How can you go wrong with two nights of beer, wine, good friends and music? The 13th annual Beer and Wine Festival takes place this weekend, Nov. 11 and 12 at Holiday Valley, and is sure to be a rip-roarinā good time! āPeople love beer! Especially millennials, who are becoming more and more interested in craft beers and their many ļ¬avors,ā said Jane Eshbaugh, Holiday Valleyās marketing director. Kick off the weekend with Friday nightās Beer and Wine Dinner, starting at 6 p.m. āThe Bootleggers Ball,ā with a Roaring 20s-Prohibition theme, features several dishes prepared with and paired with unique and special brews. On Saturday, Nov. 12, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., head to the Holiday Valley Beer and Wine Festival in HVās Main Lodge. Live it up with great beers and wines. The festival features 30 craft brewers with over 100 beers and wines from New York State and the region. Eshbaugh noted that this yearās event will feature, āA few more food vendors ā Whatās Poppinā Kettle Corn on the deck, Domās Butcher Block with smoked meats and Bavarian Nuts, in addition to our cafeteria offerings (sausage, pretzels, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.).ā Each ticket includes a $5 food voucher to the food court. Planning Board to Address Notiļ¬cation Process
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Village Planning Board (PB) was held on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the Village/ Town Hall. Two concerned village homeowners addressed the PB about their notiļ¬cation system to adjoining property owners where a project is occurring. For Public Hearings, the PB
must give the homeowners a 10-day notiļ¬cation. Because a majority of the village is secondary homeowners, they feel this is not enough time to ļ¬nd out about the project, do research, travel to Ellicottville and give their opinion. The PB was grateful for the comments and concerns, and are considering ways to create better processes and advised
they have been working in conjunction with the Village Board to ļ¬nd solutions. The Architectural Review and Landscape Plan for the project on the Mill Street Project was approved. They have added a new window to the home and these plans were presented to the PB at this monthās work session. The
