When artists congregate, they often like to discuss their creations with each other. This was the case when painter Stephen Gambone and mixed-media artist Carrie Monique Daigle first saw Paris Llanso’s brightly colored painting called “Citrus Splash.” “I love how the buildup of paint is thick and structural,” commented Daigle. “That’s (called) impasto,” added Gambone. Gifts That Give Hope Fair To Move To New Location By Chelsea Peifer
This year, the Gifts That Give Hope (GTGH) Lancaster Alternative Gift Fair is moving to a new location. The 12th annual event is set to take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, in Landis Hall at The Junction Center, 1875 Junction Road, Manheim. People may visit with representatives of 30 nonprofits that are providing life-changing benefits to people in both local and global contexts. Individuals will have the option of purchasing charitable gift donations to honor loved ones, and each of those gifts will include a greeting card and an explanatory insert about how the donation will sustain and provide for others. “Our key words are accessibility, affordability, and adaptability as far as creating Gospel-rich materials and getting them out (to missionaries),” said Tom Luttmann, executive director of Bible Visuals International (BVI), 650 Main St., Akron. In employing those principles, Luttmann emphasized that the message is not compromised. “Jesus Christ - yesterday, today, and forever,” said Luttmann. “How we do what we do has changed, but not the message.” BVI will celebrate 60 years of supplying missionaries around the world with ways of delivering that message at the organization’s annual banquet at Shady Maple Smorgasboard, 129 Toddy Drive, East Earl, on Friday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m. A gluten-free meal option will be available. Pavelko characterized the second concert, “Seen” - a song cycle by Kristen Brewer - as “a women’s Bible study in concert form.” “(Brewer) touches on key moments of women in the Bible who are in the lineage of Jesus Christ,” said Pavelko. Brewer will perform the piece Thursday and Friday, Nov. 21 and 22, at 7:30 p.m. each night. Calmus is a German a capella ensemble, which will be performing in America for the first time. “(Calmus) won the German equivalent of the Grammy,” said Robert Bigley, executive director of The Trust. “(The members) are a very respected European vocal ensemble.” Pavelko noted that The Trust acoustics are especially suited to a capella. “They will be performing some of their personal favorites, and that will be our Christmas concert,” said Pavelko of the show planned for Friday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 p.m. For Valentine’s Day 2020, The Trust will host VOCES8 for the third time. “(They will sing) love songs from multiple genres and languages,” said Bigley. “They are well received by our audience,” recalled Pavelko. “They will do a number of classical pieces and crossover music, and their voices are absolutely beautiful in the great hall.” VOCES8 will perform at The Trust on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 13 and 14, 2020. In March of 2020, soprano Amy Owens, pianist Kendra Bigley, and clarinetist Doris HallGulati, who won a Grammy Award in 2019 for her solo in Lansing McLoskey’s oratorio titled “Zealot Canticles,” will perform Schubert’s “The Shepherd on the Rock.” The Thursday, March 5, concert will begin at
7:30 p.m. “That (piece is) very rarely heard because you have to have an amazing pianist, amazing singer, and amazing soprano,” said Bigley, who noted that because Owens is gaining a reputation as a crossover artist, some jazz pieces will be played as well. On Thursday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m., the performance will include the “Four Seasons” pieces by Vivaldi and Piazzolla with Dutch violinist Carla Leurs and the group Cugnon Consort. “People look forward to ‘The Four Seasons,’ and it will be juxtaposed with the ‘Four Seasons of Buenos Aires’ by Piazzolla, a famous Argentinian composer, so it has a tango feel to it,” said Bigley, who said that Leurs was the first artist to perform at The Trust. “We have been trying to get her back ever since,” he noted adding that Leurs is teaming with some of the top young musicians in Europe in Cugnon. “It will be a really fiery concert,” said Bigley. According to Pavelko, last year’s performance of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” was so well attended, it will return on Saturdays, Nov. 30, Dec. 7, Dec. 14, and Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and on Friday, Dec. 20, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. “We will make it a holiday tradition,” said Pavelko. The Trust will also feature Row House Forums, and the Square Halo Gallery featuring art inspired by the Christian faith will hold exhibits. Luther Acres Sets “reDiscover” Program Luther Acres, a Luthercare community located at 600 E. Main St., Lititz, will offer a variety of courses for its fall 2019 “reDiscover a World of Possibilities” program. All courses are open to the greater community. Most courses are held on the Luther Acres campus and have varying fees for campus residents and nonresidents. The purpose of the “reDiscover” program is to provide an opportunity to learn new information, be creative, be enriched, and have fun. The courses are held one day a week, and some cover a fouror eight-week period. “Museums of Lancaster County” will offer an opportunity to visit Lancaster County museums. The first trip, on Monday, Oct. 21, will be to the Christiana Underground Railroad Center at Historic Zercher’s Hotel. A bus will depart Luther Acres at about 8:45 a.m. and leave the site to return at noon. The second trip will feature a ride on the Strasburg Rail Road and a visit to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Oct. 29. A bus will depart Luther Acres at about 11:45 a.m. and leave the site to return at 3:30 p.m. “Yoga for Healthy Aging” will be taught by Michele Zerbey, a certified Kripalu yoga teacher, with sessions on Thursdays from Oct. 3 to Nov. 7 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. “Fantastic Fall Pumpkin and Squash” will take place on Wednesdays, Oct. 9 to 30, from
2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Chef Cary Wells from FLIK Lifestyles, Luthercare’s culinary partner, will use pumpkins and squash to create a variety of dishes. Attendees will receive the recipes and enjoy a taste of the final product. “Ballroom Dancing for Beginners” will be offered on Wednesdays, Oct. 2 to Nov. 20, from 6 to 7 p.m. Instructors Gregg and Amber Stief of Stief Performance and Event Services will cover the five major ballroom dances: waltz, foxtrot, rhumba, cha-cha, and swing. Couples and singles of all ages and abilities are welcome. The Stiefs will also instruct “Ballroom Dancing - Beyond Basics,” set for Wednesdays, Oct. 2 to Nov. 20, from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. This class will move slightly faster than the beginner class. The Luther Acres Therapy Department will present “Staying Vertical” on Wednesdays, Oct. 9 and 16, from 2 to 3 p.m. Attendees will learn the common causes of falls and how to reduce their risk of falling. The first session will explore risk factors and more, and the second session will include a multi-station clinic on falls and a balance screening. Art Show from pg 1 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An art walk, which will feature the work of local high school artists, will be open from noon until 3 p.m. on the day of the show. Items that artists and craftspeople will bring to sell at the show will include jewelry, mixed media pieces, abstract art, landscapes, watercolor paintings, ceramics, pottery, and more. The show is billed as a child-friendly and pet-friendly event. Gambone, a self-taught painter who has had a passion for art from an early age, has been painting abstract cityscapes in vivid hues. This year, he also created a surreal scene of brightly colored trees with purple trunks behind a red foreground using the paint in a textural manner. Daigle creates her mixedmedia artwork using items as varied as buttons, crumbled pieces of material left in a kiln after it fires, wallpaper, and lace. She sometimes uses a board
background or creates on canvas with resin poured over the top. “I get all over the place with my imagery,” said Daigle, displaying a piece that uses wallpaper, a pearl necklace, a heart, flowers, and lace. She said she likes to gather a number of items and pull them together to make something beautiful. Artist Lisa Madenspacher found the inspiration for a recent painting of yellow flowers in a drawer literally. “I was cleaning out, and I found this photo,” explained Madenspacher. “My Russian neighbor made these artsy and exotic flower arrangements, and I would take photos (of them).” When she found the photo, the memory of the arrangements returned, and she decided to turn the snapshot into a painting. Jennifer Cavalcante, another artist participating in the show, will showcase a photograph of eyeliner lilies that is so vividly hued, the piece resembles a painting.
During the art show, organizers will hold hourly drawings for gift certificates to be used toward the purchase of artwork. Each attendee will receive a ticket as he or she enters the event. Refreshments will be available for purchase from the Neffsville Mennonite Church youth group. Both admission and parking are free. John Beaumont, who organizes the musical entertainment from the show, has put together a lineup that brings back a number of favorites from past events. Musical groups will include the Stone Soup String Band playing old-time mountain music with fiddles, spoons, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and limberjack at 9:30 a.m. At 11:15 a.m., Sorrentino Jazz Band will entertain with tunes designed to appeal to people of all ages, and at 1 p.m., the Steve Barth Band will play rock tunes and soft rock covers. At 2:45 p.m., TJ Earley, of which Beaumont is a member,
will play originals and covers of blues, rock, and soft rock songs. Attendees may enter the event grounds from either Hillside Lane or Meadow Lane, located off Lititz Pike in Neffsville. Exclusive gift certificates will be available for GTGH attendees to purchase. Another new GTGH participant for 2019 will be AIM to Empower, a nonprofit organization founded by Beth Weaver in 2017 with the intent of creating connection and opportunity through the practice of yoga. “I’ve seen the positive impact (yoga) can have on people, so we want to take yoga to underserved populations,” Weaver said. AIM to Empower has implemented yoga programs in places including Lancaster County Prison, Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center, Refugee Center and Community School at Reynolds, and Lourdeshouse Maternity Home. At GTGH, plenty of food will be available to purchase from local vendors such as Upohar, Reunion Food Truck, Grape Leaf Cafe, and The Lancaster Stroopies Company, so Knepper encourages attendees to come hungry. A new food tour will allow people to purchase tickets and receive a stamp card that will direct them to the eight booths at the fair participating in the
tour. A volunteer or business owner at each stand will provide food education or information about the business, as well as samples of small dishes such as samosas and Liberian rice bread. Children can participate in a scavenger hunt centered on the Declaration of Human Rights in honor of Human Rights Day, celebrated on Dec. 10. Participants who complete the hunt will be eligible to receive a book about human rights. Since it began in 2008, the fair has become a staple for many Lancaster-area residents as they shop for the holidays. Knepper, who resides in Lancaster and works as a nurse in Hershey, read a newspaper article about an alternative gift fair happening in Harrisburg and thought it would be great to bring one to Lancaster. “I just loved what they were doing, because I’ve always been kind of a minimalist, and giving gifts that would also serve a deeper purpose really resonated with me,” Knepper said. Founder Jenn Knepper said that the fair also offers plenty of options for individuals who would rather purchase something tangible to gift those on their holiday shopping list with as well. In addition to the 30 nonprofits, approximately 12 marketplace vendors will sell fair trade items. “We try to emphasize that there’s something for everybody,” explained Knepper. “And if you are going to buy tangible things, make it something that is ethically sourced. People want to make those choices, and the fair brings a lot of options into one place.” The fair serves as a strong communitybuilding event as the nonprofits that participate are able to share their stories and missions with shoppers, building both relationships and awareness. One of the new participants in this year’s fair will be Bridge, an award-winning cultural exchange startup established by Somalian refugee Mustafa Nuur. “We are a social enterprise company, and we use cultural events to connect people in the community with refugees,” explained Nuur. In addition to speakers, people who have been connected to the ministry during its history will join the gathering, and artists and writers who have worked with the organization will be profiled at each table. Luttmann explained that Children’s Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is a ministry that has been a substantial part of BVI history. Katherine Hershey, who was CEF director in Lancaster, and Mable Ruth Wray, who was CEF director in Harrisburg, are both connected to the origin of BVI, which was founded by area resident Helen Odenwelder. Making materials accessible to missionaries around the world has been an important goal for BVI. Help in accomplishing that feat has been provided by Sam Gunti, who runs large Bible camps in India. Through a special licensing agreement, Gunti is able to print BVI materials for use in his camps. While giving a nod to the past, Luttmann said the program will also look at the present and exploring new avenues God is providing for BVI in ways to adapt

A number of speakers will address the gathering, including Luttmann and Jerry Durston, director of Club DJ, headquartered in Saskatchewan, Canada, which holds up to 400 Bible clubs each summer. Elinor Young, a special guest, will share stories of her time serving as a missionary in Irian Jaya, Indonesia, where she helped translate the Bible into the language of the Kimyal people and used BVI literature to help explain the message of the Gospel. Although Young has been ordering materials from BVI for several years, Luttman was first inspired to ask her to speak at a banquet when he saw a video about her life at Lancaster Bible College’s mission week event. The World Team Missions display was showing a video called “Bad Legs,” which was the name the people had for Young in Irian Jaya. “(Young) had polio when she was a little girl,” explained Luttman. “(She and her family) never thought she would be able to go into the mission field, especially in a remote area, and yet God called her.” After completing Bible training, Young went to Indonesia to serve the Kimyal. “What seemed like a physical weakness really illustrated God’s love to the people,” said Luttmann, who explained that Bad Legs is a term of endearment. “(The Kimyal told her), ‘We have people (here with disabilities) who aren’t able to leave the valley where we live. Rec Center Plans 13th Annual Youth Triathlon

Simon Ababou, fitness director with the Lititz recCenter, is pleased with the success of the 2019 annual adult triathlon on Sunday, Aug. 4. “We had 267 for adults,” said a beaming Ababou. “The next challenge is for the children.” The 13th annual youth triathlon will be held at the rec center, 301 W. Maple St., Lititz, on Friday, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m. The triathlon is open to all area students between the ages of 5 and 12, including those living in neighboring boroughs. Check-in time on the day of the event will be 4 p.m. Bicycle safety checks will be held from 4 to 4:45 p.m. The event generally concludes by 6 p.m. The rain date will be Friday, Oct. 11. Children will begin the event with a swim in the indoor rec center pool, followed by bike laps in the rec center parking lot and a run at the rec. Participants are asked to bring their bicycle, a helmet, a swimsuit, a towel, and running shoes to the event. Proper swimwear is required. Because there is little time to change between swimming and biking, participants may bring shorts to wear over their swimsuit. Students may also bring a water bottle to help stay hydrated. Each athlete will be marked with an entry number for timing purposes. Participants will be divided into four age groups. Children ages 5 to 6 will swim 25 yards,
bike one-half mile, and run a quarter-mile. Those ages 7 and 8 will swim and run the same distances, but they will bike three-quarters of a mile. Youngsters ages 9 and 10 will swim 50 yards, bike three-quarters of a mile, and run a half mile. Youths ages 11 and 12 will swim 75 yards, bike threequarters of a mile, and run three-quarters of a mile. Ababou noted that participants will be given about 10 minutes of time to warm up by moving to music, which will give them a chance to stretch and prepare for the triathlon. Participants will be given fruit following the event. In 2018, more than 60 youngsters took part in the event. About a dozen rec center staff members and up to 30 volunteers work together to open the competition to a maximum of 110 participants. Ababou assigns six lanes in the pool with volunteers to check times. Nine volunteers are needed to time runners and another nine for cyclists. Individuals who would like to volunteer may call Ababou at 717-626-5096, ext. 239. When the big plays are going in your favor, use them again and again. Manheim Township sophomore Isaiah Jones is one of those who would agree with that. He took the opening kickoff of Friday night’s home football game and returned it 85 yards to the Penn Manor end zone for a quick score. The Streaks (4-0) scored another 17 points in the first quarter alone and pounded Penn Manor 65-7 in the first Section One game of the year for both teams. Harrison Kirk, who finished with 11 completions on 17 pass attempts for
214 yards, threw the first of his three touchdown passes later in the first period, connecting with Jaden Floyd for a 51-yard score. Jackson Wright added a 31-yard field goal to make it 17-0 before Township made it 24-0 on a 25-yard scoring toss from Kirk to Mickey Stokes. In addition, Kirk connected with Brett Benjamin four times for 55 yards and a touchdown. He hit Stokes three times for 42 yards, including the TD. Ben Mann caught two passes for 27 yards. Hempfield 2-1 in Landisville on Wednesday and were on the short end of a 2-1 final in Reading Saturday morning. Hempfield and CV were the first league rivals the Streaks faced this year, improving their mark to 2-0-0 and a first-place spot in Section One. The Reading match was the team’s first loss (3-1-1 overall) of the year. Colton Pierson took advantage of two opportunities in the first half, putting Township up 1-0 at the eight minute mark and doubling the lead in the 32nd minute. He had assists from Andrew Sheehan and Rob Irizary part of a 12-shot attack by MT’s offense. Irizary and Sheehan were both involved in the scoring at Hempfield too. The Knights took a 1-0 lead and carried it into the second half. Sheehan scored the equalizer seven minutes after the break. Moses Beers served up the game-winning goal with one minute remaining in regulation. Irizary and Liam Wright each recorded an assist. The Reading game started on Saturday morning and nearly went into Sunday. The Red Knights scored the game-winning goal in the second overtime as Jair Duran put the game away 95 minutes after the opening whistle. The Streaks were not able to hold on to a 1-0 lead in the second half. Wright scored in the 61st minute off an assist from Beers. Michael Dominguez tied the game in the 73rd minute. Quinn McCarty, coming off two close victories, made three saves in front of the Township net. TENNIS Victories over Ephrata and Conestoga Valley improved the tennis team’s record to 6-0 (4-0 league) Township played both matches at home, blanking both the Mountaineers on Monday and the Buckskins two days later. Avery Palandjian, Julia Briner, Scotland Reynolds and Kayla Kurtz each contributed to two team points in the Ephrata match. Reynolds and Palandjian teamed up for an 8-0 doubles win. Briner partnered with Camille Henneman to win 8-0 while Kurtz and Sarah Pestana cruised to an
8-0 third doubles win. Palandjian won the number one singles 6-0, 6-1. Reynolds, Kurtz and Briner each won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0. Reynolds and Palandjian posted an 8-1 win in the first doubles match versus CV. Briner and Henneman faced a tough competition from Sophia Steed and Ellie Kready, but prevailed 8-5. Kurtz and Petana won their match 8-0. In singles, Palandjian (6-2, 6-3) and Reynolds (6-0, 6-0) started off with straight set wins. Kurtz followed with another one, winning 6-2, 7-5 and Briner made it all Township with her 6-0, 6-1 win. FIELD HOCKEY The Streaks had a busy week of field hockey that included three L-L League matches followed by two non-league Saturday games played at Hershey. The week opened with a heartbreaking 1-0 loss at Conestoga Valley on Monday. Vanessa Daniels was sensational in goal, making 12 saves as the Buckskins recorded 14 shots on goal. That kept the game scoreless through regulation play. Ellie Livingston scored the game-winning goal at the 14:23 mark of the overtime period to give CV the victory. Two days later and another Section One road game saw the Streaks, with 22 shots on goal, post a 7-0 victory at Cedar Crest. Sophia Rockwell, who also had one assist, Kayte Moist and Rea Fox each finished with two goals. Abby Laubach also scored while Daniels recorded a shutout, improving MT’s league record to 2-2. Friday the 13th did not have things go in the Streaks’ favor. Penn Manor edged Township 2-1 with Julia Romano scoring an unassisted goal for the Streaks. Township split its Saturday matches at Hershey, defeating Central York 1-0 before losing to the hosts 3-0. Allison Cubell’s goal at the 13:09 mark of the second half came off a Keliah Santiago assist and broke a scoreless tie against the Panthers. Daniels minded the cage and kept the Panthers off the scoreboard with four saves.
Daniels faced 19 shots against Hershey. The Trojans were able to sneak in three goals and shut out the Streaks, who fell to 3-5 on the year. CROSS COUNTRY Both the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams improved to 3-1 on the year with a defeat of Lebanon and Conestoga Valley in Tuesday’s Section One home meet. In the boys’ race, Township won a close battle, edging Lebanon 22-36 and running past CV 19-46. The Township girls blanked Lebanon 15-55 and beat the Buckskins 21-40. One of the keys to Township’s success in the boys’ race was claiming half of the top-10 places across the finish line. Tyler Stevens won the race in a time of 17:03. Roy Horton’s time of 17:08 was a close third-place time. Dieter Geib (5th, 17:34), Brayden Brunsch (7th, 17:57) and Keven Perez, who took 10th at 18:14 helped pace a team that also earned 11th thanks to Andrew Gusavage (18:36) Hayden Brennan was 13th in 18:44 with Braden Schuyler crossing next at 18:50. Chloe Kline won the girls race with a 21:05. Claiming third and fourth, respectively, were Ava Pasewicz (21:52) and Paige Laurence (21:58). Aurelia Huss crossed at 22:00 - good for sixth. Jenny Weiss was seventh at 22:01.

Township kept the Red Tornado in check, winning 25-10, 25-13 and 25-10. Katie Bushong led the team in assists with 13 and tied Sarah Journey with eight digs. Emily Stevens and Trinity Tull added five kills each. Stevens also registered a block. Part of what kept McCaskey from climbing back into each set was the serving of Faith McGowan. The sophomore served up 10 aces on the day. Monday’s non-league match at Central York included two close sets as the Panthers topped Township 25-23 and 25-22 before taking the third set 25-10. Tull collected 10 kills and one block while Bushong hustled for 16 digs and dished out 10 assists. Emily Thorsen served up two aces.

“It just made more sense,” Recovery Day Lancaster organizer Scott Theurer said about the merging of the Lancaster County Recovery Alliance event with 521 Club’s Recovery Rocks event. “It’s for the same thing. We do together what we couldn’t do apart.” Last year, the two events took place in September several weeks apart, as September is recognized as National Recovery Month. The organizers of both events recognized that they attracted many of the same people, so they opted to join forces. The 521 Club, which is a sober club, is now a co-presenter of the new Recovery Day Lancaster/Recovery Rocks. “We’re bringing the music aspect,” said Matt Supplee, who is the 521 Club’s events coordinator. The grand event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Buchanan Park, 901 Buchanan Ave., Lancaster, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festivities will kick off with what Theurer called Lancaster’s largest serenity circle. Attendees will be invited to recite the Serenity Prayer together as they gather in a circle on the park’s lawn. At 11 a.m., the 1-mile Walk for Recovery will step off. Participants will have the opportunity to make signs and don provided T-shirts celebrating recovery before processing around the park and the adjacent Franklin & Marshall College campus. “The walk is for celebration and remembrance and to raise awareness,” Theurer said. “Addicts don’t look like the stereotype. We want people to see us healthy and having fun in the neighborhood.” After the walk, at approximately 11:45 a.m., an all-you-can-eat barbecue meal will be served. A variety of grilled meats and sides will be available for a minimum set donation. “Food is important for recovery,” Theurer remarked. He explained that nutrition often goes by the wayside when the craving for addictive substances takes priority. A total of 535 tickets will be available for the barbecue. The meal sold out last year, so readers are advised to purchase tickets in advance by visiting https://recovery-day-lancaster.ticketleap.com. Children age 7 and under may eat free of charge. Ice cream will be available for purchase. Following the meal, Lancaster Mayor Danene Sorace is slated to read a proclamation. The concert will kick off at noon. James Severson from Gatehouse and Rebecca Moyer of RASE Project will serve as the masters of ceremonies. The concert lineup will include Rick’s One-Man Band, Dirt Road Redemption, and Half Past Dead. Half Past Dead is a Grateful Dead tribute band. “They put a cool spin on it,” Supplee said of Half Past Dead. “Everyone seems to love (their music) because it’s real chill.” Recovery Day Lancaster/Recovery Rocks is a child-friendly and pet-friendly event. “I’ve been encouraging families to come,” Theurer said. “Everyone who’s been affected by recovery should come.” Attendees are invited to bring flying discs, footballs, and other outdoor games, as well as lawn chairs and blankets for seating. There will also be organized activities for children, a magician, and balloons. A cornhole tournament will be held for older youths and adults during the afternoon. More than 30 organizations that offer resources for recovery will be represented at the event. Alcohol, drugs, and smoking are not permitted at Buchanan Park. Towne Club Meeting Set Towne Club of Lancaster will begin its new season at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Road, Lancaster, with a birthday party celebrating club friendship and community service. Towne Club was formally initiated with a meeting at the Hotel Brunswick in September 1952. New officers for the 2019-20 year will be Linda Gundy, president; Susie Gibbs, vice president; Jean Francis, secretary; Dottie Grove, treasurer; and Stephanie Mecleary, Sandra Hatton, and Judy George, directors. Program artists will be Dr. Dwight Herr, retired physician, and his wife, Cindy. Together, with Dwight playing the accordion, they will present a light-hearted musical program in the style of Lawrence Welk. The agenda will include planning for the club’s annual fundraiser, Fall Harvest, which will be held at Meadia Heights Golf Club on Saturday, Oct. 26. The event will feature a fashion show, a silent auction, and more. Proceeds will benefit the club’s Vocational Scholarship program.
