Pouring in Multiple Layers (When Required)
Minimum pour depth: 40mm
Where site logistics or access restrict a single deep pour, TLA can be installed in stages. Example: 700mm Total Depth (Two-Layer Approach).
Maximum pour depth: Not technically limited For deeper applications, material performance is not the limiting factor—instead, site conditions and practical handling will determine what is achievable.
What Limits Pour Depth on Site? In real-world installations, the following factors will dictate maximum pour depth: Access and movement within the pour area. Pump setup and reach. Working time and logistics. Installer safety and comfort.
Day 1
Install first 350mm layer of TLA.
Curing Period
Allow TLA to cure fully. Drying time will vary depending on seasonal conditions (summer vs winter).
Day 3–4
Lightly dampen the surface of the cured TLA. Install second 350mm layer. This method ensures continuity of performance while accommodating site constraints.
PPE Considerations
Installer safety is critical when working at depth: Do not pour above the height of standard Wellington boots. For deeper pours, appropriate PPE such as chest waders should be used. Always ensure safe footing and stability within the pour.
