The Downingtown Farmers Market will be open on Saturdays, Nov. 5, 12, 19 and 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market, 28 E. Pennsylvania Ave., is located in the Log House Field in Kerr Park next to the gazebo. Shoppers will find fall decor, local mums, seasonal fruits and vegetables and more. The Historic Yellow Springs Fine Arts & Craft Show will be held in the Lincoln and Washington buildings at Historic Yellow Springs, 1685 Art School Road, Chester Springs. Artisans will display jewelry, ceramics, fiber arts, wood, sculpture, paintings, drawings and photography. As part of its “Critter Crafts” program, Chester County Parks + Preservation will present a class on how to build a natural bird feeder using pinecones and peanut butter. The 21st annual Chester County Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 24, at Downingtown West High School (DWHS), 445 Manor Ave. The event will include a 5K race, a 2-mile walk and a kids’ fun run. In addition to supporting the DWHS cross-country team, proceeds of the race will benefit the Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation.
