Misfits on a Mission plan holiday shopping bazaar

According to Barb Martin, associate director of mission advancement at Garden Spot Village (GSV), the annual GSV Christmas market is a popular attraction. “It’s very well attended,” shared Martin, who noted that 1,000 to 1,500 visitors enjoy the shopping and activities associated with the celebration. This year’s Village Christmas Market, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will turn the Village Square and adjacent areas at 433 S. The Misfits on a Mission Relay for Life Team Santa’s Workshop Holiday Shopping Bazaar for 2024 is billed as the 14th annual, but organizer Sharon Groff believes the event may date back even further. “We’ve probably been holding it longer, but we have records going back 14 years,” said Groff. The bazaar, which raises funds to fight cancer, will be held in the Garden Spot Fire Rescue hall, 339 E. Main St., New Holland, on

Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The vendor and craft show will offer a variety of items for sale, food, and a Chinese auction. There is no admission fee charged to attend. “With more than 40 vendors and crafters, it will be a packed house,” shared Groff. “We will have (items) to appeal to all tastes.” Among the crafters at the bazaar will be those selling gloves, hats, and other knitted items and woodcrafts. “Crocheted animals are really popular,” noted Groff.
