and eradicate from our politics and private lives the apathy to hunger which comes from over-eating.
Bryansford Parish Church Harvest Readings and Praise
Let us pray for the hungry and the fed.
Let us pray for the hungry in other lands, where economies, burdened by debt, cannot respond to human need: or where fields are farmed for our benefit by low-waged workers courted by starvation. Lord, feed your people, even if rulers must cancel debt, and shareholders lose profit, or diners restrict their choice in order that all may be nourished Let us pray for the hungry and the fed.
Lord, have mercy.
Let us pray for the hungry for justice, who document inequalities, demonstrate against tyranny, distinguish between need and greed, and are sometimes misrepresented or persecuted in the process. May their labour not be in vain and may we be counted in their number. Let us pray for the hungry and the fed.
Lord, have mercy.
Blessing God the Father who created the world give you grace to be wise stewards of his creation. Amen. God the Son who redeemed the world inspire you to go out as labourers into his harvest. Amen. God the Holy Spirit whose breath fills the whole of creation, help you to bear his fruits of love, joy, and peace. Amen.
And the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit be with you and remain with you always. Amen. Hymn 75

Lord dismiss us with thy blessing 4
Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you. Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you. The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, has blessed us. May God continue to bless us; let all the ends of the earth revere him. Hymn 37
