This is the Budget Proposal for the City of Los Angeles Department of Neighborhood Empowerment for Fiscal Year 2020-2021. The Department serves as the primary support agency for LA's system of 99 Neighborhood Councils, which together form the community-based branch of LA's municipal government. This proposal - along with proposals from all other City departments - will be considered by the Office of the Mayor, the Office of the City Administrative Officer (CAO), and the LA City Council's Budget and Finance Committee during the next several months, so that elements of the proposal shown here may be included in the Mayor's finalized City Budget for 2020-2021, which will be available via the Mayor's Office in the spring of 2020.
