Our College is situated in Kendal, Cumbria on the edge of the stunning Lake District, a beautiful area to work in. Kendal College is opening an exciting new Animal Care Department on its main site based around a Wildlife rescue; and rehabilitation centre. The centre will have many varied species and a clinic operated by veterinarians producing an outstanding learning experience for our students. We are looking to recruit:
Lecturer and Co-ordinator Animal Care Level 1 – 2 Permanent 0.6 (22.2 hrs) L1 - £23,645 - £29,956 L2 - £31,784 - £35,778 p.a. (pro rata) Lecturer Animal Care Level 1 – Maternity Cover – 0.6 (22.2 hrs) Temp 4 months - £23,645 - £29,956 p.a. (pro rata) Animal Care Technician Permanent Full Time (37 hrs) £17,136 - £18,654 - p.a. or Part Time 0.5 (18.5 hours) - £8,568 - £9,327 pa We need our Lecturers to be innovative and enthusiastic, providing an outstanding experience for our learners. Lecturer 2 level should have veterinarian experience and the ability to co-ordinate the curriculum. You should welcome the opportunities that this will create for our learners and be focussed on high quality teaching and learning to ensure successful student outcomes. Our Technicians will care for the animals, prepare and maintain the environment and facilitate use of this superb environment for our learners. You should have a passion for wildlife and a desire to communicate this to our learners who you will be working alongside. This post includes some out of hours work. You will be joining a small, dedicated team that is developing a brand new department that will contribute to the outstanding reputation the college has achieved.
