Atglen to celebrate Community Day

enningtonville Presbyterian Church and Atglen Public Library (APL) will present the 12th annual Atglen Community Day on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attractions, which will include vendors, food,

live entertainment and children’s games, will take place at Atglen Community Park, 400 Ridge Ave., Atglen. While there will not be a car show at this year’s event, a new attraction will be a mobile zip line. “They can set it up on any surface, so our plan is to have it on Ridge
Avenue. It will be roughly a block long. They adjust the incline,” explained Cristi Hahn, who is co-chair of Community Day along with Lillian Thompson. “We try to do one big new thing every year. We had a mechanical bull one year, bumper cars and ax throwing. We keep switching it up.” FURNITURE
