Automotive Cable Lugs
One of our core competences is the production of cable lugs for use in the automotive industry. Here, we process different materials and finish them with the desired surfaces. Especially for the application area with increased moisture influences, we use solid cable lugs which guarantee gas tightness in any situation. In addition to standard shapes, we develop and design customized cable lugs. we create the necessary drawings with the automotive standard CAD programs.
We also support you in crimp design to achieve the best possible solution with the used cable. We give you a complete system from a single source.
Stamping
Using our custom stamping and production tool manufacturing facilities we are able to offer many different precision stamped parts either in loose pieces or in strip form and in a variety of materials to meet your requirements.
Precision components are manufactured in ferrous and non-ferrous materials on multi-stage progression tooling on presses ranging from 25 – 250 tons.
Automotive Glass Connectors
We design and manufacture electrical interconnects for on-glass connector systems. Typically, parts include a wide variety of pre-soldered terminals and single, dual or multiple wire lead assemblies being processed for use in power and signal applications.
Standard processes include high speed doubleended wire cut, strip and terminate, precision stamping, post plating, automated round form or flat form solder deposition and automated fluxing processes.
Wiring Harnesses
Our capabilities range from complex wiring harnesses to single crimped wires to a variety of assembly work. We have the ability to process wires using the latest automatic cut, strip and terminate machines each having its own integral crimp force monitoring system ensuring quality is achieved on a repeatable basis.
We supply to markets such as automotive & utility vehicles, heating, ventilation & conditioning, household appliances, lawn care, refrigeration and vending.
Panel
Assemblies
We specialise in the supply of electrical control cabinets and panel assemblies utilizing our cable assembly capabilities and our extensive supplier network to offer a complete assembly providing our customers with significant cost and time savings.
We can also support the development and the layout of the panels ensuring maximum optimization.
Automotive Crimping Tool
Especially for applications in the automotive sector, we have developed hydraulic tools that meet the highest requirements. With the product portfolio, we can offer you equipment for applications such as prototyping, pre-production and serial production. In the battery powered area, the devices can handle up to 12 tons of pressing force. Our stationary press heads reach a force of up to 25 tons. This allows processing of the cable lugs up to a cross-section of 120qmm.
A further advantage is the comparative compact modular design of the devices and components, which simplifies the setup, planning and conversion of the workstations.
Optionally, we offer an additional monitoring system, which allows control of the pressing.
Laboratory and Validation Stamping Tool
Precision stamped parts are important elements in a variety of electronic and electrotechnical applications. Operational reliability and production quality of the final product are primarily determined by stamping technology. Here, the course for all subsequent work steps is set. In our stamping technology we therefore count on uncompromising precision with highly developed automated processes. With our experienced design department and manufacturing sophisticated stamping tools and dies, we have a deep understanding of what is needed to stamp high quality parts. Managing new stamping programs as well as the transfer of existing programs, Klauke has a long history of delivering projects on schedule. We have experience working with stainless and cold rolled steel, hardened and tempered steel, aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, other ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
For the cable lugs and crimp geometry we use our house internal laboratory to carry out the most important test for validation. The focus here is on ensuring the contacting in the crimping area. Depending on the OEM specification, we carry out the following checks. Derating, temperature shock, “slow motion bending”, micrograph and pull-out test. If different tests are required, they are carried out with our external partners and coordinated by us.
In addition to the pure test, the results are summarized together with the performance at the OEM.
