Located in Charleroi, Belgium, La Forge is a 1,225 sqm fitness and social destination combining training, recovery and community. The space includes a café and community hub, physiotherapy and personal training rooms, open gym areas, a studio and changing facilities with saunas.
My role on this project was lead designer, overseeing the full design journey from initial space planning and concept development through to Stage 4 technical design. This included leading client meetings, attending site visits and producing technical drawing packages consisting of plans, elevations, joinery / details and schedules.
Upon completion of the Charleroi site, the client plans to roll out multiple locations across Belgium, with this project established as the flagship site for the brand.

The design intent was to create an energetic, futuristic environment that celebrates the building’s existing industrial character. While drawing inspiration from the urban identity of Charleroi; Belgium’s former industrial powerhouse, known for its raw, authentic aesthetic. A palette of dark and reflective materials is enhanced through dramatic, layered lighting to amplify atmosphere, depth and movement throughout the space.

The brief for Core Fitness in Saudi Arabia was to redesign the existing gym; elevating the overall experience through upgraded finishes, a revised spatial layout and new gym equipment.
The main design challenge was reimagining the central feature, which originally consisted of slatted panels with colour-changing lighting. Many users frequently raised awareness that the direct lighting was too intense and distracting during workouts. Our design response was to soften this focal element, creating a more comfortable and atmospheric environment. This was achieved by wrapping the central dome in a washi-paper effect fabric and backlighting it to produce a warm, diffused glow, inspired by traditional lanterns.
I led the design from concept through to detailed development, including space planning, conceptual design, material and lighting specifications. While modelling the space in 3D on Sketchup.

PROJECT TYPE: PILATES STUDIO

CIRQ is an upcoming wellness and social space located in Ibiza, Spain. The design concept draws inspiration from traditional Ibizan architecture, particularly its use of authentic natural materials such as clay and stone. Geometry plays a significant role in Mediterranean design, often expressed through simple lattice patterns and rhythmic architectural forms.
This influence shaped the overall concept, leading to the incorporation of three-dimensional brickwork elements and lattice screens throughout the space. Warm terracotta tones and strategic colour blocking were used to define and enhance the café and studio areas, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere.

PROJECT TYPE: PRIVATE WELLNESS CENTRE
Mayhaven is a private wellness centre located within a residential development in Mayfair, London. Designed exclusively for residents, the client’s brief was to create a space that felt both luxurious and unique, offering a refined retreat from city life. The centre includes a fully equipped gym and personal training area, treatment rooms and spa with a sauna, steam room and an experience shower. As all areas can be privately booked, the design needed to support both relaxation and shared experiences.
My role on this project involved developing the overall design and producing the full technical drawing package, including plans, elevations, bespoke joinery details and schedules. With the demise only being 108 sqm and requiring many facilities, the majority of joinery was customdesigned, requiring attention to detail. Challenges arose when it came to the functionality of the space, therefore working closely and coordinating with the mechanical and electrical team, ensured seamless integration of services within the design.

The design was inspired by Ayurveda, a holistic approach to medicine with historical roots in the Indian subcontinent. It takes a natural approach to all aspects of health and overall well-being. This concept informed a material palette of calming natural hues, incorporating rich green textured wallpapers, stone surfaces and deep walnut veneers. Sensory experience played a key role in the design: tactile elements such as hammered and fluted finishes were used across doors and joinery to enhance touch. While integrated ceiling-mounted diffuser systems were designed to engage the sense of smell, creating a fully immersive experience.

PROJECT TYPE: LEISURE CENTRE
Inspired by natural movement, King’s Premiere Club is organised around four core elements - grounding, lifting, balancing and flowing. This shapes the spatial experience of the pool hall, spa and treatment areas. The brief for this project was to design an additional wellness centre within the existing leisure complex, located in Jersey.
Our scope focused on the entrance area, featuring a layered mesh lighting installation that forms a crown-like shape. This welcoming and immersive space guides visitors into the pool hall, treatment suites, spa and the exclusive members’ spa, which includes a sauna, steam room, ice bath and experience showers.
My role on this project involved contributing to the initial design concept and producing the 3D model. SketchUp was used as a primary design tool due to the complexity of the layered elements, allowing the design to be developed and resolved in three dimensions before producing the detailed 2D technical drawings.

DEVELOPMENT THROUGH SKETCHUP
Located in Chelmsford, Essex, Beaulieu Padel is a 2,013 sqm padel and social club, featuring six padel courts, a café, gym, changing facilities and a spa on ground level. The mezzanine level accommodates co-working and viewing areas, staff facilities, treatment rooms and a yoga studio.
I was the lead designer on this project, working closely with the client throughout all stages. My responsibilities included developing and presenting design concepts, conducting site visits, coordinating with contractors and producing detailed technical drawings.
The project was located within a tent structure, requiring close collaboration with the tent manufacturer to develop the initial layout. I later coordinated with a specialist mezzanine manufacturer to introduce additional floor space within the club. This presented several challenges regarding building regulations, as the structure did not conform to typical commercial building standards, effectively creating a building within a tent. Through designing accordingly with building control officers and fire consultants, these challenges were successfully resolved.

The design brief was to create a space that felt softer and more feminine, responding to the client’s observation that many existing padel clubs tend to feel masculine, often dominated by dark, primary colour palettes. Our design response was to introduce aqua / turquoise courts, establishing a distinctive brand identity colour, while the surrounding social spaces adopt a neutral palette complemented by soft, warm lighting. Textured, natural materials and planting, creates depth and contrast within the neutral colour scheme.

Upon entry, the space opens into a retail area centred around a bespoke feature display, designed to showcase merchandise. To the left, a further bespoke retail wall incorporates concealed push to open drawers beneath. Both elements were developed and detailed as part of the joinery drawing package.
The café counter has been designed in accordance with the client’s equipment requirements. It features a Corian worktop with a mitred edge and concealed LED lighting, which washes down onto glossy mosaic tiles.

The visuals have been designed in Sketchup and rendered in Photoshop.

As part of our scope, we completed Stage 5 design, which included close coordination with the on-site contractors. Overseeing the construction progress, resolving technical queries and ensuring the completed works align with the design intent. In the final phase, site visits and inspections were completed to provide a snagging list. The images show the project in it’s final stages, shortly before opening to the public.

PROJECT TYPE: AESTHETICS CLINIC
Hart Clinic, located in Mayfair, London, is an aesthetics clinic designed to deliver a calm, immersive experience. The display lounge opens into a bespoke, organic seating area, framed by curved shelving and coffered ceilings with concealed LEDs set above softly waved, draped fabric. This versatile space is designed to host both events and appointments, featuring a matcha bar and retail displays, as well as an outdoor terrace with bar style seating for use during the warmer months.
A sculptural spiral staircase descends to the basement level, where the design language continues with a neutral, fluid aesthetic. The lower floor accommodates a treatment room for aesthetic procedures, alongside a longevity therapy suite offering red light therapy and natural salt blocks. Inspired by the tranquillity of natural stone caves, the space is defined by textured walls and warm, ambient lighting, creating a deeply restorative environment.
My role for Hart Clinic consisted of creating the design concept and the 3D model to present to the client.

PROJECT TYPE: CONCEPTUAL UNIVERSITY PROJECT
The Redefined Health Centre was my final university project, focused on designing a community orientated healthcare facility within a repurposed church in Newport, Isle of Wight. With only one hospital serving the entire island, local residents often experience long waiting times and limited access to ongoing support. In response to these challenges, the project proposes a community-led health centre where medical professionals can refer patients for holistic and clinical care, providing a vital layer of preventative and long-term support.
The existing church will serve as a central point, enabling users to appreciate the existing architecture, while redefining the typical layout of healthcare facilities. With the extensions either side being used for clinical and private spaces, it will allow for modern healthcare interventions and technology to be installed without damaging the existing stone structure.

The interior concept focuses on creating fluidity and movement throughout the structure. The design aims to facilitate circulation by incorporating curved walls and open space. A skylight has been introduced to allow for more nature light within the building, while casting shadows along the curved elements, reinforcing the theme of motion and flow. Additionally, the light and shadows highlight the textured surface of the original stone walls.

The extension features a curved design to contrast, but follow the existing angular shape of the church. Inspiring movement around the building, using the existing architecture as a pathway across the entire interior.

PROJECT TYPE: CONCEPTUAL UNIVERSITY PROJECT
The redesign of the Civic Centre in the heart of Weymouth reimagines an abandoned structure as an immersive exploration of the Jurassic Coast’s rich history.
The project creates a layered architectural and visual experience, highlighting the site’s heritage and ecological significance while educating visitors about climate challenges and the responsibility to protect future coastal ecosystems.

Weymouth’s popularity as a tourist destination leads to increased seasonal pollution, particularly coastal littering. Initial site analysis and research helped develop the design, by understanding the local environment and town.

An ecological network runs through the waters surrounding and interwinding within the town.

Surrounding the site; this could affect transportation or access to the building

PROJECT TYPE: CONCEPTUAL UNIVERSITY PROJECT
An engaging, educational pavilion and sound installation that allows users to hear an amplified version of the ecosystems within Wild Woodbury, nature reserve. Creating awareness of every living species within an soundscape. Through amplifying sounds that are largely unheard to humans, through the process of regenerative design and bioacoustics.
