrowth.
The year begins with coordinated action, long-term vision, and a strong commitment to Ensenada’s economicdevelopment.

On January 28, we held our first annual report meeting at the Coral & Marina Hotel, where the organization's President, Mario A. Peregrina, and Director, Kennya Vargas, shared the 2026 work plan. During this meeting, we presented the sectors and regions where we will focus our promotional efforts, as well as national and international events and agendas, working groups, and new projects aimed at strengthening our membership and the business communityofEnsenada.

We appreciate the active participation and valuable contributions of those who joined us, which enrich this work plan and strengthen collaboration among the various stakeholders in the business ecosystem. We wish you a year full of success in each of your projects.

On January 23rd we participated in Ensenada Lab: Children Entrepreneurs, a day aimed at homeschool students from preschooltohighschoolofIPÁAWA.
In collaboration with Cimarrones Emprendedores Ensenada and Plurales, the studentscreatedproductsandcompanies from toys and dolls to video games — strengthening their creativity, teamwork and entrepreneurialvision.
During the event, our Executive Director, Kennya Vargas Maldonado, presented the work of Ensenada EDC, the main economic sectors of Ensenada, and our international reach, using a dynamic approach adapted forchildren.Itwasapleasuretocontributeto the development of Ensenada's future entrepreneurialgenerations

On February 16th we participated in the swearing-in ceremony of Eng. José Alfredo SalazarJuárezaspresidentoftheCoparmex EnsenadaCouncil.

FromFebruary3rdto5th,weparticipatedin MD&M West, one of the most relevant global events for the medical device industry, strengthening Baja California's presence within the international ecosystem of advanced manufacturing andMedTech.
During the event, we forged strategic connections, explored key trends, and held meetings with companies interested in expanding their operations in Mexico. Baja California is consolidating its position as one of the leading MedTech hubs in Latin America, with over 100 companies in the sector, more than 85,000 direct jobs, and a robustexportplatformtotheUnitedStates.
In this context, Ensenada stands out for its concentration of scientific and technical talent, supported by research centers and academic institutions that promote innovation and the development of highvalueprojects.
As part of ProBaja Trade & Investment, the Ensenada EDC delegation was represented by Kennya Vargas, Executive Director, and Axl Silva, FDI Specialist / Business Development, who promoted strategic meetings and new collaboration opportunities.

On February 4th, we participated in the First National Investment Promotion Meeting, a strategic gathering that brought together business leaders and organizations from across the country to strengthen investment attraction in Mexico. Mario A. Peregrina, President of Ensenada EDC, represented our city in coordination with ProBaja Trade & Investment, reaffirming the commitment to promoting Ensenada and Baja California as competitivedestinationsfornewprojects.
The meeting was led by President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Economy Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, where key issues such as generating certainty for investors, legal certainty and streamlining procedures to facilitate the arrival of new investments wereaddressed.

As part of MD&M West, we participated in the event“PlanMexico:OpportunitiesinAdvanced Manufacturing & High-Tech Industries,” organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where investment opportunities in Baja CaliforniaandChihuahuawerepresented.The meeting brought together key players in the binational ecosystem including the USMexicoChamberofCommerce,theMinistryof Economy,theGovernmentoftheStateofBaja California, and Chihuahua Global EDC— highlighting the importance of public-private collaboration to strengthen advanced manufacturing and high-tech industries in Mexico.
Representing Ensenada EDC were Kennya Vargas Maldonado and Axl Silva, who promoted the region and fostered connections with companies interested in expandingtoEnsenada.



On February 5th, we met at the Swiss Embassy in Mexico withAmbassadorPietroPiffarettiandRubénAraiza,Director of Business Hub Switzerland, to further strengthen trade relationsbetweenSwissandBajaCaliforniacompanies.This meetingcontinuestheworkagendawelaunchedlastyear in Switzerland, reaffirming our commitment to generating new opportunities for investment, collaboration, and developmentintheregion EnsenadaEDCwasrepresented byitsPresident,MarioA Peregrina
On February 18th, we met with Onik Bogosyan, President of ONEX RF, Inc., a company based in Duarte, California, dedicated to the design and manufacture of radio frequency welding systems, heat sealing equipment, and catheter tip forming equipment for the medical device industry.Theirautomatedsolutionsarerecognizedfortheir precision, process control, and reliability in advanced manufacturing applications. After an introduction to the company ' s capabilities and products, we toured their facilities to learn firsthand about their operations and technologies

On February 26, we held a meeting with Fu Xinrong, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Tijuana, and Ying Huang, Vice Consul of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Tijuana, to follow up on collaborativetiesbetweenChinaandEnsenada.Duringthe meeting, we discussed strategic opportunities in the economic, cultural, and tourism sectors, strengthening institutional ties and exploring new avenues for bilateral cooperation
