Get your feet wet, have fun and learn how to be a good steward of the Earth at the annual Chiques Creek Watershed Alliance (CCWA) creek stomp. The event will be held

Child care will be available while parents shop, and free blood pressure checks will be offered on-site. Grab-and-go snacks will also be available at the exit. Most items that are left over after the event are donated to Jubilee Ministries in Manheim, Gray said. “Nothing goes to waste,” she remarked. This is the 23rd year for the giveaway, and last year’s event served more than 440 shoppers. That number represents an increase of almost 150 shoppers from the previous year, Gray said. Head out to the Manheim Historical Society on Aug. 20, and you can enjoy a sweet treat while supporting the organization’s mission. An ice cream social will be held at the Manheim Railroad Station, 210 S. Charlotte St., from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20. The admission charge entitles people to a bowl of ice cream and a variety of toppings, said Susan Williams, president of the historical society. “We will have members of the
