Theatre Arts for Everyone (TAFE) will present “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 700 E. Market St., York, at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 and 14, and at 3 p.m. on Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 15. The play is based on the 1971 book of the same name by Barbara Robinson. The story focuses on the Herdmans, six delinquent children who go to church because they hear there will be snacks and end up being cast in the lead roles in the church’s Christmas pageant. The play has been performed thousands of times around the world. Several cast and crew members are performing this show for their second, third, or sixth time. There will be a chance to visit with Santa after each performance. Parking is available behind the church. Attendees should enter through the double glass doors in the rear of the church. The theater is only accessible via stairs. To purchase tickets, readers may visit http://bcpe2019.eventbrite.com. More information is available by calling 717884-8233 or emailing info@tafepa.org.
