Pride Round Guest Speaker: Mitch Brown
The Eltham Wildcats are proud to welcome Mitch Brown as our special guest for Pride Round.
A former AFL West Coast Eagles defender, Mitch has become one of Australia's leading advocates for inclusion, belonging and positive change in sport. In 2025, he became the first past or present male AFL player to publicly come out as bisexual, helping spark important conversations about creating sporting environments where everyone feels safe to be themselves.
Since then, Mitch has worked closely with Pride Cup, supporting clubs across Australia to help sporting organisations at all levels to ensure every participant, volunteer and supporter feels they belong, regardless of their sexuality or gender identity.
Before tonight's games, Mitch will share some of his story and discuss the importance of visibility and authenticity within sporting clubs.
