SERVING THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES SINCE 1954
VOL XXXVIII • NO 6
Civil Air Patrol Honors Cadets Civil Air Patrol Cadet Capt. Jurnee M. Acosta, Lancaster, has retired from the position of cadet commander of Jesse Jones Composite Squadron 304. She has served in command since Sept. 8, 2020, exceeding the standard 12month assignment recommended by regulations. A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Acosta by her squadron during her last meeting in command on May 9. Due to a current shortage of cadet officers, the duties of cadet commander will be temporarily performed by the squadron’s deputy commander for cadets, a senior member position. Acosta has been appointed to the Pennsylvania Wing Cadet Advisory Council, where she will represent her squadron and Group 2. She will also continue as the squadron cadet recruiting officer and as an adviser to the deputy commander for cadets.

Celebrating Progress anny Millette, director of donor relations, is clear about what The Potter’s House will celebrate when it holds its annual pork roast this summer. “(We will celebrate) the progress we have made so far and the new horizons that are ahead,” said Millette, who pointed to four wooden stakes tied with bright orange plastic ribbons located at one end of the Still Waters campus. “See the stakes? Those are the dimensions of the building, which will hopefully be two stories plus a basement.” Back in 2018, when The Potter’s House held its annual pig roast at 261 School Lane, Brownstown,
