ast year’s Trunk or Treat was well attended,” said Adriana Witman, schoolage program administrator with Steps to Success, a Christian preschool and day care service with locations in Leola and Mount Joy. Witman noted that the 2022 program attracted more people than the initial Trunk or Treat held in 2021. As in the past, the event will be held in partnership with Zion Lutheran Church, located at 18 Quarry Road, Leola, on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. Witman and Jenna Dixon, Fritz Elementary School Steps to Success site director, will organize the Trunk or Treat. The Trunk or Treat will feature a number of decorated trunks offering candy in the church parking lot. “We will have anything from Barbie to Disney (trunk themes),” said Witman, who noted that in 2022, 20 trunks were featured, but that the parking lot can accommodate up to 40 vehicles.
