Ride into the future of landscaping on our most advanced zero-turn mower yet. The Z998R features a heavy-duty, 43.4-horsepower turbo-diesel engine, an all-new 100-inch (254-cm) FastBack™ PRO mower deck design, two independently operated E-Cut™ wing decks, and a patented height-of-cut system.

But we didn’t stop there. Its smart powertrain system and fully upgraded operator’s station are bursting with targeted technology designed to give you more control while improving your productivity and enhancing your comfort.

60, 80, 100 INCHES (152, 203, 254 CM)? THIS ZTRAK MOWS THEM ALL

Need to tackle smaller spaces? Mow with just the 60-inch (152-cm) center deck. Want to switch to an 80-inch (203-cm) cutting width? Use your steering levers to drop one wing and keep right on going. Or, lower both wings for a full 100-inch (254-cm) width and take on large terrain without stopping.

The icing on the cake? You can stop the center deck altogether and mow with just the wings. With versatility like this, there’s no telling what you can accomplish.

E-Cut Wing Decks

Mow in any configuration you need to get the job done with the Z998R’s two independently operated E-Cut wing decks. Each wing adds an extra 20 inches (51 cm) per side and features lift and lower speeds to save you time out on the turf.

Buckle up and prepare to tackle more turf in our smoothest-riding seat yet. A high backrest design, adjustable seat settings, and air-suspension system help decrease discomfort and strain on long mowing days—while providing the support you need to mow at faster speeds. And a flip-forward design makes serviceability a breeze.

Fully Serviceable Electric Spindle Motors

This industry-first design gives you quick access to the spindles and lower housings for DIY service anywhere. A durable anodized housing offers complete protection in wet and rainy conditions. And improved blade impact resistance ensures your spindle motors can stand up to the challenge before needing to be replaced.

4.3-Inch LED Color Touchscreen Display

An easy-to-read, full-color touchscreen display lets you view the PTO, parking brake, hour meter, fuel gauge, and more—while giving you access to custom machine settings and unique user profiles for owners, operators, technicians, and dealers.

Simplified Height-of-Cut

We’ve updated our height-of-cut system, so you can make quick, tool-free adjustments on-the-go. The center deck features a simplified pin map design that can be changed from the comfort of your air-suspension seat. A convenient transport lever locks the deck at the highest setting for easier travel.

Three-Button Comfort and Convenience Handles

Make quick transitions for different mowing configurations with highly responsive steering, full PTO control, center and wing deck lift control, and an integrated parking brake.

Convenient Wing Deck Adjustment

Adjust both wing decks with a convenient turn dial on the front casters and a linear pin map on the rear casters. Engraved height-of-cut markings make it easy to get the right height and increment while a magnetic locking key keeps everything in place. Choose from 1 to 5.5 inches (2.5 to 14 cm) in quarter-inch (0.6-cm) increments.

Administrative profiles give full sub-menu access to owners, supervisors, technicians, and dealers to adjust machine settings, view diagnostic and service information, and perform factory resets.
