Streetcare Operatives Permanent- 37 hours per week Salary Scale D £15,207 to £16,969 South Lakeland District Council is seeking to employ enthusiastic and motivated people into various roles within their Street Scene Department. These roles are to assist in ensuring that the highest standard of cleansing services are delivered and maintained for residents in the South Lakeland area. Applicants must hold a current full driving licence and be willing to train to achieve their C1 licence. The Council will assist in the training and full details will be provided to successful candidates. Applications will also be accepted from current LGV and C1 licence holders. A Mechanical Engineering qualification is necessary along with education to GCSE level (or equivalent). Competency in the use of Microsoft Office is essential and knowledge of SolidWorks or an equivalent CAD package is desirable. We are looking for a motivated individual with a hands on approach, who is team focussed and has an interest in machines and how they work.
