to the aggregate weight of their catches. About 50 total anglers are expected to participate. “I’ve always been really interested in outdoor stuff,” said Case. “I love to fish, and most people I hang around with love to fish. So I figured I’d start a fishing tournament.”

All proceeds from the Clear Water for Heroes Fishing Tournament will go to Blue Skies for the Good Guys and Gals, as well as other local veterans’ organizations. If the event raises as much money as Case hopes - $10,000 - it would push the total amount raised by Clear Water for Heroes Fishing Tournament

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, more than 15,000 Pennsylvanians are known to be homeless on any given day. Housing instability and crises can stem from a multitude of factors, affecting men, women and children across the state. In Lancaster and Chester counties, nonprofit organization Good Samaritan Services (GSS) is working hard to combat homelessness by offering a variety of resources

to individuals who are experiencing a housing crisis. One of GSS’ largest fundraisers is an annual golf outing that is made possible by a partnership with Engle Printing & Publishing Co., Inc. (EPC). The 17th annual EPC Golf Outing will take place on Friday, June 7, at Crossgates Golf Club, 1 Crossland Pass, Millersville. Tee times will be at 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Golfers may also purchase tickets for prize drawings that will feature items donated by businesses in the local community. LCHS students step outside comfort zones in “The Addams Family” BY JEFF FALK

Acting is the art of taking on a role or portraying a character other than oneself. It can be an especially challenging task for young people just beginning to understand themselves. The fine and performing arts department at Lancaster Catholic High School (LCHS) will present the art of acting and what it means to the youthful performers exploring it during its upcoming staging of the musical “The Addams Family.” “Acting is almost like an out-of-body experience,” said Michael Adams, the director of “The Addams Family.” “You’re not that character, but you’re being that character. You have to talk like them. You have to move like them. Then it becomes about connecting each individual character and bringing 35 students all together. When you do that, it becomes a show.” Lancaster Catholic will perform “The Addams Family” on See “The Addams Family” pg 3
