The E handles dry hay only and maintains peak efficiency and productivity while keeping things simple for the operator.

The M handles dry hay and wet, heavy silage with ease. This is our bread-and-butter baler, providing what you need with some very useful advanced technology.

The R can handle dry hay and silage and includes a high-capacity pickup option with or without a precutter. Highly productive, the R Spec Round Balers also feature heavy-duty components for less wear and tear. Optional Weave Automation1 allows for seamless implement control and full windrow coverage with reduced operator input. This is the most advanced baler we offer. It includes a two-year warranty to protect your investment.2

MegaWide™ Plus Pickup Found on our M Spec Round Balers, MegaWide Plus Pickup gathers more crop and handles higher-volume windrows.3 The result is easier days in the field and higher productivity.

High-Capacity Pickup R Spec Round Baler Models feature a HighCapacity Pickup, our highest capacity, most productive pickup yet. It offers a 33% increase over MegaWide Pickup4 so you can increase your output per day by 80+ bales.5 Available with or without a precutter—5 ft balers have 20 knives and 4 ft balers have 14 knives.

Hydraulic Drop Floor Our innovative self-clearing hydraulic drop-floor system on the High-Capacity Pickup allows you to clear plugs from your cab.4 Instead of a typical friction clutch, these balers use a cut out clutch and heavy duty components.

High-Capacity Precutters Available on R Spec machines with the HighCapacity Pickup. Gain a more efficient way to handle processed hay. Precutters improve bale density and feed digestibility, especially for TMR systems. Reduce the need for tub grinding and maintain feed quality. 5 ft balers have 20 knives, 4 ft balers have 14 knives.

Baler Automation can improve bale consistency and boost throughput no matter your experience level. Used independently or together, Gate Automation opens and closes the baler after wrapping, Speed Automation stops and restarts tractor movement at each cycle, and Weave Automation steers side-to-side to evenly fill the chamber.

Weave Automation is available on select round balers.1 Simply place the windrow between the tractor tires and watch it work! This automated hitch system allows a +38-degree swing from left to right, leading to consistent bale shape and less opportunity for dirt and debris to be introduced to the windrow.2

Keep an eye on the entire baling process. You benefit with greater visibility, a better view in bright or contrasted environments, the ability to see the rear of the baler and the ejected bales on the field behind.

John Deere Operations Center™ Monitor and gain insights into your machine performance, bale count, moisture and weight, all wrapped into field-by-field yield data through documenting your passes. This information transfers to John Deere Operations Center through the JDLink™ Modem.1 No USB needed.

Equipment Mobile Keep your equipment ready to go with important details in the app such as maintenance information and instructions, parts information specific to your equipment, and other specifics that are vital to machine health and performance.

Net Wrap John Deere offers multiple types of Net Wrap including Cover Edge, Edge to Edge, and B Wrap.
