VISION

At the end of the day, what really matters to God is whether we as believers are loving others well.
It is easy to get caught up in accomplishing projects, finishing the work, and making impact. But we have to remember that doing and accomplishing must be coupled with love and concern for those we serve. We never want to lose sight of the people side of this ministry.
Not only does this include the worldwide staff of EMI, it includes our partner ministries who are advancing the Gospel, and it includes the people struggling to survive another day in the communities where we work.
VISION FOR
Loving and serving people is what EMI is all about. It is the motive and energy that fuels our pursuit of excellent designs that point to Jesus and meet people’s needs.

VISION FOR TOUCHING LIVES
From abandoned children with disabilities in Uganda to new followers of Jesus in Cambodia, EMI is working to develop the built environment in such a way that speaks dignity and worth into every individual.
Hospitals, schools, ministry centers, community water systems, and electrical networks are being built with ministry effectiveness and people in mind.
We are reminded of Jesus’ words, ‘Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25:40)

VISION FOR SIL SENEGAL

Project Details
Designed by: EMI Senegal
Completed: March 2023
Project Duration: 3 Years
Size: 3,000 m2 / 4 Buildings
While many of us first heard the gospel in our heart language, its journey began over 2000 years ago in a tongue most of us will never speak. So that we might understand, a passionate believer undertook the arduous task of translation. That passionate and arduous work is the heart of SIL Senegal.
To serve regional populations, SIL decided to relocate their center away from the industrial zone of Dakar. This move also reflects a pivot from developing printed matter to the production of digital and audio Bible content for smartphones.
EMI Senegal designed and supervised construction of the SIL campus, which now has the space to host events, workshops, and families as well as the partner ministries and churches which collaborated to bring the gospel into Senegal’s many local languages and dialects.

CAMBODIA
GLOBAL

Our projects take us to the ends of the earth. With over a hundred projects needing help each year, these are the people who get it done.
Different generations, nations, and design disciplines come together to team up with ministries and communities as they dream about a better future where clean water is flowing, healthcare is available, and excellent education is a normal way of life.
VISION FOR GROWTH
Our staff, volunteers, and interns give Christian ministries the tools they need to make their dreams a reality. Whether still in university or retiring from a career in design, we would love to have you join us in this important work.
