he East Petersburg Events C o m m i t te e h o s t s f re e , family-friendly community events throughout the year, with the goal of bringing neighbors together and creating welcoming traditions for all ages. Everyone who lives in the borough and beyond is invited to the biggest community event of the year, East Petersburg Days, which will begin Wednesday, Sept. 16. The celebration will culminate with a full slate of events on Saturday, Sept. 19, including a 5K and kids’ fun run, a parade, a carnival and fireworks. “East Petersburg is a small, tight-knit community,” events committee chair Kristin Troop said. “ You can walk down the street and see a neighbor, and you can walk to the park. It feels

The Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development is making a splash to celebrate its 90th anniversary. The center, at 625 Community Way, L ancaster, invites everyone in the community to attend the 38th annual Duckie R ace & Festival from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13. The free, family-friendly festival will include activities,
entertainment, food and inclusive races, all while supporting the nonprofit center’s efforts to provide therapy services to children throughout central Pennsylvania.
