Event organizers include (from left) Darlene Colón, Patty Shrom and Brenda Shock.

“We want to bring awareness to local history and have some family fun,” said Patti Shrom when describing Christiana Heritage Days being presented by the Christiana Historical Society (CHS) on Friday through Sunday, Sept. 12 through 14. The celebration will include music, food, historical demonstrations and displays, children’s activities and guided wagon tours through the town. Visitors will also be able to learn about the Christiana Resistance, a slave rebellion that took place in Christiana on Sept. 11, 1851. See Christiana pg 6

Todd Prickett, co-owner of The Barn at Paradise Station, has specific criteria that talent appearing at the venue must meet. “Our main focus is not on the quantity of our shows, but quality,” stated Todd, who noted that an act’s material should be suitable for all family members. W hen Todd first heard of Christian recording artist Chris August, he researched the musician and discovered a 10-day tour called “Acoustic Storytime,” See Concert pg 4
