Downhill Thrills at the Tubing Park
Looking for a guaranteed fun outdoor experience this winter? Check out Holiday Valley Tubing Company! If you like flying down the hill in an inflatable tube without the work of lugging it back to the top, this place is for you. The Tubing Park has up to 22 lanes, including a couple group lanes for linking up with friends, that are 900 feet long and drop 100 vertical feet. Two handle tows conveniently pull you back up the hill. A special Little Tubers area is also available, weather permitting, for younger children at a cost of $5. A cozy warming hut is at the base of the hill with a snack bar, fireplace and restrooms. Or you can warm up and rest outside at the giant bonfire pit. Even more great news! If the weather continues to cooperate, the ice rink will soon make its return to the base of the hill at the tubing park. The Holiday Valley Tubing Company is located on the corner of Route 242 and Bryant Hill Road, just four miles from Holiday Valley on the north side of Ellicottville. A free shuttle service to and from Holiday Valley is available every two hours during operating hours. Pickup is at the Resort Services Center. The tubing park is open Thursdays through Sundays, plus over the February break: Feb. 20, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Feb. 21-24, 4:30 to 9 p.m. Rates start at $10 for a twohour slide for ages 15 and under. For more info, visit www. holidayvalley.com/winter/ tubing.
