We are looking for a self motivated person to join us at our Distribution Centre in Kendal and take this opportunity to become part of our leadership team, reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager. The successful candidate will lead a group of team leaders and colleagues, ensuring that short to medium term organisation of processes and colleagues meet the business and departmental service requirements and objectives. You must have at least 3 years recent supervisory experience of a team of no less than 50 people, gained in a hands-on, fast moving and demanding warehouse environment. Our Distribution team currently receive over 120,000 pallets a year and at peak, pick and despatch over 100,000 picks a week, across 6 or 7 day deliveries to our 65 UK stores and export franchisees. This is in addition to replenishing our Home Shopping department who pick and despatch 50,000 customer orders a week at peak. • Do you have the proven experience we are looking for? • Are you customer focused? • Are you a completer/finisher who likes change? • Do you have an ability to continuously improve warehouse systems and procedures? • Are you KPI orientated, with planning and analytical abilities? • Do you have good communication skills to support a dedicated team? • Are you methodical, organised and enthusiastic? • Are you self motivated and relish achievement of objectives? The Distribution team is currently operational 24/7 and you will provide effective hands-on supervisory cover on a rota basis. This role is full time 39 hours with a competitive salary, rota’d weekend working and may involve night cover too.
