Something for everyone. The cliché holds true for the garage sale held by the Church of the Apostles United Church of Christ (UCC). The annual event will be held Friday, April 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 1850 Marietta Ave., Lancaster. Sale items were donated by members of the congregation, Church of the Apostle’s preschool families, Homestead Village Retirement Communities, and people from the neighborhood. The cash only sale will feature men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing and shoes; purses; games; books; puzzles; tools; garden tools; electrical appliances; seasonal items; dishes; pots and pans; small furniture; and vases. “As a church, we welcome all people,” church administrator Melissa Kosman said. “ We would love to have the community come out to basically support themselves, support the community and those in need. It’s a great opportunity to do some shopping and grab lunch.

the organization can help. EPC is carrying on a family tradition started by company founder Alvin Engle, who was Jocelyn’s grandfather. Alvin was involved with numerous philanthropic endeavors and set the tone for the company going forward, Jocelyn said.
