The Council is looking to recruit a Manager for the Coronation Hall at Ulverston. The role also includes management of the day-to-day operation of the Councils indoor and outdoor markets in Ulverston to ensure they meet the needs of the community.
Full Time Furniture Team Member 40 hours per week, working every other weekend and bank holidays on a rota basis
The successful candidate will have previous experience of managing a theatre or other public entertainment venue and experience of managing staff. We are seeking to recruit a motivated, well organised individual to work as part of the multi-skilled Development Management team. This is a key supporting post within the Council. You will be responsible to the Development Control Team Leader. You will be educated to A level standard or equivalent with, ideally, a relevant qualification in Planning or a related field, together with significant experience of negotiations in the public and private sector when dealing with difficult situations requiring tact and diplomacy. The purpose of the role is to negotiate with developers external to the Council, to inform, enforce and collect Community Infrastructure Levy fees due to the Authority.
