The Lancaster County Postcard Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 21, at the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster. The program for the evening will be a Members Market where members will sell postcards and paper items. The postcard competition will be “Advertising.” The meeting is open to the public. Siloam Ethiopia will offer an Ethiopian meal on Saturday, March 26, from noon to 4:30 p.m. at Ethiopian Evangelical Church in Lancaster, 175 Church St., Landisville. The food will be offered for curbside pickup on a firstcome, first-served basis. Menu options will include doro wat, chicken with gravy featuring an Ethiopian spice called berbere; misir wat, a spicy dish featuring cooked lentils; a non-spicy dish of split yellow peas with gravy; and a non-spicy vegetable dish that combines cabbage, carrots and potatoes. Meals will be served with injera, a type of flatbread. Proceeds will go toward ministries in Harar, Ethiopia. These are an orphanage and a free clinic that serves people who are homeless or otherwise in need. Due to a civil war, demand for medical care is high.
