PLANNING FOR OUR FUTURE WHY ELMBROOK IS DEVELOPING A PROACTIVE 20-YEAR FACILITIES PLAN The Elmbrook Board of Education has a strong history of responsibly maintaining and updating our community schools. With more than $5 million dedicated annually for capital maintenance and facility improvements from our District operating budget, we have plans to invest $70 million over the next ten years for needed maintenance and repairs as we continue to address future needs and avoid costly emergency repairs.

Despite excellent care and maintenance, the age of our facilities are leading to emerging costs that may exceed our ability to absorb them within the annual operating budget.

To proactively address these significant needs and steward standards of safety, responsibility, and academic flexibility in our community schools for the next generation, the Board has embarked upon a comprehensive 20-Year Facilities Plan review. This long-term strategy allows us to consider complex and necessary improvements that will serve current and future Elmbrook students in the most fiscally responsible manner. The Board of Education and District staff are currently studying the specific needs in each of our schools and options to address those needs, and we encourage you to be part of the process.
