The fashion industry, infamous for its negative impact on
ç°å¢ãžã®æªåœ±é¿ã§æªåé«ããã¡ãã·ã§ã³æ¥çã¯ãæ°ããã
the environment, is now headed to a more sustainable and
ã€ãªãããªã¢ã«ã®çºæã掻çšãªã©ãããŸããŸãªæ¹æ³ã§ãã
circular model exploring many ways including the inventions
埪ç°åã®æç¶å¯èœãªã¢ãã«ãžãšåãã£ãŠãããããããä¿®
and utilizations of new biomaterials. Yet, for now, using the
çãã¡ã³ããã³ã¹ã«ãã£ãŠææã¡ã®è¡£æãéŽãã§ããã ã
clothes and shoes we already have as long as possible
é·ã䜿ãããšããæãæç¶å¯èœãªéžæè¢ã§ããããšãçŸç¶
through repair and maintenance remains to be the most
ã ãæ¬ç ç©¶ã§ã¯ãç·åœ¢ã¢ãã«ãã埪ç°ã¢ãã«ãžã®ç§»è¡æã«
sustainable option. This research poses the need for design
ããããã¶ã€ã³ã®å¿ èŠæ§ãããªãã¡ç·åœ¢ã¢ãã«ã§ãã¶ã€ã³
during the transitional period between the linear model to
ããã補åã®å¯¿åœãå»¶ã°ãããã®ãã¶ã€ã³ã®å¿ èŠæ§ãæèµ·
the circular model; i.g. design for extending the life of liner-
ããŠããããã®ãããªãã¶ã€ã³ãšããŠã®ããã€ãªãããªã¢
design products. It does so by exploring and speculating the
ã«ãšå ±ã«ä¿®ç¹ããããšãã®å¯èœæ§ããããªã¢ã«ã»ãªãµãŒã
potential of inviting living organisms, specifically mycelium,
ããããã¿ã€ãã³ã°ãæªæ¥ã·ããªãªã®çµã¿ç«ãŠãªã©ã®ææ³
as a partner in repairing our daily belongings through
ãçšããŠæ¢ããããåŸãæªæ¥ãæçŽ¢ããã
material research in the lab and home, ideation, prototyping and future scenario building.
