Hello Black Hawk Family,
Spring is a special time at Black Hawk Golf Club! The course is in SPRING condition, the weather is perfect, and it’s the ideal season to enjoy a round with friends and fellow members
As a valued member, you have the privilege of introducing someone to the Black Hawk experience! While we are currently not on a waitlist, we have limited openings available Being that we very close to capacity, once that happens, we will be closing off the golf categories and will begin to offer waitlist-only memberships So now is a great time to share the club with friends who may be interested in membership before they have to wait to join the club!
With a variety of golf and social events planned for the season, we encourage you to bring a guest to experience all that Black Hawk has to offer If you would like to invite a friend to join you on the course or at one of our upcoming events, please reach out we’d love to help make it happen!

⛳ Individual Eclectic Classic | March 21-22
Challenge yourself in this unique two-day format, where you'll have the opportunity to improve your score from round one to round two. This is a fantastic way to test your game and see just how low you can go!
�� Sip & Shop | March 17 | 2 PM - 7 PM
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style with our Sip & Shop event! Stop by the Golf Shop between 2 PM and 7 PM to browse new arrivals, take advantage of special deals, and enjoy a festive drink while you shop. It’s the perfect way to treat yourself and get into the Irish spirit!

�� New Yardage Board has arrived at the Driving Range Launching this March, our brand-new yardage board will help you dial in your distances and make the most of your practice sessions Whether you're sharpening your wedge play or fine-tuning your long irons, this new addition will be a game-changer for your range time.

March is always an interesting month in golf course maintenance The weather is improving, and we ’ re all eager for the grass to start growing but until we start getting consistently into the mid-80s during the day and high 60s at night, the bermuda is mostly just greening up but not actively growing and recovering
We’ve scalped down and added new chipping areas around the greens on #5, #12, and #17 We’ll collaborate with the golf staff to identify other potential areas where we can do the same These additions will introduce new shotmaking opportunities and require creativity to get up and down from around the greens
This month is a critical time for our pre-emerge herbicides, as we’ll be applying different products to all areas of the golf course this month We’re trying some new formulations this year with the goal of keeping our course as weedfree as possible
Our next shipment of bunker sand arrived on property as well, and we’ll be adding it to key greenside bunkers throughout the month We’ll continue to collaborate with the golf staff to best select which bunkers it goes into
