As I think about the Ironman 70.3, even if it is half of the full Ironman experience, I am reminded of the process of forging iron (probably from watching the History Channel’s “Forged in Fire” series for many years haha). Just as iron is heated, shaped, and molded into a strong and durable tool, so too they are forged through countless hours of training, discipline, and sacrifice.
In the zine, you will see my expressions of moments seen in 2018 and 2019 when Davao City hosted the swim with Tagum City being part of the bike and run stages. Even though I was only in the area close to where my family and I reside, it offers some snippets of the experiences of the community from early morning until just after noon.
