One particular character, famed detective Sherlock Holmes, has stood the test of time better than most. Although the clever Englishman was brought to life 139 years ago by Scottish author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, fans of the fictional investigator are still clawing at page and screen for more. maker Guy Ritchie (“Snatch,” 2000), premieres Wednesday, March 4, on Prime Video. Split into eight episodes, all of which are to be released at once, “Young Sherlock” stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin (“The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” 2024) as the titular budding brainiac. Nephew to actors Ralph Fiennes (“28 Years Later,” 2025) and Joseph Fiennes (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), Fiennes Tiffin’s breakout role came in 2009 when he was cast as the 11-year-old version of Tom Riddle in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” the sixth film in the eight-film series.
