Strasburg’s many historic buildings and idyllic homes are among the area’s most unique attractions. During any season, groups of tourists drive from as far as New York to vacation in the picturesque town, surrounded by hundreds of acres of postcard-worthy farmland. But during the holiday season, Strasburg adopts a particularly festive atmosphere as community members decorate their homes and businesses for Christmas. Every December, the Strasburg Heritage Society highlights specific buildings in the area through its Holiday Home Tour. The 13th annual Holiday Home Tour will take

Although many of the area’s Christmas traditions have been observed for decades, many local organizations and businesses have combined their efforts in recent years to offer the community a holiday celebration to remember. Tree Lighting will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, at the Strasburg Borough Office, 145 Precision Ave. During the event, the Lampeter-Strasburg Area Woman’s Club will offer complimentar y cookies, and refreshments will be available to purchase from Joe on the Go Coffee Co. and Robino’s food trucks.
